For a couple decades now, I keep going back to Antec for my custom PC builds. Other brands seem flimsy and full of unecessary bling bling in comparison. Antec nails the essentials plus some well done aesthetic touches, without going full juvenile RGB alien looking crap like the other brands.
I transferred my 13900K into a Flux Pro last week & over the 35 years I have been in this industry, it was an ‘almost’ effortless experience. Airflow & cooling potential is amongst the very best I have used in a case (& used a lot over the years). Couple of small issues though that I was not overly impressed with on building in it. First the grommets are terrible. Very thin, have a lot of flexibility & do not like being placed around thicker cables. These will tear if you are changing parts a lot. Second. The amount of depth behind the motherboard tray itself for cable management needs to be a little deeper (10mm extra would be perfect). If you use cable extensions, you need to ensure that the connector blocks lay flat against the motherboard tray & not overlapping any other cables else you will struggle to get the panel back on (cannot force it as toolless design). Thankfully with the longer amount of cable when using extensions this can be worked around with a bit of thought in the actual routing. Thirdly, having a bit of an issue with the iUnity software & the Flux Pro Display in that although it shows my 3080ti as an option to select in the software to show temp, it will not allow me to actually choose it & will only display the iGPU temp along side the CPU temp. Not a real issue as the case is under the desk (because of the size!) so the display is by my ankles. The fan hub itself is nice touch but needs one additional connector as case is supplied with 6 fans but only 5 can connect to it so the rear exhaust fan requires its own header on the motherboard. Saying that, the fans are very quiet & not heard them ramp up even when pushing the machine under a prolonged synthetic load like Cinebench. One change I would like to see is the basement plate fans, fitted so they are flush with the panel rather than sitting above it but a minor cosmetic issue. Can also remove the bottom HDD cage & fit a 240mm rad or more fans at the very bottom of the case if you wanted to. Overall this case will be with me for a very long time tbh & is seriously worth a look at even with its minor issues. Plenty of room still even with a 360mm AIO up top (which actually looks small when installed!), so looking forward to putting a 420mm version of it in shortly.
@@tdav_a1 It doesn't though, it may look like that due to OP's subjective opinion. I have normal version and I'm thrilled, if are comparing Flux Pro to Fractal North then this is no brainer best bang for the buck, for Fractal you are pretty much paying the tax for the brand recognition.
my first pc case evar was an antec 1200... it was soo bad and yet decades ahead of it's time .... glad to see antec is putting their long experience to task ... good job!
Appreciate the ability to remove the trays for preassembly for rads and fans. The reverse fans and plates if you dont want to run them are nice! Antec still blowing other cases out of the water.
The feature I like most of this case is that, similarly to LL's 207, the psu shroud fans have full access to cool air without any obstruction!!! We need more cases with this feat.
I wish it was in stock in Canada, I have been waiting for it for so long since the earlier reviews I've seen on it. It's a bit better than the fractal torrent which is why I wanna buy it since I have a 10 year old pc case.
Wow! I Love it! Btw what if to put AiO on the front, make sense to get more cooling? Because AiO on the top already has hot air from system and GPU. Just idea, what do you think Mr. Gear Seekers?!
As the other comment said if you mount it at the front the gpu receives the cpu hot air. It would be mitigated in this case since you have fans taking air from below though but it's not ideal imho
Tried building a similar spec: antec flux pro, lian li hydroshift 360 lt aio, msi x870e mpg carbon mb. Issue i have is the AIO fans ramp to 100% when i connect to pcie power. Im guess the fans ramping is from having 2 fan controllers. Does anyone else have a similar experience and know a workaround?
Hey friend. Is it possible to put a 4070 super on an old mobo? For example asrock ab350m with a rizen 5 1600? I didt but i dont know if my old card is working now. Or i dont know if i need an update to the bios...... The problem is i have not image
Good case, but rather conventional in its design. Can somebody please move the power supply out of the way of getting air to the GPU (without losing front intake like the Lian Lee O11)? I'd like the temperature display, if it came with its own processor and temperature probes. I'd never run software in the background.
Wouldn’t make much difference as the air would be taken out of the PCIe slot covers before it actually reaches the GPU with another fan above where the PSU sits. The position of the bottom fans away from the actual rear of the case actually gives the optimal cooling to the GPU by actually reaching the GPU cooler before any diversion of the airflow happens.
Main difference is that the Pro is bigger & has the display panel. If you want the smaller case & not bothered with the panel, then the non-Pro offers basically same cooling overall.
The pro supports a 420mm radiator at the top, and another 10mm of height for an air cooler. It has 2 more mounts for hdds. It comes with 140mm fans at the front. Has that temp screen. And the power supply on the side thingy. Imo, there are not a lot of things you would normally care about unless you need it.
This one's tough. If you judge the Flux Pro on its individual merit, it seems like the quintessential tower case. Antec have ticked pretty much all the boxes here. Trouble is, it's bland. It's safe. It's noob-friendly. Those of us who have been in the game for more than about 5 years would probably struggle to get excited about a case like this, despite it doing practically everything right. Surely I wasn't the only one thinking Antec were seemingly back with a vengeance to challenge our perception of PC cases with things like the Dark Cube. However, if you look at their product stack, they've literally cloned every successful case coming out of other manufacturers for the past decade. Without trying to sound harsh, this case would've impressed me in about 2018.
@@Mister_Phafanapolis Absolutely. Chances are it will be a commercial success. Perhaps award-winning? And it'd be deserved as it seems well executed. Personally, I'd rather see companies taking risks and coming up with more unique designs.
Been building since 1993, and this case is EXACTLY what I want. E-ATX, room for a large PSU, room for a thick 420mm radiator on top, no RGB, and, most importantly, some of the best thermals you can get. Not sure who you are trying to speak for here, but it sure isn't my demographic. Of my small group of gamers, 4 of us are rebuilding this generation, and we've all independently picked the Flux Pro.
@@nanashivii9237There are always niche markets. The problem is that that’s not where the money is. There is also a fine line between different and gaudy. I got a North before this came out, but this probably would have been a close second.
So, they did reach 95% of the way and then they quit? Case just looks nice, but... I/O on the top where the cat sits, no adequate vertical gpu mount, no hole on the top of the psu shroud to route the gpu power cables.. One look at Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X architecture tells you exactly what EVERY case must be capable of. Antec didn't read the memo.
The space next to the motherboard is a waste, it could be used for a couple of fans. I have seen too much hype around this case and the truth is there is absolutely nothing new or special about it.. At almost $200 it should be better, include dual usb 3.0 front IO or the complete set of fans
It was a dream to build in, looks great, fits large PSUs, supports large mobos, supports a thick 420mm on the top, and has some of the best thermals in the world atm. For my parts, there wasn't a cheaper case.
Why? Obvious that you haven’t actually used one so take it from someone that has built in basically every case available over the past 35 years, this case now sits under my desk. It comes with 6 fans as standard so don’t know why saying needs complete set of fans. Most will use an AIO or liquid cooling in this case so why provide fans on top when they will just be taken out anyway. Will cost more then & you have fans sat on the shelf doing nothing. You do realise that the space is there for a reason - thermals. It allows for much better airflow & less hotspots compared to motherboard touching the front fans etc. also allows for the biggest of motherboards & GPU’s to be installed without worrying about restrictions to airflow again. Once you build in this case you then see all the benefits.

What a case !!.. Btw, what is the intro music ?
my future case shame it's hard to get here in Norway probably I need to import it!

I use this case with Intel ultra 9 285k and ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 420. It's very quiet and cools very well. Great case.

Thermaltake Tower cases. Nothing comes close, nothing.
This pees & poops all over the TT Tower & then wipes itself with the Tower’s panels. Believe me, I have used both & the Flux Pro sits under my desk.
