I love my new 70-200 for street photography. Was an 85mm shooter before and love the compression and that you don't need to get too close to your subject 😅
@@jvstmo I personally have none! I shoot it on a crop sensor body, so of course there’s the discussion of losing sharpness but I feel my pictures come out tack sharp and I love the f4
Bought the old brick 70-200 2.8 recently for about half the price of the new one. Love it for day time shots - great workout walking 15km carrying it 😂
I got mine in a few weeks ago and so far it's my favorite pairing with the a1. I absolutely love how responsive it is and I can't believe how light it is too!
When you said “ah I don’t think that’s a good shot” at the beginning, I actually thought it was. Perfect timing with the car leaving the parking position
@@Pierretlambert You should come to Los Angeles once when you aren't so squeezed for time. There is a lot of neat stuff to photograph in the Los Angeles area.

Another great video. I love your work Pierre. Here's a silly question, throughout the video I have been trying to figure out what is that on the bottom of your camera? Looks like some kind of Tags or clip? Just curious. LoL. Again your travel videos are amazing.
just have to share, just got icredible deal on Olympus em10 mk3s with kit and also a 45mm 1.8 prime lens …. cant wait to learn with it! Your videos inspired me a lot!
Fantastic video brother! You always create such colorful vibes. Yea I took my 70-200 GM mark II out to shoot with my older A7SII. I wanted to see the lens performance on an older alpha and it was so Thuggish Ruggish good.
We love you lambert. Massive fan of your channel. Can I ask are you actually FROM LA? As soon as you went into Venice beach I recognised all the places because I watch a lot of youtube videos on it. Plus I'm planning to come there.
very good I watch many of your videos (on your both youtube channel) what could be nice : when you add picture you just take, with preset name, maybe you could add picture info : ISO, apreture, speed) continu in this way
Question Pierre, when you shoot people crossing the street do you hold down the AF-On button/Shutter button at the same time? Or Just focus on the person once at a time and just fire off the shots?
I think that in street photography the best way is to integrate the subject in the environment, and enter in the scene. Use a super tele Lens is "the simple way" because you not have to interact with the subject and the wow effect is in the simple bokeh and blur the background but in this way you play in a confort zone that not help you to think and act, moving you and your camera to compose the shot in the best way to photograph the real life in the ambient. This way is simple: point and shot. But it lost the ambient and the concept of real life (and compose it in the scene, that is the complication of real street photography), instead simple "stolen shots". I think that 28mm - 35mm - 50mm are the best way to make real street. These shots are good, but too closed, they lacks of an important part of the street life: the life in his environment.
Hi Pierre! I wanted to say thanks for your inspiring content by using the UA-cam Thanks button for a small donation, but I can’t see it under your videos. Is there another way to donate to you?
Hi sir I am your big fan I like your photography style very much My dream also a photographer but I am middle class Dream is dream is not a practical .............
I would like to see what Pierre is capable of in a city that is not photogenic. For example my city, Seville (in Spain). You are invited to come. Perhaps here your impressive photos would cease to be impressive. I would love to be able to photograph the United States... :( :snif:
Wondering why you don't offer to send photos to subjects who agree to a photo? Seems like that would be a good gesture to those who pose for you. For example, the girl you did a portrait on just a little shy of the 15 minute mark - those were some really nice shots.
@@DaMeng3000 he doesn’t need to respond if he chooses not to - but, once again, why is it your business if I ask a question? Maybe you need to get over yourself

A 70-200 is not even enough. I use a 14-140 on my gh5 that would be a 28-280 in full frame. It smokes the 70-200 for street and i want even more reach. A 200 is a joke.
