Brodie is on the autism spectrum and did not speak a word his first decade of life. At age 10 he said "Mom" in a moment his family will treasure forever.
They're in their own little world. How beautiful to see that they have been able to put their worlds together. That must have taken a lot of patience, trust and empathy on both sides - stuff that love is made of. It's incredible how their physical connections are other worldly too. Beautiful! Thank you for letting us in.
@@epicmarioplushies2167 Thanks for commenting! It was painful-not just physical pain, I can live with physical, but the emotional, social, and financial pain was hard. But the good news is that I talk again-a lot! And I can walk again!
When I was five, I said my first words, "Is I doing it right?" When my grandfather and I were cleaning up his house. When I was six, I was diagnosed with Autism.
It's beautiful💙 I have a younger sister with autism and this video reminds me of her really much. She's younger than this lovely boy (she's 8). I'm really grateful for this video💙
My anxiety kicked in with this one. They're so cute. I honestly was like _Eeee, ooooh. Eeee, ooooh. Eeee, ooooh_ the whole time. He's a gentle giant. ☺️😳🥰😳🥰😳🥰🤭🤗💝💐🦋
I'm so glad she isn't like, strangely emotional like "woe is me" when she has to say his first words were at 10 years old. Because as someone with autism, it's very infuriating when my mother makes it seem like a tragedy. This woman smiles and gets along with her son :) He is not a burden to her.
I could possibly see him getting very frustrated and hurting someone. I can tell he doesn’t know that he can over power her and just kisses her but what if he’s really angry one day and she’s all by herself
He's playing a bit rougher, but there's a big difference between a child/boy that is unable to stop himself from 'hurting someone' and a child that plays too roughly, simply because he doesn't understand. He grabs her by the top of her head, to kiss her there, but if she tells him not to (and explains) he will try and stop. I bet she's the kind of mother that knows that he also needs moments to blow off some steam, like running around, screaming, dancing or making music.
I'm pretty sure they have already thought about this and planned and dealt with etc....I'm sure they'd appreciate your concern but it's unwarranted here.
Right, the mother has fine teeth that are very white, but she did not wear braces, it seems and there's one that seems damaged. Very interesting that throughout this video about her talking to her autistic son, all you saw is that one of her teeth is damaged. And you figured, that is probably because she 'hasn't brushed her teeth until age 10.' I think you didn't bother to learn social skills until age 10 and now you've missed the entire period of development, dear. There's still hope though, you can try and refrain from focussing on people's teeth next time there is a video about autism around.
The bond between these two is beautiful. What a good mom (:
Agreed

The fact that he gently pushes her hair away every time is precious
He’s so sweet 😍😍 you can tell his mom takes amazing care of him, and he expresses so much love for her!
I fell off a cliff and couldn’t speak for months, but my first word after the accident was “Mom” too! But I said a whole phrase: “Mom. I’m bored.”
Oh my gosh sorry to hear that sounds painful to fall off a cliff

I don't think he's this kind of person. But this is just my opinion.

Looks like his mom didn't brush her teeth until age 10 as well.

It also looks like the best part of you ran down your mother’s leg 9 months before you were born. Shame.
