Thank you for this review. I also saw in looking at the specs that this Ronda movement has a power saving mode. If you leave the stem pulled out, there is a roughly 70% reduction in power consumption. I think this is a cool feature since this watch will go in my rotation and will save power while it's sitting in the case. Won't have to replace the battery for a while.
Just received mine. Very impressed with the look and feel so far. It feels surprisingly well-built/solid for the price. Loving the very quiet quartz movement and the novelty of a gliding friction bezel. The colour tones are perfect. Agree that a screw down crown with 100m WR and a slightly sturdier clasp would improve it still, but that's about it. Hard to argue at this price though. Would like to see a brand at the Longines/Tudor price point release a GMT in closer to these dimensions!
The dimension are so nice, part of the advantage of Quartz! I was also surprised by the build quality. Timex nailed this one. I hope to see them release it in more colors!
I have one of each of these. It's hard to argue that both the Q Timex and the Q Timex GMT are anything but marvellously styled. But what no UA-cam review I have seen mentions - including this one - is the problem with the time setting. After I have carefully set the minute hand, when I push the crown back in, it is almost guaranteed to jump forward or back by up to 2 minutes. This defeats the object of the hacking feature: What is the point of having synchronised seconds if your minutes are wrong?
Excellent review...thanks. Do you have any idea when they will be issuing other color combo bezels - would love a "coke" bezel (black/red) as I already have a pepsi version GMT from another maker.
I have seen a Batman (blue and black) but it was offered from another website, I'm not sure which site however. They will defintely come out with my colors, but I would guess they will wait ~6 months to do so.
I was ready to propose the Phoibos, way better in my opinion, but you showed it at the end. Plus (the famous), "It"s a matter of taste" said the monkey and ate the soap....!!!🙊🙈😜 Cheers Jason, enjoy this one. Good review as always. Be well mate.
Thanks for always watching and commenting - yes, I'm trying to mention comparable watches more often now. I didn't realize that Phoibos GMT is back in stock, I might review one because they look awesome!

That is really cool, I had no idea! Thank you for the tip!!
Great review. Love what they've done with these. Will definitely pick up the grey/black when they're back in stock. Cheers Jason, all the best to you.
All the best to you as well - thanks for watching :)
Timex has been coming out with some jewels lately.
They are on a roll. I got their new Waterbury diver too, review on that coming soon :)

Wait until you scratched and scuffed the crystal because it sticks up way too high with no protection. I did mine and it looks nasty now.
Very cool watch. Awesome review, thanks!
No problem, thank you for watching :)
I just bought one recently at Costco for under their listed retail, great bang for the buck 👍🏼
Oh nice, cool they had them at Costco!
Going wait a long while (probably Christmas or early next year) but it's on my wish list 👍👍
Smart, I think the black and blue bezel will be out by then - I think that one will be the best!
Nice Video! Still waiting for mine to arrive :D
Awesome, I hope you enjoy it when you receive it!
Great review! I got my Pepsi one last week. Are you having any issues with it running slow? Mines lost over a minute over a day.. 😅
Mine just arrived. Its really cool. The only thing that bothers me is how easily the bezel moves. Do you find that too?
yes! friction bezels annoy me for that reason, but on the upside you can always get them perfectly aligned :P
Do you know when they are releasing more?
I do not :(
I am sure they will, and probably in more colors too!

Oh wow, yes that is super frustrating. I don't recall if mine had that issue. I have that issue on my Sercia and it drives me crazy!!
Nice review as always. Do they do the Batman version?
Yes they do man.
I have seen pictures of it, it just wasn't on the website yet! I think that would be my first choice of colors if it was available!
How to set the gmt time on this?
When you click the crown out once, one direction sets the date and the other direction moves the GMT hand.
Not GMT hand but Hour hand could be rotated independently to the GMT hand !!

How loud is the ticking? Some Timex’s quartz watches are annoyingly loud.
Yes, I have had that problem with Timex Quartz watches, this one is thankfully not loud.
What a badass watch
Agree, Timex nailed this one!
Is it true that the gmt hand runs behind?
I don't have this watch anymore, but it seemed perfectly aligned while I had it.
The GMT hand will do 1 full rotation every 24 hours.
I want one
Don't pay over retail! :)
The crystal sticks up way toooooooo high. Very easy to scuff and scratch… to bad.😢
Good point!
a 24 click bezel would be gerat.
Missed opportunity for sure.

I have the Q Timex and it's a great beater watch but the loud ticking is sometimes annoying.
Does the Swiss movement in the GMT still tick loudly?
Yes, I have had that problem with Timex Quartz watches, this one is not loud.
First
Damn, i missed the fiesta this time! Be well mate, cheers!
You never miss :)
Very nice.
Thank you! Cheers!
