I got bit by the carbon bug haha. Still working on keeping it simple without overdoing it. Just working on keeping the flow even all around the car.
Good call on selling the coilovers. Trying to cut the lock collar off and potentially going to deep into the strut would suck

CF lip kit is nice. Until you meet the overly steep inclines and have to face anxiety and possible angry trolls in their raised trucks behind you bc you gotta angle it juuust right at a snail’s pace lol and still scrape it
I’ve had a lip on this car and many of my cars for many many years. I’m used to driving lowered cars. Anywhere I drive this car I am familiar with the inclines and entrances so I don’t see it being an issue.

That hood is so nice but I think the idea of painting it and leaving some parts carbon would look really cool. Little more subtle 🤔

Yes, I’ve ran the same style both poly and carbon. I don’t like the little Winglet style ones.

does the carbon lip cover the 2 holes that were drilled from the bayson r front lip on the inner wheel well?
They don’t as this lip does wrap around like the Bayson r. I just took a heat gun and melted the plastic to cover up the holes.
@@Scoobyfreak86 Oh wow. So heat gunning that will fill in the holes a bit? I need to try that when I get this lip
It won’t fill it completely, but it will hide them well. Plastic melts and you can form it when it gets warm.
Is it recommended to take off the CF lip kit in the winter? I live in Canada. What about the Polyurethane Bayson R kit? Thanks man - love the car.
Would be a wise choice. The bayson r is a bit more durable. I would probably run that if I lived in your environment.

No longer have this car, but the lip kit held up very well. Looked as good as it did in this video the day I sold it.

Just got an intake and AP , booked an appointment with theshopct so with mike botti.
But one thing i am wondering is that, would it be safe running a cobb sf intake with the MAPerformance stage 1+ map or should i go with the COBB stage 1+ map. Or either or is fine?
The map 1+ are meant for their intake. Not with another intake or parts.
If you want to run a map, run the Cobb Stage 1+ with the Cobb intake.

Nope, no issues in any of the lips I’ve ran. Still on there very well and haven’t budged.
Do you know what kind of hardware it was for the side skirts. My side skirts didnt come with hardware.

This cf lip kit on eBay says it’s $3.6k that’s absolutely insane
When it is out of stock, it goes up in price. It goes back down to normal pricing when it is available.
Did you put a double sided tape on the front lip?
No tape on the front lip. Never found the need to do so. Doesn’t hurt to add it if you want though.

Will this fit a 16 sti as well l know they are all similar in that year frame
15-17 had a different bumper so the lip is a tad different in terms of fitment.

They are good. They are fantastic and have treated me well. The seized collars can happen on any set of coils. Even $10k motons.
