Hey I just ordered the same diffuser. And I was wondering, did you just drill holes through the holes on the diffuser and then through the actual bumper. Also what kind of hardware did you use to mount it? Like was there a specific length or size nut and washer. And how long were the self taps?
Yes, pilot hole through the holes of the diffuser into the bumper diffuser fins. Just used 3/4” self taps for the middle and about 1” long screw for the outside and a locking nylon nut.
I want to get one of these soon but I won’t be ready until the next generation is out most likely. There’s not a ton of information out there on the new gen design or engine, so I’m hoping they don’t go to far from this style because I really like the look.
From the spy shots it looks pretty bland. I thought they’d go more radical like the VIZIV concept. Hate to say it but even Toyotas have better looking exterior.
If we have learned one thing from Subaru concepts is that they tame it down considerably. Make it as bland as possible for the mass market. Seeing the renders and spy shots as of late, I’m confident it’s going to be a super bland, appeal to mass market type of look. I’ll hold my overall opinion until I see them on the road and in person though.
@@Autofreakgarage same. I’m sure a lot of us will be disappointed if it ends up looking like those renders though. I was hoping it’d be a more modern look bc I was planning on getting the STi this time. Maybe in another 20 years the hatch will return. 🤞😂
Looks nice. I’m running the OLM CF diffuser w/ those carbon fiber spats. Thinking about getting the usdm spats as well to drop the rear ended a bit more. Thoughts on wing stabilizers? I’m maybe thinking about getting 2.
@@Autofreakgarage if you used aluminum they are corrosion resistant and easy to drill through for future removal. just a thought as I know you are every attention to detail oriented. love the build man
Any chance you want to sell the old one? I only ask because I have the JDM STi lip kit front side and spats and the original one you had on looks like it will match up perfectly. That piece of metal they sell for the back is God ugly. Lmk will pay shipping costs ✌
@scoobyfreak86 the link for the lip and side skirts you have above ..... shows they're $5,600 dollars! im guessing thats wrong !? lol if not send me an application to where you work hahah
When the vendor is out of stock, they jack the price up. Once they are available again they will go back to normal pricing. Supply is low due to everything going on.
Your car is so clean man, and that lip to driveway gap sheeeeesh 👌🏼
Finally. Was waiting for the whole kit links so I can order. Wish you showed us where the holes/bolts went in the bottom of the bumper
They are all in the description. They are just bolts right into the diffuser part. Not much to show as you can’t even see them due to the recess.
First! Love your content man! Your STI seriously is the cleanest one I've ever laid my eyes on. 😎
Nice. Thinking about putting on some mudguard though? Believe it would look great on it.
I’m not a fan of them
my goodness. even your driveway fitment is on the money
😂 that got a good laugh out of me.
Looking good! You might have to reconsider lowering the front (?) Or modify your driveway!
I like the ladder idea
So clean, I may cop one myself this year. What exhaust are you running?
Delta motorworks
Looks complete, will you do CF door handles?
I’m done with the carbon overhaul.

There are a few render and spy photos. So far, it’s not looks pretty (exterior wise).

Hey what’s the spoiler above the rear window? And where did you get it? Love the ride btw

Car looks sick man, great job! Will you be selling your old diffuser?
It’s all gone already

Not a fan of the stabilizers. Wing is crazy enough and I feel the stabilizers make it stand out even more than it should.
I'm still waiting on my OLM CF diffuser, where did you order it from? fuck me of its subispeed
Haha the links are below in the description.

@@Autofreakgarage meant for steven
Yo Scoob, you ever thought about adding window deflectors?
I am not a fan of them. I’ve expressed my opinion on them before in other videos.
are your coils maxed out in order to get 3 degrees of camber in the front? if not how do you know what degree youre at without going to the shop
They aren’t maxed out. You need an alignment after a suspension install so they will be able to tell you the camber.
What is the carbon piece you have around the muffler tips?

@@Autofreakgarage dang they are sold out everywhere 😞
What size tires and wheels are you running on? Is your speedometer on with those tires and wheels?
265/35/18. Yes the speedo is accurate.
did you sell the old diffuser u were running ? 😩
Been sold and already on a subscribers car
why not rivets instead of the self taps?
Rivets are an option, but I didn’t have the tools to do it. Would be a major pain if you ever wanted to remove though.

Did you rolled your fenders ?
Rears are rolled. They have been for a few years now when I first put the Enkei’s on.
Not bad 👍🏼
next video "I carbon fibered my whole car"
Would be a good title... haha. This will be it for the carbon overhaul for me.
