- In today's video, we are flying out the Ki-100, which is one of those underplayed Japanese props that no one really plays.
This plane sits at 4.0 and is pretty solid, basically a radial engine ki-61.
I had a lot of fun flying the Ki-100, as since it is not seen much, it is underestimated, and people don't really know how to fight you. This allows you to kill anyone you can catch off guard.

Ki-100 is the hidden gem. The energy retention in turn is insane.
This thing was like 2.3 in air RB when they introduced it, LOL.

I mentioned it already to two high skill methodical ground players, who cut their videos. The positioning is very important part and while these slower parts can get boring they are very valuable for learning. Cuts can get very disorienting and I easily lose the track of match progress, because of that. So again, I greatly appreciate you speeding it up instead.

Just spaded it on the weekend. It is probably the best turn fighter I've played so far. Basically a Ki-61 with more power. The Ki-61 is frustrating to play because once you lose speed, it is hard to get it back. With this thing, you barely lose speed in turns, and you can actually accelerate. Great plane, good video thanks for sharing.

Pretty new to this channel, I remember I’ve seen you fly this in one of my games. It was a cold map (ladoga?). I was flying an fw 190 and all the Japanese planes were tough to kill. It was a fun match tho.
I liked the 109 F4 too, got many 6 kill matches in it and a lot more great dogfights (both wins and loses) now it's pointless to fly out. I'd be lucky to get a 2 kill match.
I am one of the odd ppl that not just like but love this plane. I think it's op but you presented it's pros and cons well. I love your content man and the way you play the game. Also, your aim is pure perfection!
The Ki-100, Ki-44 (the one with 40mm cannons) and the J2m2 are my favorites

I'll try it out then, I've always struggled against them too, but never tried it because I'm not a fan of its design lol.

I think it would be awesome if you make a video covering how you aim so damn well lol. I know it's an experience thing, but I've been playing for years and I feel like I have such a hard time staying consistent with my aim. Any tips?
I’d say prediction and understanding the velocities of guns are the most important things. You have to know how fast your bullets travel to ensure proper lead, and predicting how the enemy is going to dodge helps more bullets hit the target.

i love this plane, its basically a ki61 with a better(ish?) engine and the guns do very good damage
ho-5s are absolute piss doodoo. Most of your kills here show how not until the 13mm's come in contact the plane just keeps sparking your shells. Good content as always. We should squad up someday (without the rest of ceres ofc)

@@MacWithGun that was a year ago, and this up close all bullets tend to do a whole bunch of nothing if you aim at empty surfaces. What's crazy is that you have all my videos in check from many years before til now💀 this is where "it's just a game" is a fitting argument because you're taking it way too seriously.

No nerf happened. I played the 109f4 yesterday evening.
decided to start playing this when you made this video. only have like 100 battles in it but my k/d is like 12 lmfao
I watched 7 minutes before buying, first game I go fully stock and win a 1v1 going 3 player kills and already get some ""customer feedback"" calling me a cheater. Even though there are some AI kills, I'm sitting at 17-3 kill-death stats. This thing is a machine! Now to watch the rest of the video...

@@MacWithGun Very fair. Thinking about it yeah it probably wouldn't be all that enjoyable going against mainly new players. What about the FW 190 A-8? I just recently spaded mine and have been having an absolute blast in it!

Hey i love your content, im kinda new to this game and i wanted do know what piloting settings do you have. I noticed that during dogfights you always manage to keep watching your enemy but at the same time you are still able to drive the plane. For example i pilot the plane using the cursor but i often end up losing the enemy when i am chased because to drive i have to point the cursor in front of the plane even if i should be whatcing whats happening behind me and this makes me vulnerable. What should i change?
It’s hard to explain, but I have keybinds so that I can turn and free look at the same time.
I’m experienced enough to know where my planes nose is going, so that I don’t crash often. I use the WSAD and EQ keys for control surface inputs.

Yo what are the MEC settings you used for this plane? If any? Does this plane need it? I haven’t used MEC in years but would like to try this plane again. Also have you tried the yak 3U. If no, I know you would love it.
25-30% Engine radiator and 15-20% Oil Radiator depending on the map lets you WEP forever, you just need to manage the supercharger gear switch at more than/less than 2.2km altitude

Yak3U is a bit of a bully plane, and I feel bad when I fly it out, but maybe I'll record some footage of it when I'm having a bad day lol.

I have a question, do you use vertical targeting? Since you're so insanely good with those high deflection shots (which I miss so much I only attempt to shoot them under 400m and even them I'm deeply unsure about them)
Eh, I find the Ki-43 III to just be better at the same BR. Only thing the Ki-100 does better is dive speed.
6:18 You can do dogfights above airfields if you keep your alt greater than 3.5 km, on the condition that you do not follow down, as you are not within firing range.
Yea, ki43 is great for multiple vs 1 fights, and overall, on paper, is better.
I have a hard time aiming the ki43 because its rudder is really weird.

When was the BF 109 F-4 nerf supposed to happen? I fly with F-4 now, the last time on Thursday, and I didn't notice it, maybe I'm not very observant.

I’d assume so. They silently nerfed it, no patch notes, no info saying they did, but the performance is noticeably worse for every metric

What plane is the best premium ki 100 II or thunderblolt mk1 ?
I'm curious as to how the Spitfire Mk24 flies now that it's at 6.7 and faces a better matchmaker than it did before.
If you get a downtier its the best prop in the game, no competition. P51H is the only thing that stands a chance, and can only run.

Just got a 75% discount on the premium so I just had to buy it
that stat card says it has a 22 second turn time but proceeds to outturn a bf109
Turn times change according to your speed at that time you turn plus this plane tend to keep ots speed up making very quick turns

Here there is no question of teaching like Jengar, I understand that clearly. :);)
But, all planes are good in your hands, you will agree... Your exploits are truly memorable and make you want to progress and try to do the same!
But imagine a new player watching your videos. He will not be able to realize which plane he should choose.
A slow plane is a disaster in the hands of a less experienced pilot, as is another faster plane that doesn't turn.
The result is the same, we get shot down in flames.
I'm an arcade player, and I don't feel like I'm progressing, especially when you have level 30+ pilots present! Which isn't really fair...
Unless you copy your way of driving, which is impossible for a beginner who has only been playing for a few weeks, there is no other way than to be patient and learn to manage your own frustration...
You’re not instantly going to become good and know exactly how to fly, it all comes with experience and just watching others play. War thunder is a hard game to learn.
Just be patient and you’ll notice improvements in your gameplay :)
What MacWithGun says in the video about the BF 109 F-4 nerf is not true. Last night I played 6 battles with the F-4, 6 wins, 0 deaths, 15 kills. F-4 is completely normal. And people in the in-game chat confirmed it. There certainly hasn't been any recent nerf that he talked about.
Maybe it was just a bugged Flight model... Maybe its like, its as if the plane was running gun pods even if it wasnt.

The G-2 shouldn’t really be much of an improvement over the F-4 with the biggest difference being able to have 20mm gun pods over 15mm, at least in the game.
