The f101 at 6:05 was my grandfathers jet when he was stationed in NY. The jet followed him to riverside while he was stationed there. He's burried across the street from his jet now.

Stories like yours makes all my hard work pay off. That is really incredible that it came back from NY and very nice that him and his jet are so close to each other. Thank you very much for sharing a little of your Grandfathers history 👍😎

I live in Escondido and I used to visit March Museum. Somewhere in my photos I have a picture of one of the docents in front of the P-38. He said it was not the one specifically he flew but he did 38 missions in a p-38 in Italy in WWII.

That is incredible doing 38 missions. Thank you for sharing & for watching 👍😎

Thanks for the video. I am not able to go see the museum in person so your posting made it all the more special. I was in the Air Force 1984-1990. I feel bad that some of the aircraft that I worked on are decommissioned. I keep forgetting that it was 30 years ago when I served. When I was stationed on Okinawa, Japan I think that there was 3 SR-71 there. It was always cool to hear them start up. It was cool to see them take off at night. You can see 7 rings in the flames before they take off. I sort of wish I would have stayed in. Thanks again!!!!

Hello Alan, thank you very much for your service, man I would have loved to have seen the SR-71's taking off. 👍😎

Did you see a Chrysler siren there? Looks red, very big, on a platform outside, and very hard to miss. I'm going there in the next few weeks and I'm excited to see it.

I have the good fortune of living just minutes from the field. When my Air Force friend was stationed there we would fly out of the March Aero Club in their O2 similar to the one at 6:35 if not the same one. The Aero Club has since closed down. I took my 3 yr old grandson recently and he was amazed at all the planes. It gets pretty hot in the summertime, but it's cooler in most of the inside viewing areas.

Hello Steve thank you for watching, I had friends in the Aero club, I didn't know they shut it down, hate to here stuff like that, love those O2 Airplanes. Yes it's turned out to be a pretty amazing museum.

March Museum has accumulated a great display. I had helped a little on the aircraft when it was started. I remember the 'excitement' when the B-17 had landed. Not sure it this is same aircraft?
