    Hi, a little late but i stumbled across one I never new just the other day. There are two shoe racks in the base game: Ladies and men's. When you click on them you have three options: allow shoes indoors, wear slippers indoors or remove shoes indoors. If you choose 'wear slippers indoors' your sims will automatically change to slippers when the enter the house. I never knew that!

      Yeah this feature comes with the snowy escape pack! It’s an important part of japanese culture so that’s why they integrated the feature 😍 I love it a lot!! I didn’t know there was a difference between the ladies and men’s shoe rack though 😱 Love the little details!!

    I didn’t know you could customise what you randomise in CAS. Wow! And the heated pool, that is so good. Thank you for all the tips and tricks.

    Heated pools are a revelation! My Sims keep doing their homework while sitting with their legs in the pool so this will stop them from freezing.

    • @Rosannatxt
      @Rosannatxt  Рік тому +7

      This made me giggle, it’s such a sims problem to have to heat your pools because sims are so silly and do their homework at the side of the pool in freezing winter 🤣🤣 I’m glad this was helpful though!! Together we find ways to make the game work 🤭

    Windenburg is my FAVORITE WORLD EVER, and I’m always sad when I get a custom save to play in that’s amazing, but they removed the Villareal family 😂 I’ll add them back, no joke, because they’re the spiciest family and the best to play for me. Yet, despite Get Together clearly being one of my top 5 for game packs/stuff packs/dlc/whatever-the-hell-you-want-to-call-them, I didn’t know the pool grate thing. I knew that they gave the bubble effect, but since I almost always use Geothermal (and Natural Well) if I have pools, I never noticed when the water was warm because I chose the grates. I also didn’t know this about the Jungle Adventure water despite me using it in the pool at that one ‘secret’ lot in Windenburg XD
    Two tips I’d like to add: If you have Snowy Escape, you can add the fireplace that comes with it (Toasty Host Fireplace for §1,050) to outdoor lots like the Grimtooth Bar & Bunker in Moonwood Mill to stop all of the vampires, werewolves and mermaids that show up from freezing to death. A bonus: it doesn’t look too out of place with some of the swatches. I’ll always add a few of them to the lot in a new save file just for that reason. Just don’t forget to send a handy sim over to upgrade it so it’s fireproof (I think it’s just called ‘fireproof’ - it’s the option that isn’t ‘auto light’, as this will stop things nearby from setting on fire).
    A second one in relation to sims freezing - if you have Dine Out, under Activities and Skills > Outdoor Activities, you will find the Mythic Patio Warming Lamp (§395). It’s another way to keep sims warm if they like going outside. I use it on restaurant lots that have outdoor seating, in my backyards, in parks even near the chess tables. Again, send a handy sim to do some upgrades on it so it’s fireproof. This one I’ll enable ‘auto light’ or the automatic behavior (forget the name) so my sims stay toasty in the cold.
    A third one, but this time for gardening: the sprinkler that came with Seasons (Sprinkle-O-Matic, §350) can not only water plants in a 6x6 grid (this includes plants inside of planter boxes - not vertical planters, as those have their own watering upgrades), but if you’re annoyed with dirty chickens because you got a bit lazy with the chicken coop cleaning? Pop a sprinkler nearby. It’ll clean the chickens faster than waiting for them to do it automatically. You can upgrade it so it doesn’t cause puddles and automatically turns on, so you can ensure it turns on once a day to water your plants for you OR just clean your dirty chickens (thats what she said).

    I like the book Skill Up, yet also when I make a new sim I have them watch the cooking channel. players forget use the lot trait to boost the skill leveling. having the family start a club to level all skills through the club perk buffs.

      @Rosannatxt  Рік тому

      Oooh the club one is definitely a good one! I don’t use that enough either! 😅

    ok so i counted the tips and i knew 34/35 ☺️ the one i did not know about was the filter in CAS for randomizing a specific thing on your sim like hair and it’s actually so cool! Thanks for marking this Video ❤

I’m saving this video, I appreciate you taking the time to make this. 🙏🏻 I started playing Sims hot date years ago when it was easier, but got so overwhelmed as it got more stuff. I’m excited to try these tips. ❤

    So funny story about tip 2
    I was playing with the CheatsUI mod and I clicked the Hunger Icon to get my sim to eat something.
    Only I misclicked and instead of hitting the icon, I hit the hunger bar.
    This made my sim immediately die of starvation.
    It was hilarious and tragic at the same time

    • @Rosannatxt
      @Rosannatxt  7 місяців тому

      I have done this too and it was SO painful! It actualy happened to so many people that UI now gives a pop up with you lower your hunger needs that much to prevent accidental deaths

  • @starwie
    @starwie 3 місяці тому +2

    The best way to get a skill up is MICRO HOMES from tiny living. You yourself dont even need to have a micro home but if you have a friend or family that has one then you should go visit to get the skill up (even better if you make a club at their house and get some club bonuses you will be lvl 10 in 2 sims days)
    Best way to get fun up, make the sim like the skill they often use. You can add likes in CAS
    For the gardening you forgot the scarecrow from seasons. If you befriend him he will litterly come to life! and water / weed your crops

    I like these kind of videos from you and other simtubers. Well done! But I keep wondering why nobody ever mentions the shift + tab key combination... is it to basic? To boring? Or do people not know? Personally I love this one.

    • @Rosannatxt
      @Rosannatxt  5 місяців тому +1

      You mean the first person camera when clicking shift tab? (: If that is the case, I have a full video on camera controls and it’s not directly related to in game interactions so I didn’t feel the need to include it in this video but it’s definitely a great sims tip and I love using the feature when my sims are jogging to explore the world through a different POV

      Its part of the fitness stuff pack - there is no way to turn it on or off. There is even a little joke in the loading screen text at this point saying "no I don't want free earbuds" because so many simmers kept asking/complaining about it hahaha 🤭
