I do this a lot. I get excited to play but after loading all my mods and cc content I get bored waiting for it to clear up and start doom scrolling, pause the game because I'm watching an interesting video and then before I know it it's been and hour or more and I haven't even touched my game so I give up or start a completely new family that I'll also never complete.
In line with tip 9, don't be afraid of doing the "bad" interactions. Let your sims be annoyed and angry from time to time. Let them be petty. Don't do the cliché of them marrying and do the happily ever after with the first sims they have Romance with. Do yourself a visual favor and delete those randomly generated sims from time to time. Download service npcs and nocs/townies with specific careers so you can have normal looking coworkers
I play with a lot of families xD And choose the one Im playing every time with the wheel of names... keeps it interesting, never know whats today's drama jajajaja
I THINK bitlife goals and challenges can be cooperated into the sims4 to make the game so much more interesting, being how so complex bitlife is! Great video.
I started with one female sim years ago. She married, had a child, then I focused on the child from teen onwards. She dated, (created the boyfriend and all his family) got married, they had 2 girls, then did the same with them and focused on their stories from teen up. They both are adults with spouses (and made their spouse's families) and children each, and I play rotationally with all the family, playing out all their different lives. Its so fun getting to try all the careers, cas styles, hobbies etc with sims that suit them! Plus I love seeing what all the new generations look like ❤
I only started with sims 4 a few years ago (I couldn't let go of 3) but I have all the packs now and genuinely love it, take time to enjoy your sims you've created folks
My tip is to branch out of your regular gameplay for a different experience. A different safe file, different style of Sims or different story line. Maybe try out some packs or careers you never fully played or Aspirations you never touched.
I love all these tips and I think the last one is really true... engaging in the community is really fun and important, posting your sims online can make you like them even more tbh hahaha, im your new sub!!
I am not bored, but always like to see other people's tools for gameplay. I have been playing with tweaking and adding holidays to my game. Also hosting social events, I always forget to play with those. And I've been having more fun with the chaos of those lately. I usually play a huge multigenerational rotation where the familes overlap but lately I've been playing a challenge focused on one family in an alternate save. Its not a thing I do a ton but as I was focusing on a big save rebuild and missing playing vs. building, I started this new save on a lark. Its a simple challenge where I can't control the child Sim who happens to be an adopted alien. I can only get him to do things using things like 'Influence to' and parenting tools. And its been a challenge to parent without switching to that sim (he's a teen now, did cheat a couple times cause the game was being buggy but nothing that influenced character or built skills) but mostly looking forward to seeing the adult I get from this sim who I barely every play directly). And I fell in love with the family, who now have more kids. All the kids are named after planets (3 so far, Jupiter, Pluto - the OG I can't control, and Mars) and I can decide if I want to keep going with this until I have the whole solar system. I am also thinking little Jupiter might be a founder for a multi gen legacy challenge when she reaches young adult so I am looking for a legacy challenge that suits her.
Joining discord communities of sims creators is always a good option ♥️ Those are usually smaller and less toxic than facebook groups but still allows you to connect with other simmers and share your builds and stories
Something I tend to do when I'm bored of have burn out, is I recreate a couple sims from a TV show or movie I like, and play around with them, see what kind of chaos happens, like for example, maybe you'll have more interest in messing with packs, if you play with characters from series or movies that you create. Personally, I find it way more fun yo play the game that way, as you can explore the game randomly and not have families, but also cause some random chaos with your sims in the process
using existing stories is an awesome base!! i learned i really like building when i got bored of playing gameplay and got burnt out of creating cute sims, so i began making houses based off of games/shows etc (because admittedly, i dont like making original houses, not that brave yet). its so fun! legacy challenges also aren't my cup of tea but there's this barbie legacy challenge by sims himbo i played for like 2 seconds (before i learned legacy challenges kinda stress me out lol)
Yes!! Switching up building and gameplay is my fave way to keep that burnout at bay! I know not everyone likes building but if you do it makes it a lot easier to switch between the two and keep things engaging 👏🏻
Love your videos, I’ve been playing since sims 1 release 👵 I didn’t start using mods until 2 years ago, changed the game for me. I’ve been playing the same save file for over a year now… that has never happened to me before! Your list of mods you use on your channel is sooo helpful 🙏 thank you so much
I did once, and want to do again, a rotational game where I made two families, each with an infant. The fathers were college friends. I made the two infants had very different upbringings. One came from a loving family while the other was all but ignored by his parents. I wanted to see how they could grow up together and eventually get married and start a family. It was interesting. I'm also a fan of elimination challenges. Put 8 sims in the house (or more if you have a mod) set a criteria and at the end of each sim week someone is kicked out. The last one I did piggy packed off the Whims Legacy Challenge. Instead of doing it generationally. I took 8 sims, and tried to fulfill as many whims as I could for each of them. Whoever had the fewest fulfilled whims at the end of the week was kicked out of the house. I've also done survivor and bachelorette challenges. Deligracy had a great Clue one I want to try.
I have been playing the same save file since 2014. I get bored from time to time, but eventually, I return. I am playing rotationally with the 4th generation of Sims Sometimes I take inspiration for storylines from reality shows😅
Your pack legacy challenge really brought the fun back for me. I‘m currently starting Gen 5 and I can’t wait for the kids to age up enough to actually get into it. Great motivation to try and survive the infant and toddler years 😅
I totally do tip 6. It helps so much because you already have a pre-existing backstory, or you can tweak some details and turn the narrative as you wish it would've been, so it helps to have "regular" families and families coming from "general media"
Another tip is to play with scenarios (yes, scenarios) although many of them are not difficult to complete, they are a good starting point. (there is even a mod that makes all the scenarios already made available)
The sims tree is something I've never heard of before and I've been playing the sims ever 2010. I'm really looking forward to a way to keep track of all my family trees now, especially friends and precious lovers without having to have a baby with every single one!
I've been playing more with a customized calendar and it's really helped! There's mods for more icons and holidays out there and I suggest looking into those. I usually burn out around gen 2 or 3 in a legacy challenge before getting bored. I'm always on the lookout for a legacy challenge that's got different gameplay than most. (I'm also doing the Pack Legacy Challenge and am actually having a blast). Another thing that's helped a lot, if you're a builder, building a house (or playing in one that you've built and haven't played in yet) and moving to a new world with your new generation when doing legacy challenges helps too. :) Now I want to play so I'm off to fire up my game lol
Love all these tips! And absolutely second the building tip!! Whenever i feel stuck with my gameplay moving my sims around helps a lot in finding new inspiration 💜
I have found a new love for in game renovation. I do a Rags to Riches but instead of starting on an empty lot, I DL an abandoned lot, factory, old empty house, whatever, with tons of junk in it. So my sim is basically a squatter. And in order to renovate they have to reach a certain amount of simoleons. Say, if they want to patch up the holes in the roof (from Life & Death Pack) they have to earn 1000 simoleons. Then I can go patch the roof. Because roof stuff is free in game I use the money cheat to deduct the funds. I do 500 simoleons to clear out the junk per room, etc. Then slowly watch as they not just build a new home, but renovate a dumpy one. I like the limitation of a pre-built structure, and try to keep reno realistic, no totally restructuring the house but can do additions or knock down walls, etc gradually. I tend to get bored playing in one home the whole time so this adds some interest for me.
@@skycastleshay It is a lot of fun. There are some amazing abandoned warehouse builds in the gallery that are full of clutter, abandoned cars, piles of junk and whatnot. I made it an all lot challenge too, so the place was horrible in the beginning, but it was so fun to slowly watch it evolve into a livable home.
Thank you, what a great video! I played seven generations of a family and then my game decided to crash because of cc and now I’ve just been randomly opening new plays left and right and getting bored…this is helpful! 🙏 Side note: your hair is gorgeous!
love your hair! i was just watching the music video for ignorance by paramore yesterday and was thinking how much i love that hair color on hayley williams
tip nr 2 is what I'm doing in my current new save. I'm playing a rags to riches (which I love but do wayyyy too little) focusing on making money through music, and also with a werewolf with a bad reputation and violent tendencies. I usually play with morally correct artsy sims, for reference, usually with only spellcasters, sometimes vampires or regular sims. Maybe this works as inspo for anyone
That is absolutely true 😂 I always get so committed to a legacy and then I realize they take long. But with the tips combined I find myself enjoying them longer!
Some good tips, I like playing in legacy and rotation, each generation has a bunch of kids so there is always left over uncles or Aunts to play as, most tend to have children too and so we have lots of cousins. Admittedly my third generation vampire family seem to be dating my 7th generation spell caster family (all of their own doing) technically they are dating their great x 5 nieces/nephews. Another thing about rotation is to be careful of what settings are selected on the family management screen. It may sound cute but I'd suggest not letting them adopt pets because they do go mad and seem to want to completely fill all the household spaces. I had left one family a mere two days to play as a 'cousin' and when returning they had 3 dogs and 1 cat, one of the dogs was even called 'dog'
Hi! I’m guessing you’re referring to my thumbnail (: I use canva! I don’t think it’ll do a tutorial video (yet) because I don’t feel like I could fill a whole video with that. But all things applied are just “basic” thumbnail tricks like text, shades and things. There is lots of design tutorials like that in youtube so maybe some of those help ♥️
i never get bored honestly, though i started playing it a month and a half ago. also i don't understand why the ea app stopped counting my hours for like 2 weeks and now it seems like ive been playing less than i actually have 😭
Ooh I’m going to look into family echo! I’m currently working on a video to showcase different family tree apps and it’s always nice to have more on the list! 😊
Oh, I really like these tips! Especially rotational gameplay, never tried that before! Things that help me with sims motivation recently: 1) Make your sim achieve all aspirations. It finally takes me several days of playing sims. Track and monitor all your goals, try to complete several aspirations at once, and don't forget to switch between them! (I tried to find a mod that allows to have several aspiration at once but I couldn't find it. manual switching so be it). It makes you experience a lot of Sims sides and try everything. 2) Write down the sim's events and story while you play. What happened, your sim's motivation why it happened and what does they feel about it. I also make screenshots. So at the end you have a little story with characters and plot twists. I wish I did this sooner, I had so many good stories at the end but now I don't remember them and have only some screenshots for memories. Also writing these stories may inspire you to create characters for your other projects. So I find it useful.
Something small I’ve done in my gameplay is letting my sims be mean to each other if they choose to be mean, I used to cancel any random mean interactions because I like keeping my sims happy but the chaos that comes with sims randomly being mean is pretty funny sometimes 😂
I'm so glad I watched this video. I wasn't sure how to label sims as occults since they updated it I was just wondering why the list was empty and when will they update it 😂
Tbh the Sims burnout also comes from the updates that break all my mods. Mainly bc I know I'm going to spend a long time just getting the game to function decently. this alone is very tiring. i didn't touch the Sims for almost half a year, and roughly 2 weeks ago I came back, but since then all I've been doing is fixing the game. it was only today and the last couple days my game's mods are all pretty much updated. I created a sim yesterday, furnished her house today and played for..maybe an hour before I got bored and logged off. I wish I could snap my fingers and this burnout would disappear.
Yeah keeping mods updated is definitely a struggle, I have a pretty modded game and every update is a struggle again. I have found that if done consistently it doesn’t take more than 1h to update everything but that is ofc still quite some time
I am not 100% sure (as I’m on the pro version and it’s hard to know if what is and is not included) but they should have a full list on their website of what is included in the pro version 😊
Hiiii, I have a question on what gaming pc you would recommend? I used to play the sims 4 on my 2013 macbook air and had to delete it due to computer lagging 😭 i'm planning on saving for a new setup and need PC recommendations haha
Hi! I find this a very hard question to answer as I have a custom build and not a prebuilt pc and mine is waaaay overpowered to play the sims as I also edit and stream from it. I would recommend checking out the specs on the website of the sims and making sure you have that at least. A lot of retailers of prebuilt PC’s also state what games you can play on specific pc builds and since the sims is a big game it’s usually included ☺️
I am trying the Sims Tree. I'm very new to poses, haven't had a lot of success with them yet, but I think that for this program maybe I need to use screenshots instead. What do you use to get their profile picture on the Family Tree screen?
I have a generation game that was originally the Not So Berry challenge. I think I am on generation 14 now? Ive been using it to do things I dont normally do. We had the new packs every generation, that was the goal; to explore the new pack. I am currently doing the tiny town challenge, but I am getting bored and I started a Rags to Riches. I will agree with getting some mods because sometimes they can randomly make your game change and create drama!
Unfortunately KawaiiStacie takes mods down when they are not up to date which means if you don’t see it right now you have to wait till it’s updated (which can take a while)
No the answer is: play whichever game you enjoy most in whichever style you enjoy most :) If that is the sims 2 or 3 for you than that is completely fair but others want to enjoy the sims 4 and that is also fine 😊
Love your videos, I’ve been playing since sims 1 release 👵 I didn’t start using mods until 2 years ago, changed the game for me. I usually play with morally correct artsy sims, for reference, usually with only spellcasters, sometimes vampires or regular sims. Maybe this works as inspo for anyone
Legacy challenges are great and they always take longer than you expect them to. Gotta have a good computer to run all the mods and CC 😅

i just started playing sims4, trying to download cc and mods and i’m really trying to enjoy the game without getting bored but it’s so hard 😭😭
I'm so glad I watched this video. I wasn't sure how to label sims as occults since they updated it I was just wondering why the list was empty and when will they update it 😂
You can add occults yourself! This allows for you to even play with mods that add fairies and things and you can still use them in your family tree 🩷
I love this thank you for sharing!

Amazing content, as usual 💚🧡💚🧡
I have found that if done consistently it doesn’t take more than 1h to update everything but that is ofc still quite some time
Is the Avatars (thing to have the different life stage pictures) a pro feature?
I am not 100% sure (as I’m on the pro version and it’s hard to know if what is and is not included) but they should have a full list on their website of what is included in the pro version 😊
@@Rosannatxt Alright, thank you!
@@Rosannatxt Ohh okay, thank you so much for your response, i'll check it out now :)
Thanks for sharing
I am trying the Sims Tree. I'm very new to poses, haven't had a lot of success with them yet, but I think that for this program maybe I need to use screenshots instead. What do you use to get their profile picture on the Family Tree screen?
I take screenshots of my sims game and then upload those as pictures onto TheSimsTree 😊
Thank you 🩷
i don't get how to use the sims tree. how do i add marriages and stuff help
Hi! This is not my own video but a good video on how to use TheSimsTree: ua-cam.com/video/_ceJ3Rc3Ggw/v-deo.htmlsi=PrvKsKowpY24y5SA
please make a video about good mods and ccs too!
Please check my channel, I have more than enough videos on those topics already (:
Sul Sul Simmers
*immediately thumbs up*
I was gonna get the switch mod but it's not there :/
Unfortunately KawaiiStacie takes mods down when they are not up to date which means if you don’t see it right now you have to wait till it’s updated (which can take a while)
How can I get a washing machine in sims4

Can you please talk more slowy, pfff i hear this as a rap song😂😂😂
Maybe you just need to listen faster 🤷🏼♀️
The answer is… Play Sims 2 or 3!
I’ve been playing the same save file for over a year now… that has never happened to me before! Your list of mods you use on your channel is sooo helpful 🙏 thank you so much
