I dont think you are right when you talk about hit prioritisation. There isn’t any in this game as far as I am aware, but finn does have incredibly big hitboxes for no reason which is why he will normally hit you first before you hit him, whoever hits first wins pretty much
@@JJ-jq8re nah doubt he will be S tier without the broken hitboxes. his main issue is you can't contest with his hits his moves really aren't that crazy if they fix him properly he'll probably be A. TJ, Bugs, and Shaggy
if you listened to the explanation you would hear what I meant. A, B, and C tier are all playable, that's what I meant when I said they're all good. any character in any of those tiers can be used effectively. however, the characters in A tier are well above the characters in B tier balance wise
There is something perfect about one of your favourite characters being added to the game and being actually good AND suiting your play style perfectly which puts a smile on my face. I hope future characters can encapsulate that in their fans too
I agree with pretty much all of this other then Tom and shaggy. I think that Tom should easy be S tier mainly because even though not many people have optimised him we have seen one (void) and he alone has beat the two best bugs in the world and won the coin box with Tom. I also think that shaggy should be way lower, as a jake main I have a good matchup against shaggy so this may be bias but I just feel like even though shaggy is very strong and very easy he’s also very easy to zone and counter and as long as your good at dodging you can Dominate him in a match.
Excactly just cuz shaggy has a "easy" playstyle does not mean that he is busted out of his mind he is a tutorial charakter wich means he should be easy to learn and hard to master wich i think they did relativly well
@@guccibanana9575 Shaggy is pretty strong in 1v1 but he’s balanced in 2v2 since the meta right now is all projectile spamming and Shaggy doesn’t do all that well vs full screen projectiles. I think Shaggy could use a weight nerf considering he’s very tanky and also does a lot of dmg at the same time. Overall probably more like high A tier for 1v1 and low A tier for 2v2. Slightly above average character but not super broken. Putting him in the same tier with Finn and Bugs just feels wrong, especially after seeing how EVO went down.
I really think that superman is a A tier because you can do so many move with his dodge, and combine with the super amor he can just move and attack and you can approach him without being hit
with first hand experience of using batman, the cool down on his batarang is ridiculously slow in comparison to shaggy, tom, bugs, etc and even if you are able to throw it, in 1v1s most higher ranked players will be able to dodge the batarang regardless. I will agree that his batarang is one of, if not, the best projectiles in the game, but if missed you'll have to rely on batman's combos, and close range game which most of the time wont suffice as( I'm not sure of this, just talking from experience) batman has a pretty low hit priority. Not to say that batman isn't good at close range at all, I love being aggressive with his insane amount of combos more then using his batarang, but there will be multiple times I want to start a combo but, in turn get sent flying, due to his low hit priority. Just wanted to get my thoughts out there, this was one of the best ranking vids out there, thanks for the content!
Not to mention that in high skill levels his batarang is much harder to hit since it’s predictable. In my experience, at least when 1v1ing equal rank or lower ranks, I find myself using the batarang as more of a combo extension than a projectile to use from long distances. I do also agree that the cooldown is pretty slow compared to everyone else. Although the batarang is very good, if u miss it becomes a great opening for someone to punish.

Been playing Batman for a while n notice his hit priority is low, he definitely isn’t bad nor boring, but if his attacks challenges he’ll just get destroyed. P.s the down X slide seems to have a decent priority
My main is tom n jerry and they only took me like 30 min in lab to fully get used to him. I am level 17 with him. He is actually pretty easy to combo with him . Not enough people use him
Big facts man. The only games I played when the timer ran out was against batman mains. They just run all game while throwing batarangs and it makes no sense. They have the best combo game but they don't use it.
As a Reindog main (so far), I think they’re very mobile especially with their side special and being able to dodge a lot, I’m able to mix in projectiles with combos and my opponents almost at 80% already 10 seconds into the match
@@jonahblack6675 even in top 5k velma doesnt beat anyone in a tier and can very easily get stomped by characters in b tier and the combo fauter iron giant thing is simplifying the matchup too much he has counter play to it he just needs to use his bolts effectively and he can beat basically all the characters in c tier and go toe to toe with characters in b tier
As a bugs main he has 6 cooldowns with the heart perk and you guys are right he is the best character in the game but he’s not someone a casual can play with though like Finn and Shaggy
Great video, though I will say, I feel like Iron Giant is a high C tier for me. It’s probably because i’m not experienced with fighting Iron Giants. His down special is basically a free recovery if you’re not experienced against it. I’m getting better everyday though, so that will change Edit: Just now I realised this is for much skilled players. My opinion here doesn’t really matter here
@@randeeee he can actually dodge cancel out of it before he lands on the ground. Don't think he can cancel it once he's on the ground. It's still pretty easy to punish the move overall but it's a good thing to keep in mind that ig has that option
Iron really just needs to actually hit like a heavy character and he would be really good. Most of his attacks hit for average damage when he should be hitting people like a train
@@slushMV S tier is a big reach, it would make him an actual character instead of the meme he is right now. He would still be slow and easy to combo, but with a damage buff he would have something to show for it. In his current state he’s a heavy hitter without the hitting part.

@@thegipper1215 finn is good dont get me wrong but bugs has so much more thing that you can master he can do so many different varieties of combos mixing them with his rocket or safe and utilize his pie correctly the reason i said bugs has the highest skill ceiling(you can argue tom and jerry and you wouldnt be wrong) is because both bugs and tom and jerry has so many things to master they are more versatile while finn is relatively a basic character it dosent take much to master finn so the ceiling between a good player and bad player isnt that much with finn.theres a reason theres not that many finns in the top rankings but theres a lot of bugs tom and jerry velma etc its because they are more versatile

While I agree that Bugs has the potential to be the most powerful character in the game it definitely takes skill to play him. For this reason he isn't anywhere as fundamentally broken as Finn or Shaggy due to how the potency of their kit is so much more accessible.
Best tier list I've seen so far. Finally someone who realizes how overpowered Shaggy is. He's not just noob friendly. He's really, really strong. Besides, I absolutely hate Shaggy's sidekick. It's so strong and spammable. I also agree with the statement that A, B and C tiers are all good. Only the D tier is a "don't pick if you wan't to win" one, but I'd swap Reindog with Taz. Taz is decent imo, atleast for low level 1v1s and Reindog just doesn't get much value from his abilities in 1v1 games. Also Tom and Jerry could possibly be S tier, but they're so incredibly difficult to play it's hard to tell.
I'm a reindog main and I don't spam his projectiles. One of my favorite things Is catching the other player off guard by bouncing his projectiles off a surface while the other player is in mid air, they don't see it coming. Especially if your more up close and personal through most of the game.
Best tier list so far, i cant handle the people saying "Taz Is good you need to be better", like Taz lost priority vs 99% of attacks in the game right now, and has the worst range in the game. TY Bro for this gem
Finally someone that acknowledges that Garnet isn’t that bad at all. People usually place her low but a good Garnet can be extremely oppressive due to her sheer power. Her knock backs are absolutely insane and while she doesn’t haven’t crazy long combos like other characters, the short combos she does have are more suited for burst damage (especially if she’s boosted by her electric costs), only thing that you stated that is wrong is that she’s light. She’s actually the 3rd heaviest character in the game. Needs to be a bit heavy since she’s such a big character that can easily be combo’d.
Personally, I don’t really see the potential in Garnet. Garnet is a decent character, but compared to the rest of the the cast I find her pretty lacking in power. She gets walled out pretty easily, has trouble killing against fast characters, weak combo game, gets comboed easy because of her weight and size, and her normals leave more to be desired. I don’t think she can be oppressive and I think she’s weaker than stated in the video. In my opinion she needs help strength wise.
ooh my mistake on the weight, I thought she was in the middle of the group. I agree garnet has a lot of potential, she can be really hard to play against if people abuse her playstyke
@@adamj6864 as a top 500 garnet player, I respectfully disagree in certain aspects. I think people are so caught up in the fast pace and flashy combos of the game that they don’t know how to slow it down and let the game come to them. It’s practically essentially for a slower character like Garnet. While I do think she could use certain buffs, increasing her strength is not one of them. Trust me, that will make her a bit broken. Instead, she can use more priority on certain moves or faster start up. If there’s one thing she’s not lacking in, it’s the power department. Garnet is one of the hardest hitting characters in the game with insane knockback on her moves. That is why her combo game is on the weaker side. It is not her job to combo people from 0-100, it is instead to confirm kills due to the strength of the knockbacks. That is how she is oppressive. Fast characters can combo her well but in the same token Garnet can easily kill them around 60-70% depending on their location on the stage since those characters are on the lighter side. Once people start understanding the playstyle and kit more (instead of just spamming her side normal), how good she can be will start to show.
I can agree bugs is one of the best but his light attacks have low priority but there are some broken things about bugs but I will say I believe Finn is more broken than bugs because one he’s easy to play back has the most priority in the game but also if your a skilled bugs you have to time your set ups while with Finn it’s incredibly easy to start his set up but I play Arya and bugs mainly but bugs is broken but I believe Finn is more broken just because Finn is an assassin he should be a light character but he has options to buff his defense have a counter move and to buff speed if you use finns whole kit I believe he’s more broken than bugs
Nah, just look at the top leaderboards. There’s barley any Finn’s. And that’s for a reason lol. Shaggy has better hit priority that Finn and bugs is just too fast and does to much damage
12:12 Yeah there's not a prio system in this game like smash, it's just hitboxes, if you're inside people as jake and they're in their startup hitting nair will cancel their attack but there's no prio system
You can tell this guy just has skill issue, he said finn has the biggest hit Priority when in reality he just gets outframed and outranged (aka outskilled) Finn and Shaggy are A+ superman and Tom and Jerry should be S, he is only top 1000 id only take seriously a top 100 player
I dont know why but my arya seems to have a higher hit priority. I dont disagree with the stats but aryas spinning dash cooldown seems to go through just about any attack as well as hitting her light attacks. Not to mention she seems to spike just about every hit as well.
Sorry to be rude or anything but iron giant and reindog are def higher if you ever fight a good reindog you’ll know same with iron giant it’s damage is fucking insane and the combo potential is crazy for him if anything iron giant is atleast A tier, same with reindog bro.
neither of them are close to A tier, especially not iron giant. I can see maybe moving reindog up 1 tier, but he’s not A, and iron giant is arguably the worst in the game at a decently high level. he’s dominant in lower rank games, but remember this list is for top 5k players, which is at a point where people know what they’re doing
On another note, I personally find that Shaggy would be more of a B, maybe A tier in the right hands character. I beat him with Wonder Woman so often at high levels because his side special is so abusable and overall he has a really small horizontal range without that move. Someone like Tom And Jerry, if I queue with my high level Wonder Woman, I'm pretty much toast, at that point they know their kit well enough as to where I can't approach from any angle, with any ability. I get zoned with projectiles so I shield, they can close the gap and combo, if I dodge the projectiles, which is hard because there's a ton of them with all different arcs and hitboxes, I either get combod or fishing rod'd out of the air, which spikes ridiculously early. If I'm in midrange, which my character has literally 0 options but long ass cooldown lasso for which is easy to dodge, he can still hit me, and if I'm above him, god help me, I may have to turn religious because there is no way on earth I can challenge him there in slightest, so me edgeguarding is actually more beneficial to him than myself. Yes, getting in his face makes some of his moves not very usable but that literally doesn't matter since he can combo you with insanely good moves, good hitboxes and overall speed.
As a Superman main finally someone with a brain says he's not broken he can be annoying i understand bc i can bully pple at times but only for so long there're so many more characters with more options than me the only nerf i can agree for Sm is his Up grab, other than that he needs a buff if not a rework
Does this game not actually have any hit Prio at all? I was under the assumption it's just plain, their hitbox reach your hurtbox first, you lose, unlike in smash where there is a list setup with prios. (Well, it's actually a number that is assigned for every move) and gets compared when 2 moves hit, thus you can sort of parry a jab with a jab and nobody takes damage. This does not happen in Multiversus, thus I'm confused where you got that info from.
the prio system isn’t like smash, where attacks get a number value, but the hitboxes and speed on attacks create prio. for example, if i’m using jake’s horse and running at a superman, and he flies into me, he’ll grab me while my move doesn’t connect
Imo I felt the same with iron giant because he's just butt bomb character but not that bad in 1v1 I'd say he's probably b tier to me because he has the issues of any big body grapple character. playing grapple characters . You have to play with baits and trade taking dmg with landing a CG or a good start combo with armor which he has both. However he definitely gets stomped by a good zoner. Which again most big body characters do. Tom and jerry, bugs, jake , would be a good counter to him

I always says Bugs isn’t HARD to play, he’s a TECHNICAL character. People are so used to Smash where you can just throw out moves at will, Multiversus is a game with far more Dragon Quest Hero-type on the fly management. This means that characters that don’t need to worry about it much/at all like Shaggy and Jake are solid, and characters that can utilize it well like Finn & Bugs are wild.
Im a buggs main, but i agree with you he is an op character. The thing is he isnt super easy to play only because he needs to land his attacks and ive played against a lot of buggs players high and low level and the only win do to dumb luck
Not gonna lie iron giant got slept on. Easily the best character at edging someone and never feels in danger until taking 100 damage down sides obviously being easy target and easy to run from.
Superman is at least a bit higher because his super armor hard carries him against certain characters who dont have moves that beat his super armor, this is true for me as a harley main
While there is a concept of tier in this game currently, I think that it’s all about how they are used. I have constantly been told that Garnet is trash or useless; however, I consistently thrash people with her based on my reads, positioning and match up knowledge. I think the issue overall currently is that people are exploiting and abusing the aspects of characters who have weird priority and glitches… but it’s all good, we learn, adapt and overcome as I have. Side note: They should change the name to “Trickster” instead of “Mage”. A Mage is considered to have little to no melee combat prowess…. You see where I’m going with this?
I don’t agree with aria since she just gets like killed at 80 -90 percent sometimes and it just really holds her back so I’d say c like very usable and when mastered really good but has some issues that hold her back
Jake’s S imo. 3rd best after Bugs Bunny and Tom&Jerry. As a Shaggy main, I would switch Shaggy and Tom&Jerry, but that’s just me. I also would switch Jake and Finn too

I just watched that tournament final and it was crazy how good them fights were. He is definitely something else with Tom and Jerry!

Any up air can challege his down special. Also that move has a awful amount of end lag so it is very easy to punish.

i think bugs is a easy character to play but has the highest skill ceilling in the game its either you play a very trash bugs or a very good bugs no in between
Finn’s Gem makes him have the highest ceiling. The amount of insanity people can do with it to abuse neutral and basically erase that stage of a game

Good list, I feel like people exaggerate how good fin is. He's my main but whenever I play against a fin with a different character I always win.
While I agree that Bugs has the potential to be the most powerful character in the game it definitely takes skill to play him. For this reason he isn't anywhere as fundamentally broken as Finn or Shaggy due to how the potency of their kit is so much more accessible.
Best tier list I've seen so far. Finally someone who realizes how overpowered Shaggy is. He's not just noob friendly. He's really, really strong. Besides, I absolutely hate Shaggy's sidekick. It's so strong and spammable.
I also agree with the statement that A, B and C tiers are all good. Only the D tier is a "don't pick if you wan't to win" one, but I'd swap Reindog with Taz. Taz is decent imo, atleast for low level 1v1s and Reindog just doesn't get much value from his abilities in 1v1 games.
Also Tom and Jerry could possibly be S tier, but they're so incredibly difficult to play it's hard to tell.

I'm a reindog main and I don't spam his projectiles. One of my favorite things Is catching the other player off guard by bouncing his projectiles off a surface while the other player is in mid air, they don't see it coming. Especially if your more up close and personal through most of the game.

Finally someone that acknowledges that Garnet isn’t that bad at all. People usually place her low but a good Garnet can be extremely oppressive due to her sheer power. Her knock backs are absolutely insane and while she doesn’t haven’t crazy long combos like other characters, the short combos she does have are more suited for burst damage (especially if she’s boosted by her electric costs), only thing that you stated that is wrong is that she’s light. She’s actually the 3rd heaviest character in the game. Needs to be a bit heavy since she’s such a big character that can easily be combo’d.
I think must people place her low, because most garnet players suck ass cuz she's in free rotation right now
Personally, I don’t really see the potential in Garnet. Garnet is a decent character, but compared to the rest of the the cast I find her pretty lacking in power. She gets walled out pretty easily, has trouble killing against fast characters, weak combo game, gets comboed easy because of her weight and size, and her normals leave more to be desired. I don’t think she can be oppressive and I think she’s weaker than stated in the video. In my opinion she needs help strength wise.

@@adamj6864 as a top 500 garnet player, I respectfully disagree in certain aspects. I think people are so caught up in the fast pace and flashy combos of the game that they don’t know how to slow it down and let the game come to them. It’s practically essentially for a slower character like Garnet. While I do think she could use certain buffs, increasing her strength is not one of them. Trust me, that will make her a bit broken. Instead, she can use more priority on certain moves or faster start up. If there’s one thing she’s not lacking in, it’s the power department. Garnet is one of the hardest hitting characters in the game with insane knockback on her moves. That is why her combo game is on the weaker side. It is not her job to combo people from 0-100, it is instead to confirm kills due to the strength of the knockbacks. That is how she is oppressive. Fast characters can combo her well but in the same token Garnet can easily kill them around 60-70% depending on their location on the stage since those characters are on the lighter side. Once people start understanding the playstyle and kit more (instead of just spamming her side normal), how good she can be will start to show.
garnet is like wonder women to me not overpowered but not garbage very solid and in the right hands she can be very good

I can agree bugs is one of the best but his light attacks have low priority but there are some broken things about bugs but I will say I believe Finn is more broken than bugs because one he’s easy to play back has the most priority in the game but also if your a skilled bugs you have to time your set ups while with Finn it’s incredibly easy to start his set up but I play Arya and bugs mainly but bugs is broken but I believe Finn is more broken just because Finn is an assassin he should be a light character but he has options to buff his defense have a counter move and to buff speed if you use finns whole kit I believe he’s more broken than bugs
Nah, just look at the top leaderboards. There’s barley any Finn’s. And that’s for a reason lol. Shaggy has better hit priority that Finn and bugs is just too fast and does to much damage

12:12 Yeah there's not a prio system in this game like smash, it's just hitboxes, if you're inside people as jake and they're in their startup hitting nair will cancel their attack but there's no prio system
You can tell this guy just has skill issue, he said finn has the biggest hit Priority when in reality he just gets outframed and outranged (aka outskilled)
Finn and Shaggy are A+ superman and Tom and Jerry should be S, he is only top 1000 id only take seriously a top 100 player

there are certain matchups that hard counter characters for sure, I like that aspect of the game though personally

I dont know why but my arya seems to have a higher hit priority. I dont disagree with the stats but aryas spinning dash cooldown seems to go through just about any attack as well as hitting her light attacks. Not to mention she seems to spike just about every hit as well.
Because there's no hit priority in this game, it's range.

neither of them are close to A tier, especially not iron giant. I can see maybe moving reindog up 1 tier, but he’s not A, and iron giant is arguably the worst in the game at a decently high level. he’s dominant in lower rank games, but remember this list is for top 5k players, which is at a point where people know what they’re doing

On another note, I personally find that Shaggy would be more of a B, maybe A tier in the right hands character. I beat him with Wonder Woman so often at high levels because his side special is so abusable and overall he has a really small horizontal range without that move. Someone like Tom And Jerry, if I queue with my high level Wonder Woman, I'm pretty much toast, at that point they know their kit well enough as to where I can't approach from any angle, with any ability.
I get zoned with projectiles so I shield, they can close the gap and combo, if I dodge the projectiles, which is hard because there's a ton of them with all different arcs and hitboxes,
I either get combod or fishing rod'd out of the air,
which spikes ridiculously early. If I'm in midrange,
which my character has literally 0 options but long ass cooldown lasso for which is easy to dodge,
he can still hit me, and if I'm above him, god help me, I may have to turn religious because there is no way on earth I can challenge him there in slightest, so me edgeguarding is actually more beneficial to him than myself.
Yes, getting in his face makes some of his moves not very usable but that literally doesn't matter since he can combo you with insanely good moves, good hitboxes and overall speed.

Does this game not actually have any hit Prio at all? I was under the assumption it's just plain, their hitbox reach your hurtbox first, you lose, unlike in smash where there is a list setup with prios. (Well, it's actually a number that is assigned for every move) and gets compared when 2 moves hit, thus you can sort of parry a jab with a jab and nobody takes damage.
This does not happen in Multiversus, thus I'm confused where you got that info from.
the prio system isn’t like smash, where attacks get a number value, but the hitboxes and speed on attacks create prio. for example, if i’m using jake’s horse and running at a superman, and he flies into me, he’ll grab me while my move doesn’t connect
Have you played Batman? The batarang has a cool down unless you catch it then it’s almost nothing and the debuff is a card I’m pretty sure

playing grapple characters . You have to play with baits and trade taking dmg with landing a CG or a good start combo with armor which he has both.
However he definitely gets stomped by a good zoner. Which again most big body characters do. Tom and jerry, bugs, jake , would be a good counter to him

I always says Bugs isn’t HARD to play, he’s a TECHNICAL character. People are so used to Smash where you can just throw out moves at will, Multiversus is a game with far more Dragon Quest Hero-type on the fly management. This means that characters that don’t need to worry about it much/at all like Shaggy and Jake are solid, and characters that can utilize it well like Finn & Bugs are wild.
Im a buggs main, but i agree with you he is an op character. The thing is he isnt super easy to play only because he needs to land his attacks and ive played against a lot of buggs players high and low level and the only win do to dumb luck

The 10% speed increase has been nerfed, now for the first purchase it does 10% but everyone after that is only 3%

Not gonna lie iron giant got slept on. Easily the best character at edging someone and never feels in danger until taking 100 damage down sides obviously being easy target and easy to run from.
Superman is at least a bit higher because his super armor hard carries him against certain characters who dont have moves that beat his super armor, this is true for me as a harley main

While there is a concept of tier in this game currently, I think that it’s all about how they are used. I have constantly been told that Garnet is trash or useless; however, I consistently thrash people with her based on my reads, positioning and match up knowledge. I think the issue overall currently is that people are exploiting and abusing the aspects of characters who have weird priority and glitches… but it’s all good, we learn, adapt and overcome as I have.
Side note:
They should change the name to “Trickster” instead of “Mage”. A Mage is considered to have little to no melee combat prowess…. You see where I’m going with this?
I don’t agree with aria since she just gets like killed at 80 -90 percent sometimes and it just really holds her back so I’d say c like very usable and when mastered really good but has some issues that hold her back
Jake’s S imo. 3rd best after Bugs Bunny and Tom&Jerry. As a Shaggy main, I would switch Shaggy and Tom&Jerry, but that’s just me. I also would switch Jake and Finn too
