@@BrClif I totally agree with the Scriptures you have used. Your commentary, I find wanting. I understand that repentance is a process and not a prayer prayed each time we sin. The Repentance process is done with the Holy Spirit. He shows us the evil behind sin. He takes each individual through each sin that, that person struggles immensely with. He shows them why sin is destroying lives including their own life. He reveals the victims of our decision to choose sin and the impact our sin had on their lives. That part of the Repentance process brings us to remorse and empathy towards our victims. I will only share with you this much. What about Repentance towards God?
Amen 🙂 Yes, the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin (Jn 16.8). Teaches us what the law says regarding that sin (Jn 14.26). Then empowers us to overcome it (Acts 1.8) ❤️ Yet, the scripture says, "The Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Let us pray for strength ✝️
We must walk in a sacrificial love like Yehoshua Messiah, but we need to surrender and follow Yehoshua Messiah who leads us in His truth and righteous ways of justice. Thank you for the video.shalom
When I first saw the 'Thumbnail', I my first thought was, "Oh no, here I go again, I'm about to learn a new meaning to Repent", but nope, it's the same "Repentance" that I already believe in. New sub'.
I was really enjoying this and then you said just accept His forgiveness. We need to not only confess our sins or at the least ask for the forgiveness of our sins but, believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess Jesus as Lord. Romans 10:9,10 As you said, churches have stopped telling people to repent. They preach faith alone instead of Faith, Prayer, Repentance and Worship. May God bless you in the name of Yahshua our Anointed Lord of kings amen.
Yes, God has provided the means of redemption, forgiveness, and salvation; all we must do is accept these great gifts. Thanks for your prayers and support ❤
@@purelightministries Good Works Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, (Not the law) which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Matthew 16:27 For the Son of Man will come in His Father's glory with His angels, and then He will repay each one according to what he has "done". Matthew 7:19-23 Every tree that does not bear good ‘fruit’ is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, by their ‘fruit’ you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’ John 15:1-17 I am the true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, and every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes to make it even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the ‘word’ I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much ‘fruit’, proving yourselves to be My disciples. As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Remain in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. This is My Commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lays down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I Command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will remain-so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. This is My Command to you: Love one another. Revelation 22:12 "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to what he has "done".
As a repentant sinner, I would be graciously happy to be as a prodigal son to was the feet and sweep the dust of those entering the kingdom of our heavenly Father. Even to never enter myself. ♡.
There is even an underlying idea in the Hebrew word for repentance, sub or shuv, which involves an ongoing, continual repentance (turn/return again). I think when Jesus talked about repentance it was with this continual cleansing in mind. It is not a one and done deal, but the sinful nature being washed away and new life flowing in.
🙂Amen! Yes I agree. When we become a follower of Christ we're justified by His blood. However, there is more to the Christian life than justification. Once we’re justified, the process of sanctification begins as the holy spirit teaches us the ways of the Lord. Being sanctified, we travel on the path of righteousness towards our eternal salvation in paradise. ❤️
🙂 You're not alone. We have all encountered this type of cycle. The good news is that God is stronger than our sin. All we must do is allow Him to take it away. In other words, we must say yes to God and no to our sin. If you're willing to give it up, simply ask Him to take it away, and He will. Then, we must actively choose to walk away from that sin. "Not my will but thy will be done." Check out my teaching on how this works here- ua-cam.com/video/8Itn6yk_jn8/v-deo.html God bless your journey ❤️

It seems to me that new covenant repentance in the Greek language simply means to change one's thinking, change one's mind, period. Behavior automatically comes into alignment with how a person thinks. Sin is simply missing the mark of who and what our identity is in Christ, not bad behavior. Changing our thinking to align with our true identity brings us into fellowship with Father, Son, and Spirit where there is no consciousness of sin. Rest, peace, liberty, none of this groveling and trying to clean ourselves up. This is good news.
Hello friend 🙂Although you're correct in saying that repentance is a change of mind, it's much more than a simple mental acknowledgment. Faith and repentance involve action, whereby we must actively engage in obedience to God through the power of the Holy Spirit. We must certainly be conscious of sin, for Jesus said, "Go and sin no more". And, Paul writes, "For you, brothers, were called to freedom; but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh." We MUST walk, which is an action, "in the light as He is in the Light". This is the process of sanctification 🥰✝️🥰 See my full teaching for more information on these topics - ua-cam.com/video/51tQ-5z8G4Q/v-deo.html
@@purelightministries What I am describing is walking in or according to the Spirit. When our thinking changes and our thoughts and focus align with the truth of God, our behavior automatically changes. We become what we think. When one walks in the Spirit there is no more consciousness of sin and there is no struggle to live a "Christian" life. Metanoia is a very powerful thing. People who focus on sin and trying to turn from it or focus on being remorseful about it, become more affected by it rather than being free from it. In the realm of science there is a saying that where focus or attention goes, energy flows. This is an empirical truth and it is also what Jesus taught concerning life and prayer. So, although remorse and trying to put action to our faith and being obedient to God's ways is the traditional, religious approach to Christian life, metanoia is a simply paradigm shift of how we think and what we think about. This shift in thinking automatically brings a change in our actions and behavior. As I said, this is good news. People cannot avoid behaving consistently in a manner that is in conflict with what they believe in their hearts. If a person is taught and believes that they are a sinner, no matter how hard they try to act otherwise, they will always come back to acting like a sinner. This is just a fact of life. So, people need to understand that they are no longer sinners and repent (change their thinking) to believing that they are the righteousness of God, seated in heavenly places in Christ, and are one with Christ. Life will automatically change to align with what they believe in their heart. This certainly takes the struggle out of living life. Hope this helps.
Thanks for these insights. I completely agree that we should walk in the spirit- AMEN! However, even though we have a new spiritual nature we are still covered in sinful flesh. We are two beings at the same time- The scripture says, "For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other..." Friend, regardless of our Christian faith, we will remain sinful creatures until the day we enter Paradise. There is no escaping that fact. I agree with you that focusing on sin can be a hinderance, however recognizing sin allows us to repent from it. (Rom. 7) Please see my teaching on Sin here- ua-cam.com/video/g1JmRhovV1M/v-deo.html I know some of these topics are popular among the new-age movement and the emerging church (which are both unbiblical). Sadly, these gnostic philosophies have crept into Christianity. When we accept the reality that we are trapped in a cursed world, covered in cursed flesh, our spiritual journey becomes that much easier because God's grace allows us to rise above it. ❤️
Hi A little off topic, but my question is , what is your understanding from Hebrew text on the Father/Son/Holy Spirit? How is it explained in Hebrew? Three in ONE? Is Jesus God in flesh or just Gods Son? Thank you in advance, been studying this. beyond what I have been taught
Regarding the Trinity, it's unfortunate that some early 'church fathers' and the Roman Catholic church took this concept and warped it into something it's not. As a result, there is much confusion. The scripture says that the Lord our God is one. I believe we serve a God who is beyond our comprehension. God says, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55.8-9. The trinity is one of those topics our mortal minds can have a hard time grasping. However, the Bible clearly teaches that: God is our CREATOR, our SAVOIR, and our COMFORTER. Although there is only one God, He utilizes different roles. We see this concept all throughout the OT, and the Messiah also taught the same thing (Mark 12.29, John 8.58, 10.30, and 14.9.) ❤️✝️❤️
180 Deg turnaround is needed. " Opposite Direction " to what you were walking at Conversion. If your old nature or habits come? reject them and make the quality choice to go the Lord's Way. God Himself Repented in Exodus and Changed His Mind and halted His plan. We are called to be Ambassadors of another Kingdom and not to give even a Hint of sin to anyone, those in the Body of Believers or non-believer. The standard is extremely high. I believe that the Holy Spirit dwelling in us provides " Power " over sin. If on very few occasions happen to " Fall " - ( Not Live in sin ) - He is willing to forgive us. My advice is not to tempt Him with continuous or life-styled sinning. We can lose our Salvation and we are to Work out our Salvation with fear & trembling. Honour the Lord and He will Honour you with All His Help.
Hello 🙂 That's a great verse, Matt 3.8! There are so many great passages about repentance, I could not include them all in my short teaching. You asked, "Shouldnt we repent to those we have harmed?" Yes, of course we should. Here are some Bible verses that address the topic of repentance, including repenting to those we have harmed: Matthew 5:23-24: “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.” Luke 17:3-4: “So watch yourselves. If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.” James 5:16: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” Acts 3:19: “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” 1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Proverbs 28:13: “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.” These verses emphasize the importance of acknowledging our wrongdoings, seeking forgiveness, and making amends with those we’ve harmed. God bless your studies ❤️
The WAY That Leads To LIFE: 1.) Hear the Gospel 2.) Believe the Gospel 3.) Repent: a.) From self-will b.) Toward God's will 4.) Confess: a.) All sins b.) Jesus as Lord 5.) Get Baptized 6.) Obey the Gospel 7.) Endure Love, Jeff
Thanks for this! 😀 I'm reminded of the wise words of King Solomon, "When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man." Ecc. 12:13. ❤
@@purelightministries Amen, brother! The Holy Spirit has graciously revealed to me that six of the seven actions-- excluding water baptism-- must be repeated as necessary throughout our lives. He has also given me discernment between occasional sin; and habitual and willful disobedience. As you observed, brother-- if we forgive, He also will forgive us; If we are merciful, He will show us mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. I did not specifically mention forgiveness, because I believe that it overlaps the categories of obedience, repentance, and confession. I believe that God's commandment about forgiveness is something that we learn as we continue to "Hear the Gospel". Love, Jeff
I'm glad you put repentance after believing. It is a response not a requirement to be saved, which would imply works. Repentance is outward evidence of an inward change.
Thanks for watching 🙂 Repentance is indeed a requirement of salvation. It's certainly not a "work" in the fleshly sense, rather it is a crucial step on the path that leads to life. We must take action and make a decision to turn from sin and towards God. For Jesus said, "not my will, but thy will be done." ❤️
@purelightministries I used to believe this. Repentance is not the requirement to saving faith. Belief is. If I have believed then I will repent. And if I have not repented then I have not truly believed. In her book, walking in the dust of rabbi Jesus, Lois tverberg talks about believing being an action verb in the Hebrew. When you believe, the action is repentance. But repentance is not the believing itself. Just to be clear, repentance follows believing 100 percent of the time, or one hasn't really believed at all. Perhaps it is just semantics, but there are some who try to change their behavior, thinking the repentance part is what saves them, but they have not fully believed. Repentance without faith is more dangerous than faith without repentance. God can work with a believing heart to lead it to repentance. But the one who repents of past behavior, thinking they are saving themselves by doing so, is much harder for God to reach. In the end, we both agree that repentance accompanies saving faith in Jesus. We just differ a little on function/operation.
The greek lemma metaneoe simply means "To change ones mind, to perceive after" You can "metaneoe" about the basketball team you support ... META means after .......NOEO means perceive... It's a compound word.... like dogfood... Paul used the word 4 times in the entirety of his writings . Ac 17:29-31. … change your mind and believe Jesus was the Christ Acts 26:19-20 - change your mind and turn to God perform deeds in line with your change of mind Heb 12:17. Esau changed his mind and wanted his inheritance back that he gave away .. YHWH - repents 3-4 times in the Old Testament .. Gods not turning from sin
Thanks for all these references 🙂 Amen! I did mention this Greek definition in the video. And although Μετανοεῖτε means to 'change ones mind' the substance of this teaching focuses on what to change it from, why to change it, and how to do that practically. That's why using both the Greek and Hebrews language together completes the full meaning of the word in relation to our spiritual journey-- to turn from sin to Him❤️✝️❤️
@@purelightministries I get what your saying and liked the video ., yes the from and to is important and is part of the rest of the sentence in scriptures. Repent on its own needs context :)
Yes God can change His mind… He’s God! This is Not the repentance we are required to do! The men of Nineveh will rise up in judgment… why? Because we haven’t “ changed our minds”? Ha…. Because they sat in sackcloth and mourned and weeped and QUIT SINNING! You know… that thing that James mentioned ( James 4:8)!!! The concept of saying repentance is changing your mind from unbelief to believing is like saying throwing a ball is the game of baseball! It’s only a part! Every prophet, every apostle, every early disciple of the apostles…. Including Jesus preached repentance! Quit sinning!! It’s the message from genesis to revelations! Quit sinning and obey God!!
Hello 🙂 I quoted the NLT. According to Thayer's Greek Lexicon the Greek word for repent means: "to change one's mind for the better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of one's past sins." The AMP says this, "I tell you, no; but unless you repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways and live changed lives], you will all likewise perish." The KJV implies this also. What else would we repent of if not our sins? I hope that helps ❤️
@@purelightministries yes, but that's someone adding words due to their interpretation, scripture does not say that. Repent could mean a few different things. It could be that repent there means to change their mind that they are more favored by God because they don't have as much sin or that one is condemned and punished by God only when they reach a certain level of sin, but rather understand that everyone is guilty and will be condemned just the same as those who experienced those tragedies. so the change of mind is that they can't make themselves sinless and need a savior. the mentality was that because they had the Law of Moses they were saved, but Jesus, in the sermon on the mount, explained to them the true standards of God and they need to change their mind about their self-perceived holiness (repent). so they need to understand (repent) that in fact they are not holy and need a savior.
Yes, what you're describing there is a sin. They trusted in themselves (which is a sin). And so, they need to REPENT of that SIN. @@purelightministries ok, now you're just making stupid accusations about new-age and other doctrines. You are the one who added words to scripture, not me. I'm just giving an understanding of "repent" that's aligned with the Gospel, which is, 1) don't think you're a good person, which most religious people do, and 2) don't think you're goodness escapes righteous judgment of God, but rather understand that you stand guilty and need a savior. One does not have to (nor can they) make themselves perfectly sinless before they can believe the Gospel and be saved. if we that's what repent means we would all perish, because no-one is able to truly "repent of their sins" by God's standards.
Friend, I'm just making an observation. I agree with you. We will never be sinless here on earth, but as Christians our desire should be to sin less while we're here. I think you may be confusing salvation and sanctification. The moment a person puts their faith in God, they are justified through the blood of Messiah. However, there is more to the Christian life than justification. Once we’re justified, the process of sanctification begins as the holy spirit teaches us the ways of the Lord. Being sanctified, we travel on the path of righteousness towards our eternal salvation in paradise. In other words, if we are truly born-again we will desire to repent of certain sins in our lives and no longer participate in them. Does that make sense?
Just trying to wake people up; Many do not know what the word of GOD says about living in sin; I post bible verses randomly all over, in the hope that someone will see and Repent turn back to GOD, put their trust in Jesus and be saved; Many are deceived by the Devil and are on the broad path that leads to destruction (Hell)
Hello friend 🙂Thanks for watching and for your question! Having assurance of our eternal salvation is very important. It sounds like you're on the right path because Jesus alone is the only one who can save us. For the scripture says, *"Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."* ✝️🥰I would encourage you to humbly seek God about these matters for the bible tells us to, *"Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith."* and to *"work out your salvation with fear and trembling"* Since we all have a free will, we're all able to choose a life apart from God. (sadly, many do). Jesus warns us of these consequences saying, *"If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned."* Please see my teaching on these topics here- ua-cam.com/video/oG00h_Fv2js/v-deo.html
Friend, no human being can possibly stop sinning 100%. If that was the case, we wouldn't need a savior. If your struggling with a certain sin and are being convicted by the holy spirit, that's a good thing. You're not alone. I still struggle with certain sins. So, each day I ask God to renew my strength and lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from the evil one. I want you to know that we will never be sinless, but as Christians our desire should be to sin less. When you fall or stumble, God's love, mercy and forgiveness is available. ❤️

Repentance was unto the Jews, for they had the Word of God given to them, and they turned from the truth of God's word and replaced it with their own rules and regulations, and needed to come back to the truth of God's Word. John came and preached repentance to the Jews, and baptized them in water to give showing that they yearned for a clean heart. That is repentance. But, to them that had not the Word, but when hearing the word of God's salvation through faith in God's salvation, (Jesus) and believed in the word of God (Jesus) would be made clean and a new by the Spirit. They were not told to repent, for they never knew the word to turn from it. They merely needed to believe step out of their darkness and into His light. So, gentiles sinners need not repent, but merely receive the truth of God's word, knowing they lived in darkness and needed God's salvation to live no longer by the wicked deeds of the flesh, but by the Spirit of God. But this is also true. Just as the gentiles had to turn away from their not living by the word of God but in their own religious righteous deeds, so too must every gentile believer who turns away from the truth of the gospel. That's why in Revelations, Jesus then tells the gentiles churches they must repent or have their names blotched out of the book of life. God bless.
Friend, I'm not sure what type of theology you're using to come to these wild conclusions. 1. Your definition of repentance is simply not biblical. 2. There is neither jew nor gentile, for we are all one in Christ. (read Hebrews 11) 3. You're incorrect about repentance for the gentiles, because the scripture says, "Then indeed God has given also to the Gentiles repentance unto life." Acts 11.18. I'd love to help you. Luke 13 : 3 does not say repent of your sins , it says ...except ye repent , ye shall all likewise perish . Repent from the Greek ; Metanoia - to change ones mind . In this case to go from whatever one is believing in and to believing solely in Jesus Christ .
Unbelief IS A SIN. ❤️I'd love to help you, please see my full teaching on True Biblical Christianity - ua-cam.com/video/iTMHtpsLmvE/v-deo.html

Friend, I think you may be confusing salvation and sanctification. Our obedience to God is the product of our faith- not the means to earn it. That’s why the scripture says to “bear fruits worthy of repentance” Mt 3.8 And that's why Jesus said to "go and sin no more" Jn. 5.14, 8.11 Please see my teaching on Biblical Christianity- ua-cam.com/video/iTMHtpsLmvE/v-deo.html AND the False doctrine of Free-Grace theology- ua-cam.com/video/43tvnhTmXWc/v-deo.html God bless your studies ❤️
Absolutely. I'm not sure why you're so adamant about this. It's really simple - Sanctification is mark of any TRUE Christian🙂 The letter to Titus gives us a wonderful picture of the WHOLE gospel. It says, "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to everyone. Instructing us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, as we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good works." Titus 2.11-14
Yeshua ? I know him as Jesus our Christ. Can a leopard change his spots? Repentance is turning to Christ Jesus and Jesus Christ will Save us and turn us all away from our sin as Written in the Word of God being the Son but to come from whence he rose as our Father the Almighty One as God with us and we his Children on that Day. Hello friend 🙂Thanks for these insights, but I'm not sure exactly what you're asking or saying. Regarding the New Covenant, I find Ezekiel's version to be a wonderful place to start. It says, "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my ordinances." Ezekiel 36.25-27
Everyone knows what repent means unless they're just lying to themselves. WITHOUT TRUE REPENTANCE FROM SIN THERE IS NO SALVATION. GOD IS NOT MOCKED, WHATSOEVER YOU SOW YOU WILL REAP, IF YOU SOW TO THE FLESH(live in sin), YOU WILL REAP CORRUPTION(hell)
🙂 Hello. You're absolutely correct, we are all fallen. You may have misunderstood this message. We are being sanctified as we travel on the path of righteousness towards our eternal salvation in paradise. None of us will be sinless here on earth, but as Christians our desire should be to sin less while we're here. ❤️
1)Blessed are the poor in spirit, (accept that you need God) 2)Blessed are those who mourn (remorse for your own sinfulness) 3)Blessed are the meek (who humble themselves and admit their flaws) 4)Blessed are the merciful (they forgive others as they themselves wish to be forgiven) 5)Blessed are they that hunger and thirst for righteousness (those that turn away from the path that leads to destruction and back to the narrow path and gate again and again) Mt 5:3,4,5,7,6

Good Works
Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, (Not the law) which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Matthew 16:27
For the Son of Man will come in His Father's glory with His angels, and then He will repay each one according to what he has "done".
Matthew 7:19-23
Every tree that does not bear good ‘fruit’ is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, by their ‘fruit’ you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
John 15:1-17
I am the true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard.
Revelation 22:12
"Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to what he has "done".
Amen 🙏🏾
My former pastor used this explanation, “Change your mind, turn around, and walk in a new direction.”

For some reason i repent as the definition implies but i still keep sining. Mostly the same sin over and over my whole life.
Just to add: Baptism in water is by full immersion.
And, Paul writes, "For you, brothers, were called to freedom; but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh."
We MUST walk, which is an action, "in the light as He is in the Light". This is the process of sanctification 🥰✝️🥰
See my full teaching for more information on these topics - ua-cam.com/video/51tQ-5z8G4Q/v-deo.html
They are opposed to each other..."
Friend, regardless of our Christian faith, we will remain sinful creatures until the day we enter Paradise. There is no escaping that fact.
I agree with you that focusing on sin can be a hinderance, however recognizing sin allows us to repent from it. (Rom. 7) Please see my teaching on Sin here- ua-cam.com/video/g1JmRhovV1M/v-deo.html
I know some of these topics are popular among the new-age movement and the emerging church (which are both unbiblical).

Hello, that symbolizes a "U-turn" or a 180 degree change of direction.
Amen! Thank you for your insights ❤

Shouldnt we repent to those we have harmed?
Hello 🙂 That's a great verse, Matt 3.8! There are so many great passages about repentance, I could not include them all in my short teaching.
You asked, "Shouldnt we repent to those we have harmed?" Yes, of course we should. Here are some Bible verses that address the topic of repentance, including repenting to those we have harmed:
Matthew 5:23-24: “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.”
Luke 17:3-4: “So watch yourselves. If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”
James 5:16: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
Acts 3:19: “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”
1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Proverbs 28:13: “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”
These verses emphasize the importance of acknowledging our wrongdoings, seeking forgiveness, and making amends with those we’ve harmed. God bless your studies ❤️

Love,
Jeff
The greek lemma metaneoe simply means "To change ones mind, to perceive after"
You can "metaneoe" about the basketball team you support ...
META means after .......NOEO means perceive... It's a compound word.... like dogfood...
Paul used the word 4 times in the entirety of his writings .
Ac 17:29-31. … change your mind and believe Jesus was the Christ
Acts 26:19-20 - change your mind and turn to God perform deeds in line with your change of mind
Heb 12:17.

The AMP says this, "I tell you, no; but unless you repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways and live changed lives], you will all likewise perish."
The KJV implies this also.
Also, it sounds like you're mixing some kind of new-age teaching or emerging church theology (both are unbiblical). Please see my full teaching on Biblical Christianity and the true church here- ua-cam.com/video/iTMHtpsLmvE/v-deo.html
Can I lose my salvation? If I only believe in Jesus alone, Am I saved?
Hello friend 🙂Thanks for watching and for your question! Having assurance of our eternal salvation is very important. It sounds like you're on the right path because Jesus alone is the only one who can save us. For the scripture says, *"Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."* ✝️🥰I would encourage you to humbly seek God about these matters for the bible tells us to, *"Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith."* and to *"work out your salvation with fear and trembling"*
Since we all have a free will, we're all able to choose a life apart from God. (sadly, many do). Jesus warns us of these consequences saying, *"If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned."*

@@purelightministries Have you stopped sinning?
Friend, no human being can possibly stop sinning 100%. If that was the case, we wouldn't need a savior. If your struggling with a certain sin and are being convicted by the holy spirit, that's a good thing. You're not alone. I still struggle with certain sins. So, each day I ask God to renew my strength and lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from the evil one. I want you to know that we will never be sinless, but as Christians our desire should be to sin less. When you fall or stumble, God's love, mercy and forgiveness is available. ❤️

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
*If we are to love our neighbor as ourselves, how should we Love our spouses? Divorcing them and not wanting to see them again is not loving, it’s hateful, unforgiving and selfish. Jesus says if we do not forgive our enemies, our neighbors, our brothers neither will GOD forgive us.*

What is "sin"?

Hello 🙂 Contrary to what most mainstream churches teach- the Bible teaches us that Jesus is indeed our Lord ❤️
The word Lord simply means master- Paul writes, "if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Rom. 10
Acts 2.36 says, “Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ.."

But he who believes must not only repent, but he must also be baptized for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38) under the Great Commission (Mat. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16).
Soul Purified Now in Christ's Blood ! Realize you are a sinner being sorry. Sin is lying, evil thoughts, lust, etc. Therefore, do not trust in your own works to go to heaven because you realize, being a sinner, you cannot offer the perfect blood sacrifice that God requires to pay for sin. Instead, believe, meaning fully trust, that in Christ's love for you, on the cross, His one perfect blood sacrifice, when Christ bled, suffered and died, in your place, paid for your sins in full, past, present and future ! Believe that Jesus rose from the dead ! Believe Jesus is God Almighty, God the Son, alive for evermore ! And believe that the sinless blood of Jesus Christ is what cleanses you from all sin, which purifies your soul ! Then the Lord Jesus will forgive you, save you from hell and give you eternal life ! And you will be sealed with the Holy Spirit who will dwell within you forever! And thank Jesus ! Rom.3:25,5:8,9,10:9, Is.53:5,6, II Cor.5:21, Ephes.1:7,13,4:30, Heb.10:14,38,39, I John 1:7, 5:7,13,20

A weak gospel says that God will forgive your sins if you come to him. A powerful gospel says that God has forgiven you through Jesus Christ. Receive what he has done for you.
🙂Thanks for watching and for your comment. Yes, repentance is certainly a change of mind, however it is also much more than a simple mental acknowledgment. Repentance is an action whereby we turn from the thorns and thistles of the wilderness (sin, death, hell) and begin to walk on the path that leads to Life (salvation with God). The moment a person puts their faith in God, they are justified through the blood of Messiah. However, there is more to the Christian life than justification.
(read Hebrews 11)
3. You're incorrect about repentance for the gentiles, because the scripture says, "Then indeed God has given also to the Gentiles repentance unto life." Acts 11.18.

Luke 13 : 3 does not say repent of your sins , it says ...except ye repent , ye shall all likewise perish . Repent from the Greek ; Metanoia - to change ones mind . In this case to go from whatever one is believing in and to believing solely in Jesus Christ .
Hello 🙂 I quoted the NLT. According to Thayer's Greek Lexicon the Greek word for repent means: "to change one's mind for the better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of one's past sins."
The AMP says this, "I tell you, no; but unless you repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways and live changed lives], you will all likewise perish."
The KJV implies this also. What else would we repent of if not our sins? Unbelief IS A SIN.
