    I'm a frustrated single figure handicap golfer who's been trying endlessly, it seems, to figure out a consistent golf swing that I can relate to and that will help me improve my game. I've been watching CH for several months now and by following his advice have experienced a step-change of improvement. I've had a lot of false dawns over the years but I'm 100% confident that what CH teaches successfully works for me. There will always be critics and sceptics, because that's life. CH needs to ignore them and stick to what he's doing. Because what he's created is, in the world of golf, pretty unique. He's also doing a really good job sharing it with us all.

    As a retired golf teacher of 74 years old and an advocate of the Hogan golf swing, I taught my students from the 5 easy lessons book written by Mr Ben Hogan and told them to buy it and make it there bible of the golf swing. These are good starting fundamentals and now Mr Hudson totally breaking it down for everyone to understand even better. What he is teaching is 100% correct. I recommend everyone to watch every video he makes.

    Bottom line Chris has taught me how to setup, grip the club fix my posture and turn like the human body is supposed too!
    No other instructors on You Tube that I have seen offer the correct body movements as compared to CH! My body feels no pain or tightness when I swing & the ball goes where I’m aiming. Keep these great videos coming Chris. You never disappoint man!

    I love what you say here, Chris, you are spot on. Hogan used every part of his body to assume the positions of strength going back and going through. I believe the Hogan connection video from his appearance on the Ed Sullivan show is a great starting point. No thinking involved, just simplicity itself. Great video.

    15:35, you stressed that the arms are not touching each other. i wonder what is the difference? what effect does it have on the swing. can you elaborate? thank you.

    Whenever I find my driver difficult to control I have gone back to feeling my right elbow folding against my right side in the takeaway. It helps me to more confidently bring the club head back down to the ball. So I’m very interested in what’s being illustrated here. I used to think that Hogan’s hands rose a little above his shoulders. With my hands a little above my shoulders, the top of the backswing feels unsteady.

    You are certainly making a lot of sense, particularly because it seems to me that it is quite natural for the lead arm to spiral.
    However, at the 6:50 mark you mention that the right forearm does NOT spiral, but simply gets into the "supportive" position. However, it seems to me that the right arm ALSO spirals (perhaps inadvertently) in order to GET INTO the "supportive position."

    I see the knocker took down his niggardly reply.
    Keep up the good work Chris.
    As I alluded to I have several big bets at my club that I will get to single figures from a 21hcp. in 12 months.
    I have already dropped 5 strokes in 5 weeks.
    I believe your left Clavical video is the most valuable on UA-cam.
    Thanks to you I will get there Chris and I'm a 70 yo.
    But after all I have overcome a debilitating supposed terminal illness and my Channel is called: whocant.
    Thanks again Chris.
    Grateful Aussie.

    You are only the second instructor to demonstrate what I think is the actual release action ( about 15.50 ). You however have explained why it happens. I think you are on to something. Holding the club in upright position and doing this release feels natural. You have to convince yourself to make it when the club is in the hitting area. Just another of golfs illusions. Thanks for the video. Reinforcing my belief about release versus all the other you tube options.

      this is absolutely not Hogan's release. his wrists don't roll over like this, or at all.

    10/10 my sponge ball flies with confidence.
    Using trail elbow down at top are too complicated for me. Simple swing thought, spin left hand as your teaching , at top, hit as hard as I can to the ball with cocked right wrist as aiming.
    Haven't check yet if there's a casting in downswing.
    Thank youuuuuuuuuuuu
    Edit =
    Finally i under stand roll between arm as you shows. Tremendously increase clubhead speed. And lag where there all the time and every single time, no casting ❤❤❤

      If you want to fade it, aim rifle right of your target, keeping the set up of the lower body in tact.

    well, hogan did have a very anti hook neutral takeaway. but, that may not be something that amateurs, in particular, should copy. when you look at jones's swing you can see how much he extended with the extensor digiti minimi tendon region of his left hand. he, also, pushed back with his wrist joint. his hand and wrist joint combined together to create the arc and broaden the arc. though, hogan had a considerable amount of "downwards rotation" in his waggle this didn't manifest itself into his takeaway, as he advised us it should in five lessons. and, really, his advice in 5 lessons has to be correct. this is especially so when we look at the jones swing. and, it is very notable that jones tells us, in his video, that the club should point to the right at the top of the backswing. no one else has ever said that. and, guess what: he was right.

    So Chris what ur saying is that ur rolling ur wrists at impact

  • @bobp.6337
    @bobp.6337 4 місяці тому

    After watching only two videos my impression is that Chris is like some college professors - knows his stuff but is not explaining it clearly (at least to me). I think the arm spiral is correct and it really feels powerful but I am worried that getting the club head square at impact will require precise timing. I've spent my entire golf life trying to minimize the need for great timing. I'll keep going with his videos and may even look for the Hogan book.
    One big question though is this - Chris teaches the Hogan swing. Why is that better than the modern swing? Would Hogan's swing today look more like Hogan of old or more like, say, Rory's?

    • @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan
      @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan  3 місяці тому

      Hogan's swing attacks the natural geometric angles angles that surround the body. Where the swings of today are manipulating that geometry in one way or another.

    Your confidence tells your snake oil. However, if we can't see you pull off the swing. It will destroy confidence from others. And the fact is you don't show us You're swing why

  • @tonypfronce-ph4in
    @tonypfronce-ph4in Місяць тому +1

    You may have figured out one swing, but not been Hogan. Swing, you have no idea what he's doing. You're looking at a picture in pointing out colors

  • @devonshire56
    @devonshire56 14 днів тому

    Sorry Chris your credibility and instruction is difficult to accept when you can't demonstrate it at the range on grass. If your honest and do try your roll-over wrist swing your timing would have to be dead-on with every swing and that is impossible. Also, your cupped wrist at the top is NOT what every pro is working on, in fact just the opposite. As a golfer your whole presentation in the weird booth overlooking what the River is just out of place, maybe try your backyard with a net. At least we golfers could relate a little more. Someone said "snake-oil" and I'm afraid I have to agree. I wish Mr. Hogan was still alive to set you straight on his swing.

      I really enjoy your videos. I have a question, though, but I'm not trying to be critical...but it seemed to me that Hogan on a DTL film it would look like he exited left so fast that one could never see the tip of the handle of the club, as it would disappear in front of his body. When you show the release in this video, wouldn't that release be different than hogan's, in that onle would be able to see the tip of the handle, implying that the pivot had stalled or slowed and the hands outraced the body?
      Thank you for your time, and I look forward to the answer. And please keep these great videos coming!!!
