- I finally did it @dreamodeonlife4721. A movie that started a franchise I got sick of really fast. Though I'm honestly glad I rewatched it for this video, because this was way better than I remember. And yeah, CS really screwed up here.
Disclaimer: I don't have much ill will towards CinemaSins, I just want to point out the many mistakes they've made in their videos.

Ok ok, everyone's talking about me dissing the sequels, so here's the thing: I haven't seen them in years, but I just remember bits and pieces of them not being very good. I also remember my siblings watching these movies over and over again, so I just got sick of them. I don't care enough to re-watch them, but I'm fine if people like them, to each their own.
Oh, and I never saw the Buck Wild movie, but I have seen a couple videos reviewing it, and it seems like I'm not missing much
To be clear, I wasn’t speaking against what you said, I just wanted to share my opinions on them.
Let's see if Jeremy takes a cartoon at face value. 🤔
Less than two minutes in and I was right! 🤦🏻♂️
Missed SinSin:
11:33 Jeremy doesn't know how volcanoes work. Magma from deep within the earth gets pushed up, forming volcanoes. This lava obviously came from within the earth beneath the ice and is now melting it as it comes up to the surface.
12:36 Because he's not hiding the baby, it's riding on his back. The father just can't see it from his angle.
12:51 Manny isn't making a dramatic reveal. He's moving slow to show he's not being a threat and so the hunters can watch his movements.
It’s sad when Jeremy doing or saying anything makes Sid seem like a college graduate in comparison 😂
I'm pretty sure Manny slowly giving the baby back was a clear indication that he's not a mindless beast, I see it as Manny trying to show the humans that they shouldn't kill mammoths because they're just as intelligent and emotional, it was a gesture of peace, I don't think it was intended for "needless dramatic effect" Manny's ostensibly trying to save other mammoths from what happened to him long ago
I like all the ice age films rip to blue sky
Missed Sentence: Being tied up and forced to watch the Ice Age sequels ClockWork Orange style
Pretty great video! As much as I liked Jay Exci's running gag of "Jeremy is fine with a fictional being who can do human things, but when that fictional being knows how to do X thing, that's crossing the line," I'm glad that not only were you able to get more in-depth, but you also managed to do it without having to make the footage black and white when Jay sinned the OG video and said video was taken down by a copyright claim at the time. Also, I say this and the first two Ice Age sequels are the only good movies in the series, as the last two were bad, and do I need to say more about the Disney+ spin-off?
that trunk joke's pretty funny🤣
1:22, But Saber-tooth squirrels were discovered in 2011, 10 years after this movie came out so that wouldn’t be a fair sin.
I kinda disagree about the sequels of Ice Age, but I do see where you’re coming from. The first one had sort of a dark and more-simplistic plot structure focusing each of the sole main four and how the ice age had ruined their past lives in a way. That made the first film feel really special. Still, it is where it all began, and I thought it was fun ride from the first movie to its spin-off with Buck Wild.
Gotta expect some form of drop in quality when movies or shows go on for so long, but as long as the characters are still there, I like it!
Oh, and great vid here, you’ve made plenty good points!
Finally he gets to a franchise that I deeply care about
I agree, Diego didn't really have much of anything to do in the sequels, if he would've died here, it would've been more noble and completed his character arc, much like how Charlie should've died sacrificing himself in Critters 2 (1988)
Welp, you do have to admit, sin number 56 was a good one. Because yes, it would be quite a bit easier to get the baby if the mammoth isn't in the way.
Yep.
Another nice video. And there are two things I'd like to say:
1. When I am in my next request period (after I do Wish and all three Trolls movies), I haven't decided when I'll do this one, but like I plan to do with Kung Fu Panda 2, I'll leave another comment here when it's up.
2. In terms of what I think of the sequels, I like them (and yes, even Continental Drift and Collision Course), though the only exception is The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (which is a 5/10 in my opinion).
I find it funny how humans were erased from existence in the sequels.
Literally though. And that necklace thing that the dad gave to Manny to remember the baby? He apparently just lost it at some point
Jeremy should’ve gotten more sins for sinning the cave painting telling us Manny’s back story with no dialogue. Wouldn’t that be a good thing and be worth removing a sin or more for? Oh wait. I forgot. Jeremy, the guy who claims to be all about good story telling, fails a lot at figuring out good story telling like he fails at everything else.
@Captain Vader, great video
Next Ice Age 2 the Meltdown and Rio
Missed Sin: *Jeremy calls a group of sloths dumb* That’s racist…..I mean speciesist….. 😂
I get that the Ice Age movies are kind of hit-or-miss with some people but I have been a closet Ice Age fan since childhood. I agree the first one is the best, but I also enjoyed 2 and 3 too (Buck is the best character) and 4 is a guilty pleasure of mine. 5 absolutely stunk and I never bothered to watch the Buck Wild spin-off on Disney+
Also it's funny you mention Diego dying since he originally was supposed to die but the children in the test audience did not like it so they changed it at the last minute.
Could you do ice age 2 next? Followed by robots.
4:47, funny but I disagree about the sequels
13:39, it was originally shot that way but focus groups wanted him to survive
6:14, I’ll grant you that but even so Scrat is the best part of Ice Age. Not just this movie but the entire franchise. My point is, Scrat is great.
Don't diss Ice Age 3 :(
No, I get it, it does have dinosaurs.
Ok, I'm really afraid that came off as rude, it wasn't. I respect your opinion👍
@@captainvader921 No worries! I just personally really enjoy the movie, specially Buck and the giant Baryonyx :D
if im being honest, the point of cinemasins is just to point out things which dont make sense, cinemasins does that so why try and say they dont make sense, of course the point of a cartoon is that it DOESNT make sense but cinemasins ENTIRE premise is that it doesnt matter, also you sound very angry talking about this stuff, tone it down a bit
I don't try to sound angry, aside from a couple times where I think it's warranted. I always try to talk with energy, not that I'm reading off a script, or just really monotone. Maybe I do try a little too hard at times, but I promise you, me sounding mad isn't on purpose most of the time
@@captainvader921 you completely ignored the main point of my comment and focused on the small part at the end, great job
@@AlphaJayOng ok, if you want me to engage with the whole thing, why is CinemaSins pointing something that intentionally doesn't make sense fun? Them questioning cartoon logic is dumb, because it's not trying to be realistic, so it's all for nothing basically. The point of my videos is to say the things they say about these movies are wrong. It isn't just cartoon logic, they also lie and manipulate scenes, and prove they don't pay attention to the things they're making money on. I'm fine with the premise on paper, but in execution, they flunked it up. Occasionally, they say something correct, and I sometimes give credit where it's due. But for the most part, they don't.
Everything wrong with everything wrong with etc etc: intro is lame and wayyy too fuckin long
