Was this actually Anthony's last performance? A great match although I do feel that Beattie's victory was under appreciated by the local Michigan fans. He also deserved a standing ovation if you ask me.

It wasn't his last, he un retired somewhere in 1996 or 97. Earl was my idol growing up, and this telecast was important to me.
I wonder why I never saw Suzi Anthony at Earls senior matches? She was always there for his 41 titles. I always loved seeing her.She is a cutie.
