@@NavjotKaur-wn7vq It is self-study so you can study at your own pace. That said, I would recommend, in general, 2 to 3 months (with daily study)

How much I love watching your videos as always. You’re right, learning English should be enjoyable. This is the way I use to learn and speak several languages: Russian, Chinese, English and Italian. Someone told me that I have never reach the academic level in English but I don’t think so. I master my accent after being in Australia. Thank you for helping all students who is learning English.

I came to Scotland last year to spend about 3 years because of studies… One thing happened to me is that I started to loose confidence when speaking in social events, especially because I have noticed all the mistakes I make when speaking which has made me feel down… in addition, Scottish accent has been a real challenge… I completely agree that learning another language is something you have to have the experience, connect with people, otherwise it gets harder. Thanks again!

That's a good point, and I find once you learn a second language, then learning a third and fourth is much easier.

Hello Keith, one of my strategies that I am using to expand my vocabulary is watching TV programs, which I am very fond of. You know, I am interested in scientific stuff, so I tend to watch documentaries all the time which teach me life-enhancing things and are thought-provoking. This method, which I am adopting to expand my vocabulary, has been so effective because as I watch a documentary without subtitles, I put down chunks of phrases I hear in the video. Having said that, my teacher has realised that I am using a nice method, which is learning vocabulary items phrasely. Actually, this is the same method that I used when I learned Spanish. Another thing I do is to write down these chunks of phrases and then build a speech. I don't write out answers, this method doesn't work. I actually tried but I didn't pay off. Therefore I came back to my old method and that's just that. By the way, I use the strategy of writing down chunks of phrases to force my brain to use these vocabulary items.
I love that approach of focussing on chunks 'cos it's actually easier to make sentences and you learn the language in a real context. Thanks for sharing and keep going!
