I used to have the informant and after that horrible experience I decided to wait and I was questioning whether even wanted to get a wallet. I ended up getting the peak note wallet because my friend and Ryan encouraged me to do so. It's a great wallet because you get a simple peak and it's an everyday carry. And it's made out of real leather. I thought about the shadow wallet but I only use it for a few other magic props like KK.
Bobby Motta’s The Informant is my go to. One of a kind, impression wallet. Why? It uses impression, which means you don’t need to take the piece of information back, and why would you TAKE the paper BACK, and put it INSDE OF YOUR WALLET. It doesn’t make sense. The Informant gives you pockets for your impression pad, and you can use any impression devices (psypher,...). It makes most sense to give the spectator their paper back after they wrote it
I love the impression device on this but the fact that the wallet is not real leather and that cards get stuck in it and that it breaks down and is for the most part chincy as where this wallet loses me.
I bought my first peek wallet back in may. I ended up going with the razor wallet from Dee Christopher. I had already been doing a thought of card to wallet before hand, so didn’t find it necessary to spend a little more to get the shadow wallet.
I think any wallet - that doubles as a magic prop and an EDC and gets that much wear - will see abuse - its best (I think) to have a few wallets and cycle between them.
Agreed I bought mine after the hype during lockdown. So only practised with it during this time. By the time I could use it put in the field it was knackered.

I agree, Stealth is top-notch, and been around a long time. Do you know the cards from the Shadow wallet, fit the Stealth index very nicely? Also my Nexus, after a very short period has split at the top corner and stitching has all come away, poor quality, and it does not fit a Bonsalope. As always great review.

I have the Stealth Assassin Wallet but even after watching the video, I still find it hard to know what the justification is for putting anything in a wallet. Why would you take a hand written note from someone just to put it in a wallet?
"Look at that stack!" you say, and my first response was "there's just one with a zipper" and my second response was "they are all, each and everyone of them, black!" Are there any peek wallets in brown leather, for instance? I kind of think a black leather wallet is less common in everyday use, but I have no evidence to back that up. What I CAN say, however, is that any magic company wanting to market a peek wallet could easily separate themselves from a crowded field by simply choosing something besides black leather. EDIT: Your review points out which wallets have more than one color option, thank you! But still I wonder - how many people have a black wallet as their every day wallet, "magical" or not?
dont start with the cards in your wallet carry them in a stack with a rubber band, bring it out first and then as an after thought bring out your wallet "we'll keep it hidden away here where I can't get to it"
Dave help me out! I need a regular wallet to carry my cash and debit card every day and my birthday is around the corner. Can u recommend an actual everyday wallet that also can do a little magic? I need a wallet more than another magic trick but why not get both? But it seems all the best magic wallets either dont work as everyday carries or are too small and only have a bill clip. I think I knew the benefit / advantage of both but can you point out some disadvantages? I like drawing duplication and some lucky number routine with peek wallet, so you have any idea? Also if I don’t fold the billet mostly. Is S.A. give a better result? One last question, is the quality of the zipper in Viper good? I replace my non-mental/magic wallet mostly because of the zipper so I have a little concern.

I think a lot of people do. My Dad and brother both have black wallets and they are not magicians. I assumed it was half half between brown and black.
