Hi David. I've no doubt it is a good wallet but with this price tag i too think they're should have been a leather option.
BTW , I recently lost my Shadow wallet. Gutted. I dropped Dee at 1914 a mail and he very kindly let me have another at an exceptionally good price.

I am waiting for its arrival, an idea I had is to put the index from my Shadow wallet into the Nexus, I will see if that is possible. If it is then this will be my ultimate magic carry. Well, it arrived, and within a week the stitching came apart, got a free replacement, but do not feel the material used is up to the job. This has moved me back to my Steayh Assasin which has just as many features and top quality, palm/no palm card to wallet, two peeks, index, compact, everyday carry lots of room for cards etc, yes I now appreciate the Stealth a great deal more.

@@magicorthodoxy The index in the Shadow is very lightly glued in, comes out very easily, now I can transfer it to any wallet, or back into the Shadow, So my Nexus will have the index in it.

Your reviews are amazing. Been debating between getting the Shadow, Viper or Nexus .. and after seeing your reviews I still don't know!
I've been practicing many tricks as a hobby during the pandemic and figured I'd get a wallet to complement what I have. Since I mostly do card tricks, seems like I could implement any of the three.
Plan would be to have whatever I choose mostly be my day to day wallet.
Shadow will hold full sized cards
@@magicorthodoxy one question. Considering this would be my first wallet. I have no idea how the peaks work just yet. Given the extensive instructions of the Nexus, would you recommend this wallet for someone's first?

Real leather is based on cruelty. There are alternatives, and some fairly creative ones being developed from a variety of interesting materials that you would not have thought could be made into 'leather' commercially.

Well that’s slightly disappointing. As you mentioned, I was under the impression it was real leather. I’ll probably wait until they bring out a real leather version. At that point I’d use it as an everyday carry. Otherwise it looks great!
it is good - and as others have pointed out, if the wallet wears out by THAT time, there will be another exciting wallet out there
The perfect minimalist wallet would be the shadow wallet index with the Nexus peek. Anything more is inconsequential.
I got my Nexus wallet in today. Other than the phenomenal peek method they claim they didn't know had been created by Tony Miller years ago, the rest of it is rather underwhelming for the price. For the exact same peek method in a wallet that has an internal peek, external peek, no palm card to wallet and is made of real, soft leather, Tony Miller's Complete Peek Wallet wins all the way. And it's only $50.

It's overpriced. I was looking at FPS wallet and love their brown version for the cooler look that is clearly real leather. I would like this wallet better, especially for the peek, but disappointed at the price for the material. If it was real distressed leather, I'd be a customer for sure, as it needs to be my edc actual wallet.
FPS is a fantastic product and the teaching is absolutely awesome
The material is such a bummer. If this were made of leather I wouldn’t have thought twice about buying it.
I am waiting for mine to arrive. I too think it is overpriced because of it not being leather. I own many wallets, like most of us do, so adding to the collection may make it worth the cost. That aside it does do a lot. Certainly comes with a great tutorial. That is worth something.
and the custom money clip and the card transpo gimmick - those extra things also raise the price
I received mine yesterday and just doing some playing around with it, I can say it does what it says and the peek is best I have seen. I made a slide in 10 mins, and find the load works very well. Getting the card out of the zippered pocket will take some practice. It is a snug fit. All in all, with all the features, not being leather really not a issue. Would be nice down the road to see a leather model released, and maybe made a touch larger to ease the removal of the card from zippered pocket.
If you had to chose into wallet or this would u suggest this or into ? Also the training video for this works on into wallet kinda. If u put the work on it

Ugh. I want this wallet SO badly, but I was under the impression that it was real leather. I can’t justify spending over $100 for a “synthetic leather” (aka pvc) wallet. What a bummer.

I purchased this last week and love the concept and Javier’s enthusiasm but the stitching has started to come apart after only a week of practice. I have emailed Javier but have not received a response yet. Any thoughts on how to correct this issue? Thanks

How would you compare this wallet to the Infinity Wallet? I know you said during its review you thought Infinity was the best wallet you reviewed.
I have the Infinity. It is very versatile, but thick, even before you add your bit and pieces. It has a Sho Gun feature and a great index I have Heirloom set. Bigger than Nexus, and a little old fashioned, but good strong leather. The peek you have to reopen the wallet. The card to wallet very nice, the card appears in a snap cover. I have been using the Shadow, and now like these slim wallets so Nexus is my new purchase. ( I cut the peek feature out of my Infinity to reduce the thickness) and carry a Jaks instead for the peek. I like all my magic wallets to be everyday carry.

I really don't like these 'modern' wallets, they look to me as if half the wallet is missing, but even if I did like the look, no leather option would be a deal breaker. Shame as it has some great features.

I was considering this, but not any more. We need to demand more for our dollars from creators. No way this will last being fake leather.
I am all for giving kudos and $$$ to the original creators, but this is a $40 wallet at best.
For 40$, Wallet by Nicholas Lawrence is a great buy.

For those asking- I have the shadow and I got the Nexus from my LMS. The shadow is cool for the card index. But I don’t like the peek. It’s too easy to spot in real life.
The nexus is now my EDC. and I have 5 magic wallets not one has ever really been good enough to be my edc. This one is.
David- have you reviewed online magic memberships like magic stream etc? Magic on the Go is my fave. Steve Valentine is a great teacher.

Ok to be honest this guy is really nice nothing against him javier ! But this wallet i had faith in it really and penguin did refund me.Good service..This wallet its too expansive and really low quality.Everything was falling into pieces after a couple of hours playing with it.I was surprise and disapointed.THE FEATURES ARE NICE but whats the point of that if the wallet fall into pieces...after couples of hours..?!

@@magicorthodoxy It has happen alot to people like me as you can see on the penguin web site...with this kind of price its unacceptable ...It is at the first place anyway but its more unacceptable lets say.Its frustrating because if he lauch another model V2....ill maybe give it a shot.But JAVIER...you got to change the manufacturer man !The weaker part of it where the metal pin is..and after that it just was worst and worst..i have been refund.. but just for fun i try to keep the wallet alive...there is GLUE EVERYWHERE in it lol..110 us for an all glued wallet with good features.(that is free at the end because the glue shouldnt be there)
