Thank you. Had the same issue. Followed your instructions and it works. Saved me so much money on repairs.

My unit will just not start, no fault codes unless i go into the diagnostics set up, Then i get the F70 & F25 INLET THERMISTOR, don't know if the F25 fault is an additional fault because of the F70. Prior to that i had the main controller board smoke. Replaced it and everything ran fine for 3 months, This dryer is at the 10yr cycle just out of warranty by a couple of weeks. Called up kennmore sears and could not get any goodwill. They told me we don't care if its 1 day out of warranty we will not fix it.

Not sure if you check/reply to your comments or not, but I have the exact same dryer and have a question that I’m hoping you may have some advice on - my front control panel won’t do ANYTHING. No error codes, no lights, no beeps...nothing. I know the dryer is getting power because the drum light comes on when you open the door - but the drum light does NOT come on when the door is closed and you press the drum light button. Any suggestions?? :-)

I'm not a service/repair person, I just figure things out, so i don't have a good answer, but it could be a "controls" communication problem due to a loose or corroded connection. See my Video for "Dryer F70 Error Code Fix for Sears HE3. It might help.

Looks like a new board possibly i ran continuity checks for open or shorted wires, checked connection and pins everything checks out. looks like i'm buying more parts. Really i can't complain i got 10 yrs out of it. Just seems like everything goes to pot after the warranty runs out. Nothing lasts forever anymore.
