    Basic Vehicles-Tips when come to Replacing Starter.
    1. Locate the starter. It is usually located near the front of the engine, either on the side or the bottom.
    2. Disconnect the battery. Before working on any part of the electrical system, it is important to disconnect the battery to prevent electric shock and short circuits.
    3. Remove the starter. This typically involves removing the bolts that hold the starter in place and disconnecting the wires that are connected to it.
    4. Install the new starter. Reverse the process you used to remove the old starter to install the new one, making sure that all bolts are tightened securely and all wires are connected correctly.
    5. Reconnect the battery. After the new starter is installed, you can reconnect the battery and test the starter to make sure it is working properly.
    It is important to consult the owner's manual for your specific make and model of car for detailed instructions, as the process can vary depending on the car. It is also a good idea to use caution when working on a car, as there are many moving parts and electrical components that can be dangerous. If you are not comfortable replacing the starter yourself, it is best to have it done by a trained mechanic.

    Having some starter issues developing after 190K miles. I do have a fair amount of oil leaking/buildup in the area... So I appreciate the tip that I may need to do some TLC which might kill 2 birds, 1 stone...

    Thank you for posting this! The 15 bolts on my starter are super tights and I cannot get them to budge with my ratchet; but every video I've seen for replacing a Saturn starter shows them coming off just fine. Do you have any recommendations on how to loosen the bolts?

      @Vehicles-Tips  7 місяців тому

      Hmn .. 🤔 yikes .. can you reach and see where the bolt thread .. if you use some heat ..see if you can break it off while the thread bolt is hot .. might break freely … or use some P B Blaster like penetrating oil something too soak the bolt thread to loosen up over night maybe 🤔 🤨 .. worse case you might have to use some bigger breaker bar or 1/2 socket and ratchet or some longer extension bar 🤔.. I guess

      @Vehicles-Tips thankyou. When I took it off, I didn't see the second wire on the top solenoid post, so when I looked up after the starter was out I seen it hanging there.

      @@MF-kb2nv nice .. some time that signal connector break off due to corrosion.. if you goin to change the wire make sure you use some heat shrink is last longer than electrical tape 🤙…

      Witch one the hardness ? Or the sway bar ? .. you don’t need to remove them out way.. just remove those two bolt holding the start and and start harness just move it out way .. after that everything should come out easy.. i suggest removing upper starter bolt from top is more easier to remove it.. but start bolt from
      Bottom I just get it from bottom .. much easier.. hope I can help you with that same vehicles you doin ! 🤙👍 thank you again sir .. watching this video if you any other question just give buzz.. more happy help any time 💪
