Hello Adrian! I am glad to have found your yt channel through "RK Outpost" channel. You were my inspiration when I was a very young teenager and I watched Highlander religiously. Later on I also watched "The source" and although it was not a good conclusion to the franchise it did not make me forget all the great moments I had watching the series. You were the coolest guy when you played Duncan Macleod (especially for a 12yo boy) and now, 20 years later you are still a cool guy in my opinion and I am thoroughly enjoying your opinions on most topics. I would have totally kept the coat too. The first thing I said to myself when I watched The Source was "Oh, that's a nice coat", LOL! Unfortunately I think that's where the positive reactions stopped and the disbelief began. I recently saw an interview with the director and he talked about all the difficulties involved with filming and creating the final product. It's a shame everyone had to go through that. Y'all deserved better and the fans deserved better. Thank you for all the years of entertainment.
Apparently there is a highlander reboot/make in the works with John wick director and Henry Cavill as Connor, I think it would be great if Adrian got to be the Ramirez type role but even just a cameo would be awesome.
I didn’t care for The Source, and after hearing that it was not David A’s original script, I’ve always wanted to know more about that script. There were some good moments in the film, all of which involve the familiar characters. For the life of me, I can’t name a single one, though, and watching the thing again to be able to point to one just ain’t gonna happen. I do really like that coat, too. 😀

You're a fine actor, Adrian, and you have always done the character of Duncan MacLeod proper justice. I'm glad you kept the coat. You do rock that coat, but I'm not thinking about props from The Source as much as I'm thinking how cool it might be to live on a barge in Paris. As props go, that barge has always been the one I've wanted, and that precise setting is where I want it.
The funny thing about that highlander film was it was the 2nd highlander film I bought on DVD at Walmart...I felt you Adrian definitely deserved better and I don't know if you'd remember this but I met you in Seattle 10-15 years ago now got a photo with you and told you...i love the show and it's one of the reasons I have long hair HAHAHA but it just didn't feel like a Highlander film if that makes sense...my love and respect to you and your family

I always wanted a trench coat. They looked cool in the movies/series. Up until a few years ago, I was rather "large", so a trench coat on me, looked like a tarp. Now I'm thinner, but I live in Florida. It's too hot for one (and not sure they are still in style).

My brother and I were raised on highlander the series He worked at a video store when the source was released on DVD we had no idea a new movie was coming out. It was bitter sweet although the movie left a bit to be desired we did get to see Duncan on screen swinging a sword again.

Duncan, have you thought about doing an Immortal ASMR channel, where you basically just stroke clothing from the Highlander documentaries (the films and TV) and chuckle and say things like, "it's veeeeeery soft, heh heh heh"? Could be a crowd-pleaser, there's a market for it. You could even do it in your different accents, so your original 17th C Scottish, where you stroke coats and boots and say things like "only the devil coulda made this, it's so fine!"

I really love the Source. Everybody should smoke some weed and watch it again. Its one of my favorite films to rewatch now and then. So many really cool things going on in that film. Very underrated. The guardian was creepy as hell. Highlander neededed to have an ending and no regular highlander type script could do that. The child at the end must be Connor reborn because Duncan is carrying his energy/spirit. Duncan chooses to grow old and die and connor goes on to appear in the quickening and the animated series.😂
Loved the Lion style Jacket from the SOURCE as well. As sad as it was for me to see Masahiro break, and then kill Joe, the butterfly Swords that replaced it were also very sweet. Did you manage to keep those as well? Do you still have a Masahiro of your own? Is there a particular behind the scenes story about how Masahiro got involved in the story? The SOURCE might not have been perfect, but I enjoyed it a lot.
For whatever it may be worth to you, I liked the Source. I really never ever imagined the last immortal standing would be in a 'Golden Age ' like era of man. Always imagined it would be during a dystopia future , the remaining immortal bringing in a new age

I saw every cut of this movie. I liked the first Russian one that has a Kenny lookalike Saying "Annna you must seek the source " However it had a lot of things missing. The later cuts fixed that.

I think we were so lucky that you were chosen to be on such a beloved series. The cast was stellar. No matter how many years go by, people will always remember you and love you for your role as Duncan MacLeod. Loyal fan bases that can last decades come from tv series. Often movie fans come and go just as quickly as the stars in them. We forget about them, and we're off to the next new movie and their new stars.. So I think you were blessed, and it was a real honor you were chosen to play the Duncan MacLeod role in Highlander the tv series. I have all 6 seasons on dvd, and I think it is the best series I've ever watched. As far as the coat goes, you can wear it when you visit Ohio (hoping for an SXP or comic con event in 2022). It can get quite cold here during the winter months.

I was just discussing the attempted remake/reboot of the Highlander franchise and shows and personally I think you should play Juan ramirez, I always felt that the series was kind of telling the story of the movie in a similar fashion where you played the ramirez type character to Richie's new Fledgeling immortal So I think it would have A strong impact on the fans of the franchise. Of course I realize that you are not in charge of any of that or probably have no input into the process at this point. I'm just a huge fan and have been since I was 11 when I saw the series air in 1992.

I'm a HUGE Highlander fan, but just recently watched "Highlander: The Source". I didn't hate it, but I agree that it didn't really end the way I thought it would. It almost had a sort of "Mad Max" feel to it with the whole post-apocalyptic thing. It didn't really feel like a Highlander film. The Guardian character was a little too over-the-top, and I didn't like that they killed off Joe Dawson, as he was always one of my favorite characters. I enjoyed the scenes with Duncan and Methos and their interaction. That was always an interesting relationship in the show.
AP, I once saw the end of the source and was not thrilled. However, I need to go back and watch the whole thing. As far as stuff from the series... Duncan MacCleod had a great wardrobe!! Should have kept it all... haha!! Who was your favorite guest celebrity to work with. I loved Roger Daltrey... Must have been cool working that closely with a legendary rock star!
The Source had its faults, but it still portrayed Duncan as someone with a strong moral code who is willing to help others. For that reason, the movie has worth.

Yes love the coat. Kinda liked the last movie, but felt disappointed a little more because the story was a good idea had most the lines been better, and the scenes just wasn’t visually appealing like the other movies especially End Game. End Game had one line in it that still bugs me to this day. It’s when Duncan meets the flock the first time and engages them in combat, and the guy with the hand gun that shoots Duncan causing him to fall backwards through a window, and inadvertently saving him from an unfair fight against multiple opponents after his head. Anyways a little bit before shooting Duncan, he says to him “Told you “I was gonna cut you!”. I have watched that movie so many times and watched that entire fight scene listening for the part where he actually told Duncan he was going to cut him, and he never does. I really must know, was there a scene edited out where he said that? And if so is there anyway we can get that scene put back in, plus any other badass action scenes, and anymore material period that would be good to put back in, like perhaps an Adrian Paul’s extended cut release? This would be a big deal to a lot of fans. You could redo all the cgi scenes using today’s technology going all out with a new release that would be worth it.

We had a watch party that night it came out on Sci Fi it wasn't Highlanders best moment in the franchise. I did like it when that astronomer said, a roast chicken would be nice
I'm a HUGE Highlander fan, but just recently watched "Highlander: The Source". I didn't hate it, but I agree that it didn't really end the way I thought it would. It almost had a sort of "Mad Max" feel to it with the whole post-apocalyptic thing. It didn't really feel like a Highlander film. The Guardian character was a little too over-the-top, and I didn't like that they killed off Joe Dawson, as he was always one of my favorite characters. I enjoyed the scenes with Duncan and Methos and their interaction. That was always an interesting relationship in the show.
AP, I once saw the end of the source and was not thrilled. However, I need to go back and watch the whole thing. As far as stuff from the series... Duncan MacCleod had a great wardrobe!! Should have kept it all... haha!! Who was your favorite guest celebrity to work with. I loved Roger Daltrey... Must have been cool working that closely with a legendary rock star!
The Source had its faults, but it still portrayed Duncan as someone with a strong moral code who is willing to help others. For that reason, the movie has worth.
We do not discuss a certain movie that claimed to be part of the Highlander storyline. ;)

Although I loved and still love the series to thi day, I didn’t see the movie and by the sounds of, it’s a very good thing I didn’t.

I feel there is still a lot of creativity and room to create with the Highlander. History, world affairs and that charm of yours!!! Yes love the coat. Kinda liked the last movie, but felt disappointed a little more because the story was a good idea had most the lines been better, and the scenes just wasn’t visually appealing like the other movies especially End Game. End Game had one line in it that still bugs me to this day. It’s when Duncan meets the flock the first time and engages them in combat, and the guy with the hand gun that shoots Duncan causing him to fall backwards through a window, and inadvertently saving him from an unfair fight against multiple opponents after his head. Anyways a little bit before shooting Duncan, he says to him “Told you “I was gonna cut you!”. I have watched that movie so many times and watched that entire fight scene listening for the part where he actually told Duncan he was going to cut him, and he never does. I really must know, was there a scene edited out where he said that? And if so is there anyway we can get that scene put back in, plus any other badass action scenes, and anymore material period that would be good to put back in, like perhaps an Adrian Paul’s extended cut release? This would be a big deal to a lot of fans. You could redo all the cgi scenes using today’s technology going all out with a new release that would be worth it.

Yes, love the coat as well & would B great here N Northwestern Ohio!!! I agree that some parts didn't fit well W/the highlander story line period! Duncan having a child could've started a 'New Highlander series" however The Gaurdian was a flawed character I'll leave it @ that as well!!!

I found the bad guy really silly, especially the way he had to talk! Let's forget it! Sometimes shit happens! We have a lot of great HL episodes, which we love!

I still like End Game most of all that was great & still your best work in Highlander!! Why didn't you ever try out for a star wars movie you would have been an awesome master!! There can only be one. Big fan of the Highlander TV show. Just finished watching all 6 seasons on Prime. The good old days. Made me pull out my samurai sword again and practice. Endgame was a good movie Adrian but that Source movie 🤮. I hear they are remaking Highlander movie with Henry Cavill, I hope they have a part for you in that one. Respect 🙏
