Claiming single, 21 percent goes to federal tax, and then your wonderful state tax in California. Business owners will combat this by cutting workers, cutting hours, and closing stores. Less hours means no benefits and then you get to apply for Obama care or get penalized at tax time.

Minimum wage increase never fulfills promises. Wages artificially raised result in higher priced products. So the 20 dollars per hour will end up only buying what the 15 dollar wage bought in the past. Minimum wage actually hurts everyone.

What about the supervisors and managers that worked diligently to achieve a $20 wage? Will they also get pay increases? If not, what's the incentive?
