What's crazy is that Lebron's 4th Championship being the lowest viewership during a time where people were forced to stay home. People obviously weren't bored enough to be bothered to watch the NBA finals lol.
People had family members dying and were struggling to pay bills because they couldn’t work. Sure they were at home but sports was the last thing on their mind.
It’s crazy to think that fans were struggling but we’re supposed to believe the nba players were competing at full capacity and not tanking to get home their families. That’s why it’s a fake ring.

Travels, carries and moving screens dont get called, everything is a tech now, constant foul baiting, load management, a barrage of gambling ads and its becoming more difficult and expensive to watch NBA games. No other basketball league has these problems to that degree, not college or euroleague. Olympic games played with FIBA rules and refs were a breath of fresh air.
Ben Simmons being paid 30m+ a season to do cardio and be a cheerleader on the bench is wild where do I sign up? I can definitely average 12 high 5’s, 10 sips of gatorade and 7 hand claps a game
It’s a multitude of problems. Fouls, threes, sitting out… And then you have the problem with watchability. Nobody pays for cable anymore. You want to increase viewership? Get your games on the streaming services and off of tv networks. Netflix, Hulu, Disney plus… That’s where the eyeballs are. I don’t watch the NBA because I can’t. And I’m not buying a cable package just to do it.

All facts he the leader of load management tryna blame the spurs like kobe didnt load manage despite playing them every year but leave it to soft lebron to do it and make it acceptable
Right. The competition is gone. It’s really only the European and Foreign players who are competing hard to win. Only a few of the American stars are really trying to win at a high level. And once the old guys like Curry, Durant and LeBron are gone, there will be even less.
The Lebronization of the league has ruined it. Super teams, flopping, load management, no defense. On top of that every play is either a 3 or a pick and roll, it’s so boring to watch
YEP! I hate that everyone is focusing on the threes though. It is so much more than that! As you said, it is A LOT of stuff that has all converged to put us here. And a bunch of key people in key positions throughout the league have ignored it too long. Who knows if there is any fixing it now.

I have only been on this platform for like 2 years, BUT I have been talking about this GARBAGE for over a decade. Only now the mainstream media is starting to piggyback when it's too late.
Its been declining since MJ left. Shaq/Kobe kept it alive for awhile. And the media promoted a fake GOAT for the last 20 years to try and keep viewership.
Sick of the "load management"... i grew up watching Kobe have his dislocated finger popped back into place on the court, playing left handed due to a strained right shoulder, and battle back from one of the worst injuries in the sport--ruptured achilles... That mamba mentality is completely absent in today's nba and you can FEEL it
Which is insane to me because all the current players grew up watching him do that stuff. You would think that example would have taught them to be tough like Kobe
Ok but you’re also forgetting how Isaiah Thomas, the former Celtics player played through injuries and that ruined his career. If I saw him go through that, I probably would sit as well till I was 100% healthy
Yeah, but you're not a professional athlete, are you? Pro athletes are the modern day equivalents to gladiators or warriors or Olympic competitors of old. People who have that grit to push caution to the wind when it came to pride and competition. I understand your points and I get it if you would be too scared to play injured. But that's why you're not a pro athlete and this mentality is one piece of the puzzle when it comes to the current NBA's dwindling viewership numbers. It's weak AF, basically. Now, I'm no pro athlete. But you can't argue it's not weak AF when viewership is this low compared to eras where players weren't soft as pillows @@Mark-jn3wo

It is an absolute eye sore. If you outlawed zone defenses again, forced players to defend 1 on 1 and allowed hand checking again, things would change quickly.
The 3s arw worth more then 2 is pure idiocy. Because its all about efficienty. Look at kobe for example and MJ. They both consistantly went for garanted shots/points. They took these guys competitive drives from them to make it a squeaky clean sport. There are no more bad guys you want to tune in to root against.
I think the biggest problem is the rules. 1. The NBA needs to change the charge rule to match the NFHS and NCAA rules, which determine charging based on whether the defensive player has "Legal Guarding Position" instead of the weird "who reached the spot first?" rule that makes it almost impossible to call in real time. The other rulesets are very easy to call if you understand them. 2. The refs need to call traveling, palming, and displacement CONSISTENTLY. 3. Refs need to stop tailoring their calls based on the players involved. Also, pay players by the game. Of course all of this means that Bron will suffer.
@@tassothomas5186 FACTS!!!!!!! MJ and Kobe left the league in a BETTER place. I became obsessed with NBA basketball BECAUSE of Kobe. And now I don't watch BECAUSE of Bron. Curry, kept me interested for a bit, but after 2017/2018, even that got old.
@@allworksnew That's a common misconception. It's not about being "set." It's "who was there first?" Being "set" is just an indicator that the defender reached the spot first. And yes, palming is a problem too, but I think it is less obvious than the others.

The truth is basketball players are disconnected to the fans. Inflated wages, half asked attitudes, entitlement and now they believe they have a platform to portray their views and lecture society. Sport is sport and people are sick and tired of all the other noise. From the UK i rather watch the team from inside the NBA talk about basketball than watch a game itself. In no other sport i watch, do i prefer the analysis to the game. As a massive sports fan from UK who watches any sport on TV even lawn bowls and wheelchair curling that is a sad indictment for the NBA. The All Star game is a farce and i haven't watched one of them in over 10 years. Last point the gambling adverts also doesn't help it's annoying especially for me who doesn't gamble and sees the harm gambling causes families.
Player empowerment was the worst decision ever made. While nobody is in love of greedy billionaire owners, these entitled player attitude really killed the game. No D, no effort, out of shape, no loyalty, no pride and too much 3s and too much politics, race bait and DEI.
Honestly a simple way to make the league more interesting to watch. Make streaming or watching NBA completely free, surely the advertisement from all the new viewers would make up more than enough of the cost of streaming. Like an NBA twitch or NBA UA-cam would be killing it.
@@Abekrampe The reason they're making people pay is because the ratings have been steadily going down and with it advertising rates, so to make up for it they're chasing money everywhere because salaries are going up so they need total advertising dollars up.
One of the best analogies I’ve heard about all the excessive 3’s being shot is “Lazy Basketball.” It takes no skill or basketball IQ to just walk up the court and chuck a 3. Running plays, low post play and mid range jumpers take skill and IQ.
100%. I don't mind drive and kick basketball, but the amount of pull up threes bothers me. Like, they don't even try to work the ball inside, just take a heat check 3 and it either goes in or not. That's also a reason why people didn't like bigs shooting 3s, because it is weak and lazy. I think the Nuggets are a blueprint for a good offense that takes less 3s. But people want to follow the Lebron blueprint, having their star pound the air out of the ball, and pass the ball if they can't score.
Wish I heard more people talking about this. Anyone who ever played basketball knows. When you're tired and don't want to drive and bang bodies then you chuck up an outside shot. It's lazy basketball and that's what the NBA has become. No heart. No fight.
The problem is you cannot force a system that doesn't work with the system that everybody does that works. Top elite teams need to chuck volume threes to keep up the pace, because that's what wins most games. If you force the triangle offense in this era you'll lose games. Nuggets play it well though, but they're still averaging 31 attempts a game which is well over teams pre-2014, so they're not necessarily chucking "less" threes per se.
@@001lui There is some complex offense being played, there is great skill levels at all positions now, and its boring as hell to watch sometimes because there is simply no fire to the game. 2:30 Lebron suggesting that the problem is too many 3s feels like a subtle shot at steph. He's kind of agreeing to the "steph ruined the game" narrative, while he himself is clear main reason. They catered the whole league to Lebron in order to have the equivalent of what michael jordan was in the 90's. But they got the opposite because Lebron is a whiny narcissistic loser and now the league is in shambles.

Couldn't agree more! We lost an alpha competitor and a TRUE ambassador of the sport for the Clown King that came in after him. Historical downgrade. This all should have been expected...
This is what I told everyone. The thing about Kobe was he was able to take the torch handed to him from Mike and keep the game exciting. LeBron's style and skill level was just never on par and it's why he was never actually admired the same way mj and Kobe were. Both of them had style and finesse and competed. They played defense. They didn't try to be friends with everyone in the league the way Lebron does. He's destroyed the league unfortunately. I don't think it can recover because the next generation of players are alive now and emulating this trash. Unless some new alpha on both sides comes along and completely takes over this is pretty much the end of the NBA. I actually told my friend a decade ago when Kobe retired that the NBA will decline until it's no longer being watched much-kinda like boxing and baseball compared to what they once were. Perhaps this is the nature of sports in general though. They eventually fizzle out to some degree and always have a peak, plateau and dip. I think what wasn't really anticipated though was how quickly the NBA has dipped. Caitlin Clark proves that drama and excitement brings in fans and that it's not necessarily basketball that's the issue rather it's the NBA and it's players.
Lebron games after Kobe’s retirement and even while he was playing have been some of the most highly rated games in the nba I think he’s filled his shoes quite well but now he’s getting old I think the NBA is struggling to find a new star to elevate
Definitely not in terms of money, when you try to go for mass markets the product gets watered down for appealing to the common denominator. Problem is when you get more money more corporate leaches get attached that have no clue what they are doing, and you end up with commercial break every 2 minutes and Bron embracing himself by yelling 'taco Tuesday' like an idiot.
After watching the Baseball finals, every sport has to live up to that excitement and a seeing NBA players just shooting 3 balls all game is not very exciting.

@@skap_attackthat would be a great start. The players won’t care unless they get hit hard financially. They’ll probably shorten the season and still struggle to get players to play.
The NBA got politicized. Some of the "stars" aren't very likable or relatable. Ultimately the problem lies at the top. Who signs the guaranteed checks? The NBA just signed an 11 year TV rights deal worth 76 billion. ESPN and ABC will pay 2.6 billion annually versus 1.4 billion for the last deal. Nothing will change. But someone got taken to the cleaners on that deal. I just watch the highlights on UA-cam and of course the Skap attack channel!

Here's the easy fix: For Starters, Adam Silver needs to Step Down. He's clearly a weirdo and a dork that has no knowledge of the game of Basketball. Since he's taken over, the NBA has drastically fallen off a cliff. But here are some suggestions for Rule Changes around the League. 1. No more Guaranteed Contracts. Players can sign Contracts with Guaranteed money, but it cannot exceed 50% of the whole Contract's value. 2. Each Team can only give 1 Max Contract to a player per team, and can only have 2 Max Contracts at any given time. 3. Bring back Hand Checking, take away the gather step, and ensure that Defensive Players are not at a disadvantage Versus the Offense. 4. No more Player Option Contracts 5. Remove the No-Trade Clause from the NBA all together. 6. Penalize Players and Teams for "Load Management", or any player that chooses to "Rest" when not injured. 7. Penalize Refs for abusive/retaliatory Technical Foul Calls 8. No more Western / Eastern Conference Playoff Brackets. 1-16 Seeding, no Play in tournament. 9. Ban political talks from players using the NBA as a Platform. That's what I have so far. I'm sure we can add some more rules.

The heart and soul of the league has died. I don't see it returning until we have a Larry Bird type player. Someone skilled, hard nosed, no BS, and relatable enough to want to watch.
As a overseas fan the biggest problem for me always has been star calls. Why should a player thats more known get more fouls?? if its not a foul then its not a foul, add in fake assists and defending anyone being a foul and you have a boring league where only the stars get to have fum
Lol Jokic was the Main reason Nuggets were down the whole game he's a Walking Cone on Defense nobody sees him as a threat when they take it to the paint , Murray Sent The Game to OT Btw n yall stil wanna trade him
Players can shuffle their feet for threes. Threes aren't defended because the offense never gets called for traveling and offensive fouls, so the defense is scared of the drive.
Bring back defensive rules of the past like handchecking. Make the game more difficult and competitive. The stars will have to try harder to fill up their stat sheet. They'll be forced to EARN their money. Fans would love that.
10 main reason (I'm sure there are many more) 1. Silver (soft game, no Handcheck, Jumpers Space, physicality) and Analytics (3 point) 2. Lebron and his entourage (Klutch) 3. Media (espn), social media 4. Players think they all main characters 5. No love for the game and fans (load managenent, podcast) 6. No rivaliries 7. Lack of loyality of the superstars (excl Giannis, Jokic, Doncic) 8. GenZ fans who dont respect the history of the game. 90- 2000s is the most talented, skilled competitive era in NBA history 9. Everybody plays the same style 10. Lack of personalities aka NBA Poster Child

Agreed, that felt like the convergence of the eras, led by a competent, organic, and entertaining three-point shooting team that actually played defense in the Warriors. Silver's tenure started off so easy for him those first two years; it's been a steep downhill slide since 2016
As a football (soccer) fan primarily, we should really take note of what's happening. Insane wage inflation, less physicality and rule changes implemented by complete idiots are becoming more prevalent and we're seeing a detrimental effect on quality. I've recently become a fan of the NBA product but watching old footage does make me wonder what I've truly missed.
Great take here. The NBA should serve as a cautionary tale to all other leagues worldwide. As for you lol, I would recommend just catching up on game film here on UA-cam from the pre 2010 NBA.
-remove the 3 point line -allow more physicality on defense -restructure contracts to allow for more team control while still providing generous compensation to players that play minutes
I stopped watching around 2010. only came back for Jokic and watching him crush all the media narratives has been the only enjoyable part of the NBA for me. reasons I stopped watching: 1) 2002 game 6 Lakers-Kings and other "questionable" officiating 2) Seattle having their team stolen because a billionaire didn't want to pay for anything (hate OKC to this day and I wasn't even a Sonics fan) 3) Lebum 'taking his talents to south beach' (that was the final straw, and again I wasn't even a Cavs fan and I was neutral on Lebron at that point) tl;dr NBA killed the spirit of competition. until that spirit is revived, nothing else matters.
Hmmm, you gonna talk about the "questionable" officiating in 1992 Finals or does MJ get a pass? If you think the "questionable" officiating started in 2002 Game 6, then you weren't paying attention. Also Kobe was BOX OFFICE. If you missed that, then you're not a real hoops fan. MJ is the undisputed GOAT but Kobe was ART and there's a reason Kobe (and Iverson, and occasionally Durant) are the only 3 players MJ seems to respect after he left the game. Forget stats, Kobe's aesthetics were magical to watch. Kobe made me an NBA fan because his skill level was so advanced (and he DID NOT TRAVEL). It was like he made it harder on purpose JUST to show how talented he was. MJ's true heir. Seattle getting robbed is a legit point, and I hope OKC NEVER wins anything because of that scumbag Bennett. LeBalco killed the competitive integrity of the NBA. And they also nixed the CP3 to LA trade "because of competitive integrity" which is such an LOL moment given how LeBron, Wade and Bosh broke the CBA's rules on player collusion.
Been a downfall since 2019. Warriors dynasty was peak. Now every team tries to copy them by shooting 3s. Players getting paid so much makes them lazy. The awful social media community only care about their one favorite instead of supporting a team
Some changes I'd like to see. - Have ref's crack down on travelling, including on step back 3's. - Bring back hand checking and update rules to encourage defensive. - Reduce the Max contract amount by 25% if the player is leaving their draft team. If the player is staying with their draft team, then the extra 25% does not count towards the salary cap. - Make Max contracts 50% guaranteed, 50% tied to the number of games played. The more games players sit out the less they earn.
@michaelbme1983 they would have 50% of their contract paid regardless of games played. The other 50% would be paid pro rata for the 82 games of the regular season. It would be to entice players to play more games and not rest. It's effectively a performance incentive. If they are ruled out the entire season due to injury, they still have 50% of their contract guaranteed.
The three is not the issue, it's hand checking. You watch games in the 90s and 2000s you got big strong athletic defenders like mike, clyde, scottie, bruce bowen, meta that are allowed to not only put theirs hands on you but literally push you around and steer you. There were great shooters in that era...certainly many that would've been better than steph...but you just cant get to spots or even get your feet set if people are allowed to push you. That's why you needed high percentage shots like the midrange and to be able to bang inside.
not that much hand checking wasn't the only thing. Giving dumb fouls to stars is also a big issue because the refs just let star's get away with a lot to boost the stats. Impeding offensive movement rule change had bigger effect on scoring then the hand check rule.
underrated fact is all the future American stars flopped (Ben Simmons, Zion, Ja). Older stars are expected to keep carrying the league and there's an overall fatigue factor by the audience
Do what I do. Just watch the old Magic, MJ, Shaq and Kobe games. If they want to fix the NBA then the thing they should do is play with FIBA rules. Keep the game at 48 minutes and three point line as it is right now.

@001lui naw...real defense hasn't been played in decades. freedom of movement is garbage. the over inflated scoring is a result of the lack of defense.
@ I don’t think it’s a result of the lack of defense I think the 3pt evolution and players getting better on top of rule changes all contributed to the explosion of scoring I’ve had the pleasure of watching a few full games and see lots of great defense with great defenders like ad, and even up and comers like Dyson Daniels
@@001luinah man…. it’s the defense. The NBA has incentivized scoring, and an increase in pace. . . because they know that their core audience (younger millennials and gen z) have shorter attention spans. And they don’t really appreciate defense and fundamentals

it is amazing, I pretty much stopped watching the league in the mid-2000s once hand-checking was eliminated out of the game. The physical defense I grew up on was gone and my viewership of NBA basketball was gone as well.
There is no incentive for them to play hard. These players play hard in the beginning to get a super max or max. Once they get that, they don’t play back to backs anymore, they are often hurt, production dips.

You think they know who you are that your opinion means anything?

No heart. No fight.
@@sarnow76 I’d argue todays nba coaches run some of the most complex thought out offensive sets and schemes ever

@@FilipCordas I do agree with the corporatization and another issue we’ve seen is a crazy increase in prices but I don’t get the dig at lebron lol 😂
Sad fact!!! Watching Shaq, Chuck, Kenny, and Ernie talk about any NBA game is more entertaining than watching any NBA game.
After watching the Baseball finals, every sport has to live up to that excitement and a seeing NBA players just shooting 3 balls all game is not very exciting.
Adam Sliver KNOWS the views is going down AND STILL NOT DOING EVERYTHING TO SAVE THIS LEAGUE. These players started to not give a fuck about the game but want to have "superstar treatment" this is BS
As long as he gets his monthly pays until his retirement. NBA is just an ATM for this non-basketball player 😂
This shit has been coming for a LONG TIME now. For at least 15 years. The league just sat back and watched it unravel, NOW they are talking about fixes. Its too damn late, unless they want to lock the league out for, probably a full calendar year.
Its a complete crap
Won’t ever forget my Rockets missing 27 3’s in a winnable game 7 against the Warriors. I also won’t ever forget how worthless Harden really was when it counted in the playoffs. Here’s to him never ever winning a ring 🍻

Here's the easy fix:
For Starters, Adam Silver needs to Step Down.
4. No more Player Option Contracts
5. Remove the No-Trade Clause from the NBA all together.
6. Penalize Players and Teams for "Load Management", or any player that chooses to "Rest" when not injured.
7. Penalize Refs for abusive/retaliatory Technical Foul Calls
8. No more Western / Eastern Conference Playoff Brackets. 1-16 Seeding, no Play in tournament.
9. Ban political talks from players using the NBA as a Platform.
That's what I have so far. I'm sure we can add some more rules.
Sounds good to me! I especially like not allowing social justice messages on the courts. That’s the main reason why I stopped watching.
@@ryancox6268 So did you stop watching the NFL, which STILL has social justice messaging on the helmets etc?
Yeah, that's what I thought. The NBA doesn't even do any social justice messaging on-court anymore.
But apparently being against racism is so terrible (oh yeah, racism doesn't exist because NBA players are millionaires and should shut up and dribble).
LOL.
@@ludvigwittgenstein6469 you’re racist towards white ppl though that’s also the problem
@ludvigwittgenstein6469 yes the nba being full of overgrown overpaid liberal cry babies talking about politics definitely turned most grown men away especially when the on court product is lame as hell
Thanks, I appreciate what you do..
The Europeans try to play everyday even hurt. Its the overpaid Americans of a certain demographic like Embiid, Kawhi, Paul George, and just to name a few that dont play.
There was a Nuggets game where a bunch of players including Jokic were thrown out with ridiculous techs. They asked Jokic about it after the game and he basically said “Thank God this game wasn’t in Serbia because the people would riot if they paid that much money and this is what they got.”
@@mattdeluccia153 Those refs would find out that they need to buy a new car
@ Literally. It’s crazy to see the refs thinking they’re the main characters. Coach Mazzulla was pissed and the ref gave 3 techs out for Celtics players complaining. Absolutely ridiculous
@GilArenas
Embiid has probably played through the most injuries in nba history, stop being a clown and try to think before just repeating everything you see on twitter
The heart and soul of the league has died. I don't see it returning until we have a Larry Bird type player. Someone skilled, hard nosed, no BS, and relatable enough to want to watch.

they never call travels if they did half the league wouldnt be abel to play
This is why football⚽️ is better and much more Fun to watch you can see the passion of the players on the pitch on defense and ofense!

Players can shuffle their feet for threes. Threes aren't defended because the offense never gets called for traveling and offensive fouls, so the defense is scared of the drive.

Excellent video commentary, Skap! Spot on 💯
"I can tell you without fact...I mean with fact the league is more talented..." No, JJ, you had it right the first time.
Bring back defensive rules of the past like handchecking.
Make the game more difficult and competitive.
The stars will have to try harder to fill up their stat sheet.
They'll be forced to EARN their money.
Fans would love that.
10 main reason (I'm sure there are many more)
1. Silver (soft game, no Handcheck, Jumpers Space, physicality) and Analytics (3 point)
2. Lebron and his entourage (Klutch)
3. Media (espn), social media
4. Players think they all main characters
5. No love for the game and fans (load managenent, podcast)
6. No rivaliries
7. Lack of loyality of the superstars (excl Giannis, Jokic, Doncic)
8. GenZ fans who dont respect the history of the game. 90- 2000s is the most talented, skilled competitive era in NBA history
9. Everybody plays the same style
10. Lack of personalities aka NBA Poster Child
Fake gangster mentality as well ..and it has affected a lot more than the NBA. It is a cultural disaster. All this talk of showing off, women and money.. look at Ja and the others throwing all that money in the toilet while so many decent americans work hard and can't even afford rent, student loans or a new car
You forgot the biggest superstar loyalty which is Steph looooooooool. Not sure if you excluded him because he kinda played a role in ruining the game
Also the refs call to many soft a** fouls and they(refs) stay giving techs, flagrant fouls, and ejecting players for showing any kind of emotion
FACTS
@@loverofhumanity HOW? Steph saved the game from LeBalco ruining it. But LeBalco ran to Silver, got Draymond suspended, and then Steph proceeded to counter by doing what LeBalco did: for a super team.
Had Silver not suspended Draymond, history plays out very differently because the GSW were SHOWING, in real-time, that an organic, team-first approach could be EXCITING, could WIN, and DRAW in new fans.
Once they got KD, a replication of LeBalco's cowardly 2011 move, after being DOWN to KD 3-1 before OKC imploded thanks to bad decision making by Westbrook in the 4th quarters, it was all downhill from there.
Yo my dude that was spot on....big facts with every word you spoke....
Keep it coming Skap. This is the type of Christmas present I can appreciate, THE TRUTH in a factual burn!!!

I feel like Basketball got worse when Kobe retired. 2016 was the best year and every year it’s gotten so much worse
FACTS. Even when Kobe was COMPLETELY washed, he still captivated. The league has been on a slow descent to crap ever since he AND his era of players left.
For Real. Never forget Kobe’s final game - 60 POINTS! That’s a farewell performance that’ll never be topped.
Agreed, that felt like the convergence of the eras, led by a competent, organic, and entertaining three-point shooting team that actually played defense in the Warriors. Silver's tenure started off so easy for him those first two years; it's been a steep downhill slide since 2016
100% FACTS. I stopped watching after Kobe retired.
Nobody has come close to his skill level. NOBODY.
It’s not about the skill, but his generation of players all retired around the same time and the new generation got softer and don’t want to compete
-remove the 3 point line
-allow more physicality on defense
-restructure contracts to allow for more team control while still providing generous compensation to players that play minutes
Guaranteed contracts, unguaranteed motivation
That’s the real problem. Hunger to win just isn’t there like then.
I stopped watching around 2010. only came back for Jokic and watching him crush all the media narratives has been the only enjoyable part of the NBA for me.
reasons I stopped watching:
1) 2002 game 6 Lakers-Kings and other "questionable" officiating
2) Seattle having their team stolen because a billionaire didn't want to pay for anything (hate OKC to this day and I wasn't even a Sonics fan)
3) Lebum 'taking his talents to south beach' (that was the final straw, and again I wasn't even a Cavs fan and I was neutral on Lebron at that point)
tl;dr NBA killed the spirit of competition. until that spirit is revived, nothing else matters.
Strong agree. If the players don't care, why should we?
If the players don’t seem to care why would the viewers care?
What if the player is injured for that game? Would they only get 50% of the pay for that game or 100%?
@michaelbme1983 they would have 50% of their contract paid regardless of games played. The other 50% would be paid pro rata for the 82 games of the regular season. It would be to entice players to play more games and not rest. It's effectively a performance incentive. If they are ruled out the entire season due to injury, they still have 50% of their contract guaranteed.
GREAT ideas actually ngl. Those are practical.
Oh and force LeBalco to retire. (no sarcasm, im dead serious).
Well said. Also 90% of the high skilled "stepbacks" are travels.
Nailed it.
Fully agree.
not that much hand checking wasn't the only thing. Giving dumb fouls to stars is also a big issue because the refs just let star's get away with a lot to boost the stats. Impeding offensive movement rule change had bigger effect on scoring then the hand check rule.
@@alanlee67 🤣🤣🤣 no one back then would’ve been better than Steph bud and Michael Jordan was an average defender with inflated steal stats

underrated fact is all the future American stars flopped (Ben Simmons, Zion, Ja).
That is a great idea. Though it will also ensure LeBron keeps all of his undeserving records.

This is kinda dumb. One of the best part of sports is seeing who’s going to win and what’s going to happen.
the lack of defense is definitely the #1 reason it's not fun to watch. and the frequency of fouls called is insane. too many stoppages.
While I agree on the fouls I think the lack of defense is an overplayed idea a lot of the teams in the nba play great aggressive defense like the Thunder bucks and even recently the lakers
