- Unique Welding Art - Watch how welder and plasma cutting metal sculptor, Owen Dixon, turned this discarded metal and canoe into a one-of-kind piece of welding art!
"The actual cutting process with the torches becomes almost meditative after a couple of hours of cutting. You’re literally wearing blinders, and all you can see is a spark in front of you. It gets into almost like a Zen state." Owen said.

Omg yeah one of the most attractive professions a man can do! Its so beautiful and very tough to learn. Not everybody can do this! Ive seen it at school. I was more good in wood craft. I tried with my friends at school. I'm very handy but i couldnt do this! Oh wow i would love some welded art in my home! Thnx beautiful video!❤

Your couldn't be more on point about getting lost in the process.. We got to do a decent amount of FCAW welding in a recent intro to welding course. Without a doubt there was a specific technique called pooling that was not only crucial to the process ensuring you made a good weld but also had a very artistic element to it. I was immediately enamored by this technique.
Quickly I was taken into a transcendental state, my concentration fixed as I was consumed in a galaxy of colors. At first glance and to the uninitiated what appears to be completely amorphous is in actuality the structural essence of innovation and vision. And you know this if you know this because it is elusive and as fleeting as your lifetime run. Wonderful work and inspiring to me as I jump into the fire myself Owen.
