This is an awesome drill, because (as you've shown) you can continue to add conditions until you reach your ceiling. I ran something very similar in a class with a well known instructor. Every round we either added distance or movement until everybody failed. Most of us failed out when there was a short movement (maybe 10 yds) to the 'firing box' and 10 shots on a paper plate at 25yds. I would have thought going in this would be easy, but I threw a shot or 2 running it, just like everybody else. This is a really good drill for learning the upper end of our personal firing tempo/site height over bore . I've worked on it since then, and I'm definitely faster then I was when first introduced to this 'easy drill'.

The point you made with the reticle, brain signal, and shooting was a great explanation. Helped me figure why my shots where low like you said.
