I felt like a better background would’ve been the field. I looked at your website and you have some phenomenal photos! Just wondering if these how to videos is just informational compared to your actual work. Thanks.
Can you explain how and what fill light is and if the settings are different between both strobes? This video is great!
For the lighting will godox v1 work well in outdoor harsh sunlight ?
Awesome
Obsessed with your videos. Question for you: I struggle with exposing for the sky and then adding off camera flash. I seem to always get grainy photos when I try this technique.. help?!
Do you aim for 150-200 shots in total to give to the client or is that how many shots you usually end up with before you edit?
A few questions! How far back were the lights! Also what were the light settings at?
Great info with poses and number of shots. I never thought of that way with full, mid and close. Thank you very much.
Nice work Matt!
Cool process, surreal dramatic images! Have you considered placing a reflector on the ground close to your model to reflect more light to the body
So much effort, and such a bad result. Hard light gives harsh shadows, the model looks much worse.
Do you always use two strobe lights on every shoot? Do you use just know if you are just getting started. Also what lens are you using during your sessions?
What do u get if u only have 1 light?
Damn its so humid feel tge humidity thru the screen 😫 sucks for you.
Do your deep focus reflectors stack on each other well for storage? None of my reflectors stack which is a pain. I was playing around with normal 7” reflectors and was surprised to find out my octa softboxes with no diffusion was like half a stop to a full stop more powerful. I probably need to play with distances more was probably 8 ft away. It’s kind of a pain to test but think I need to pull the trigger on some deep focus for daytime shots. Been trying to play with compositing shots off of our trampoline and even with 2 600s was struggling getting enough light during the day from the distance. I think the focus could probably help dramatically.
"I don't want to have to wait 30 min to come up with a good joke". Pure Gold!
Been following for ages! Glad you are back!
Great to see you back on UA-cam Matt! Love your work.
love your videos! Keep them coming!
Do you ever shoot your posed shots HSS?
