Burning graphite under water with a Tig welder creates a gas that when captured and compressed like air can be stored like propane. It bonds the oxygen and hydrogen molecules together with the carbon. The inventor who tried to bring it to market back in the 90's in Florida even tried to sell the idea to NASA according to the videos I have seen. It was called Aquafuel by this guy and claimed it was ZERO point energy when setup properly. The gas that was created with electric till it was enough to run the generator and compressor then ran the gasoline powered generator putting out enough AC power to run BOTH and still made enough gas to fill the propane tanks. I don't know where to find this on Internet anymore. However Larry Rise from Missouri Renewable Energy Channel use to sell the videos at his energy fair's. May be able to get one still if any are still available. It shows the whole process. Easily replicated if you are able to get one of these videos. I don't know what happened to the inverter and where or why it never made it to market Other than it was SO easily replicated. He drove a mustang on the gas. And claimed that the only thing that exited the exhaust pipe was water. A truly green gas. The only reason I can think of that why the government didn't allow it was there is no way to meter or tax the gas created. Because again it's so easily replicated and no way to monitor the use. Inverter even explained how to make the gas from sewage water and claimed that all that was removed from the process was turned into carbon and could have more graphite made from the waste. ????? DEFINITELY worth looking into if you guys were to be witty enough to tackle such a task. Show us ALL how easy it is done... Be the change...
It use to be on UA-cam
Y’all should so use the old truck with the two piece windshield and step side and put it on that frame that would be so cool to see
Porsche Unimog....... Overlander...... Webasto heat inside...LPG powered.....
Yea, I just don't see a Porsche Unimog overlander on UA-cam anywhere........
What a sweet Mini-Monster.I think the Jag shell will remove most of the top heaviness, plus look way cooler.
I agree!
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo just make sure to slam that jag body real low on that frame! I trust your cutting skillz! :D
Hell yes! Jag by 4
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo Unleash the Jag-o-War!!
It's the mogster truck.
I had a huge smile on my face watching you towing the BMW, but I have got to remind you lads that Unimogs are inherently dangerous. You need to think in terms of not falling through a side window when the Unimog rolls onto its side, so a proper roll cage (which will unfortunately make it even more top heavy) and four point harness. Probably best to accept that it won't go round corners fast. Several NZ Defense Force soldiers have been killed in Unimog accidents, and dozens injured. This is just in New Zealand! We love to see Ethan sending it, but we need him, and all of you, to stay safe.
Wider tires?
I think building a custom cab over would be the way to go. Three bucket seats wide, right up front and sitting high. Then the back could be another flatbed hauler or could be swapped out.
yes please
Agreed.
In other words make it a unimog? What’s unique about that…
@@DarcemanCRF300L well with the Grind Hard attention to detail it would come out looking amazing like their pickup they rebuilt and caged. And I counter what’s sooo amazing about a minivan or Jaguar body being on top? To me personally it’s cool for a minute but then my brain takes over and it’s just, meh. I’m more impressed by something more custom. Like Gingium’s adaptation of WRX driveline into a Miata. It wasn’t just empty the shell of the Miata and find a way to graft it onto a cut down WRX, he cut frame rails and built a tubular section to be able to mount the front subframe to. Just my 2 cents.
I though that as soon as I saw the combi sitting there.
That is awesome! I was going to suggest to cut channels in the body to drop it lower on the frame until I saw the idea with the Jag. That is going to be sweet. The lower you can keep the center of gravity the better!
Jag up the Vanimog, that sounds like a wonderful idea, continue the legacy of the off road Jag. Some of the coolest vehicles out there are basically sports cars made to climb almost anything off road :P
That little red Jeep pickup would sure look sick on the Unimog, just saying. I like the Jag idea too, can't wait!!
Yay save the jag that would be so cool. The jag also would be able to do off road stuff again. The legacy is too great to let die.
Agreed 100%
I have one of the newer FLU419 unimogs. like the one the neighbor had who had raced you, except mine is still fully outfited with the backhoe and front loader. The things these trucks will do without tipping over is INSANE. Ive done things fully built jeeps wouldn't do. these trucks are so amazing.
What an awesome machine !! I would almost go with the VW bus since it has the same cab forward design as a unibog , probably be less fab work , but I know what ever y'all do will turn out awesome
The vw bus was rear engined
@@sean6992 thought the unibog was rear engine ? Looked like it would of been easier as far as the pedal set up as well though,
There is no place a Mog can't go to. 😁
Drove these 404s in my Army days in the late eighties when they still were on active duty. They aren't the fastest but they can go literally everywhere. I can't wait to see what you guys will do with it.
The Vanimog needs a rollbar. I'm thinking the frame will crush the poor little van body on a roll. lol
have you seen the original body!? The van is probably safer, but stlll dangerous
@@lazy-rabbitz You're right, its a toss up. Haha
This is going to be amazing! The Jag body is going to be perfect! Go full Mad Max with it: matte black, nose down stance, huge tires, exhaust stacks with propane routed to the tips with spark plugs...
It lives, it dies, IT LIVES AGAIN!
Ya know, seeing the shot of the axle under the van, someone could build a badass off-road rig by taking the front axles from a compact tractor. My Mahindra 2310 has portal axles and hydraulic steering on the front axle. With two of those axles you would have 4 wheel steering and portals for a small vehicle
Its been done, at least for the front axle, low gearing and they steer really tight too.
Thats my old Unimog. Glad to see you putting it to fun use. You will find a remote to the stereo in the compartment below the stereo.
Please create the JagMog!!! Although top heavy, that MazdaMog is quite amazing for the initial rides shown! Can't wait to see what it will become.
The one, and "only" mini van I would ever drive or be seen in. I look forward to the ensuing chaos!
Jaguar Uni-Mog is my vote. Even making up for the wheel base difference with the necessary fender clearance cut.
Brilliant idea definitely where I hope it goes. Plus there's a good chance Ethan's pedal box adaption won't just be holes in the firewall with pushrods, and that's a pretty exciting idea by itself.
I've noticed the progress on the GC coupe happening in the background of the videos. Saw it had paint in this video, nice work, who ever is working on that thing.
Thanks man that really means a lot:) I just finished STI swapping it!
-Will
I think using the jag for the body is a great idea; I love seeing an old build repurposed. But I was also eying that VW bus in the background and thinking that might also be a good candidate. It's already pretty beat up and I just think it would look awesome!
Most of you guys probably know this, but the weird drums on the front wheels are actually like makeshift winches when you get stuck. You put a rope through the holes and then just pull yourself out when the rope rolls up on the drum.
When it comes to having fun you guys definitely know how to do it, and that thing is one hell of a find! Can’t wait to see what you do with it but I know it’ll be good
Whatever it is ! great video guys!👍🏼🤩💪🏼
That frame is literally just like my rc crawler! Portal axles, the steer links, everything! Thats bad ass!!
I love the video quality you guys are coming up with now congratulations!
So hilarious when they were being pulled.... steering the wheel at first like they could steer where they were going.🤣🤣
It needs a cab and bed that are split so they can flex with the frame. When you have a solid body you lose a significant amount of suspension articulation because the body is keeping the X frame from twisting like it is designed to do.
I'm 4 minutes in and this thing seems so, so badass. Most capable minivan I've ever seen.
Love to see you guys have some fun. You work so hard
Propane Engine = Much cleaner emissions, cleaner oil/fewer oil changes, engine lifespan 2 to 3X longer due to much cleaner burning fuel source. Reminds me of those Russian UAZ 4x4 vans, I think they look cool sorta like a 4x4 VW bus. I'd add either a high top roof kit or maybe a pop up roof since it's already so tall & make an awesome 4x4 campervan.
As a unimog ethusiast.... this is HERESY!!!! and yet so awesome
Best content yall have had in awhile! Looks like I need to start watching the classifieds up north. IUda made the 8 hr drive ni a heartbeat if I'd seen that for sale.
Worked with Unimogs in the Bundeswehr and yeah, they have so much power and endurance for their relatively small size.
Unreal. Looks like it has portal axles under it… Probably gear reduction in each hub… Can’t wait to see what y’all do with it! 👍
That van-i-mog is WICKED cool and you guys can make it WAY better! Hopefully drop the body around the frame!
Sweet there's a guy near me with a wood grain sided 80's Chrysler mini van on a 78 bronco chassis with a 460 and 35 inch boggers you can't help but smile when you see it running around
This could end up being one of the coolest builds you guys have done!
straight up livin the dream fellas!
Man, I was cracking up when you were hauling the BMW shell all over the place. You guys have the best fun. Should have kept it for the fall fair and charged $25/ride LOL. Course the insurance would probably kill ya LOL.
See you guys at SEMA, that’s a winner for sure! Killer vid - thanks!
Are you going to be there
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo No, but I’d damn sure figure it out if you went!
With some of agricultural tires that are as wide as they are tall, this thing would be pretty unstoppable. I think it's just too easy to tip and digs a little to easy when hung up on rocks
Yes, it would be unstoppable until the wheel bearings and portal hub bearings gave up prematurely, and without power steering, which these unimog 404's never had, it would also be unsteerable at low speeds.
@@fintan9705 you can't add hydraulic assist steering? It doesn't need to be street able. They rebuild the axles on monster trucks every show and these guys have replaced the ball joints in their tacoma more times than they'd like to remember
@@16driver16 yes there's always hydro assist, but rebuilding those portal hubs ain't cheap, if you're doin regular rebuilds you're gonna need deep pockets, for bearings and seals alone you're talking the best part of 500 bucks a hub.
You guys should lower the jag so the body fits almost flush with the unimog wheels. So excited for this build!
Another vote for the Jag here! I own a 404 too... Don't be afraid to Rev that M180... they like the R-pums ;)
While the Jag is pretty sweet, your Willy's body on there would be epic. 60's body for a 60's frame. It was meant to be!
The Mini-Mog !!! Craig is one of my best friends, I worked on that before, lol
Yes to the jag! And the BMW body makes a nice road grader
Man, that thing works way better than it looks. I'm pleasantly surprised! The thing is siick!!!!
Wow
2 tanks !
That's is some real plumbing!
Nice work yall
Just go bodiless. Put some seats and a roll cage on it and call it good. Maybe some sheet metal to protect the driver and passenger a bit and a window. If you did anything put some powerful lights a winch front and back.
You guys never seem to have problems finding sweet deals. 👍
Love the builds, keep up the good work.
I'm totally hyped for the "UNI-Jag" ... Lezzz go. 😝😝😝
Always surprise me with the finds ..can't wait for this build n flip
The math is wrong on the Jag for opening up the wheel wells. If you widen a 30 inch opening by 5 inches in one direction you get 35 total. Half of 30 is 15 which would find center. Half of 35 is 17.5. Which means 5 inches of extra fender only nets you 2.5 inches in wheel base if you want the wheel well centered over the axles. To get 10 extra inches out of the wheel base you'd need 10 inches of fender off the front and 10 off the rear. Hope that makes sense. Looking forward to how it comes together.
My last vam was one of these... well sorta, I took it everywhere it just wasn't lifted haha now I have the next body style and after 3.5 years it's on its last leg lol just ran lacquer thinner in the gas to try and clean the catalyst converters without having to remove them lol this thing u have tops those big time!!! Haha enjoy y'all!
Been watching for over a year love you guys, you help me with bad days. Much love
That Uni-Jag would be sick!
Definitely a fan boys!! Glad you’re going with the jag body!
I'd love to see a different body on that mog.....like a s10 cab-forward and a custom flat bed..sick with it records type shit
That looks like a blast to drive, gotta love the wilderness of Idaho!
How appropriate to have a MAZDA MPV Body mounted to a UNIMOG!
How about a late 1980's Extended Cab MAZDA B2300?
That would probably look better (with a Canopy), and be more "Utilitarian" depending on what you plan to do with it!
Just keep the MPV Body on it, it suits VERY WELL!
Now to see if y'all can get wider Wheels & Tires...
Unimogs are awesome! I'm the proud owner of a U1300l
Definitely the jag body, definitely have Josh out there to collaborate on this project🤘🤘
That old ford truck in the background when you were looking at the jag would be perfect!
mog/jag all the way!!!
I cannot wait for the Moguar!
I only learnt about the Unimog last week when in a deep wikipedia dive (I started looking at a species of local native edible plant, you know how wikipedia is). Blown away by its sheer Awesome, but pretty content just knowing such a thing existed.
Then you boys bring this to the table... Damn, Universe. Wow.
Glad to see the Jag getting brought back to life! It'll be a beast!
Hell yeah I love those unimogs several years ago this guy wanted to trade one he had for my boat I said no at the time but I have wished I traded him more than once since.
Heck yes, Jag rebody please! Such a cool build
By far that is the coolest vehicle you guys have ever bought can't wait to see what you guys do to it great show
That thing is sweet and still say that you all are the ones having the most fun on UA-cam and I'd love to do what I love like you all and get paid for it.
Thats so funny i saw this on facebook marketplace. It even came with a trailer! glad you guys got it.
jeep made a copy of the unimog. it's name escapes me right now, but our neighbor on the farm down the road had one when i was a kid. it looked very similar to the bundeswher unimogs i saw when i was stationed in germany in the 80's. they used it to push snow, and runs out to the field for lunch and equipment repairs when they were working on their farm back before the days of side by sides.
You guy's have way too much fun, love it!
I would love to see the "Mog-juar"👍 can't wait for it
Looking forward to your mods on the Unimog.
but i do suggest this since it is a utility based vehicle. get a box body suburban body from the junkyard and slap it onto the frame. also while your at it, change the gear ratio in the axels so it can be used for highway travel and off road
9:34 that A-pillar though!!!!!!!!
it's trippy watching the van body go through the woods without seeing the chassi
Great idea, swapping in the Jag body! I'ts going to look awesome! And I'm not saying you shouldnt do it but the minivan wouldve been a lot safer than the Jag's gonna be in case of a roll over (God forbid). You guys should do some kind of a roll cage or exoskeleton thing. Remember the BMW wind-screen pillar that wouldn't crush even under the weight of the unimog? That's new tech while the Jag's old tech and will likely crumple like a cardboard box. IMO. But best of luck, can't wait for it to get done!!
I got that Honda’s dash workin!! I got the winch workin!! And the electric start!!!
The unimog. Not just the best truck but also the best all round vehicle. That's why they are so expensive. (And because they are mercs)
JaguMog!! This idea has my vote!
can not wait for the jagg body!
What the heck is that windshield frame made of wow! You could try attaching the transport points upside down unless that would make them hit the bottom of the body. Also I think you could use wider tires if not taller as well.
I'm PRETTY sure I saw this in a few groups.
I honestly love the mini van body on it. It's ridiculous. It's amazing. Minivans are dead now anyway for the average consumer, so it has a rarity factor to it lmao
Loved the logic in removing the windscreen, then getting towed behind the monster mog!😂
That Mini Mog is great! 👌
i love the idea of the jag going on it for a mad max look, but that old jeep truck in the back would be sweet on it
also def should throw bigger tires on it, and make it a real monster truck
Wider tires and rims are mandatory cause you know you are gonna turn it over and taller tires cause you have done hung it up on the frame. It would make a world of difference in it and make it safer
The Jag body is the perfect thing to put on it!
The ridiculousness of this "van", fits perfectly with everything else, love it❤
I just have one word-COOL!!!
Put that old orangeish truck on it! That'll be perfect :)
That’s a fun project. Hate the jag tho… my vote would be the old jeepster pickup, with like a long finned 40’s grill and round headlights. Also, what ever you put on it… I hope you drop the body to the frame. That gap is hideous! Hahaha
EARLY GANG!
Yes sir 🙏
0h ! Mandatory spacers and monster tires for this badboy. Jagzilla !
pro tip as a forklift mechanic, turn your tank off while not in use its only leaving pressure on the already weak seals in the lpg regulator.
I would say to drop the van body down a bit and wider tyres also make sure there's plenty of oil in the portal axles
super glad to hear you might use the jag body for the unimog, it would be sad to see the jag go to scrap
