@AviationRepublic Nod...instantly recognizable.. and always thrilling to hear 🙂 Aa little Vulcan trivia ...Gerry Anderson's sound team used recordings of the Vulcan for some vehicles in their shows..including Supercar and Thunderbird 2...remixed in some cases but you can still tell. I don't think they ever used the howl tho...probably too recognizable 🙂
Of course they wouldn't ditch a Real Vulcan on the Bahamas Bank..... I remember that movie well. I saw it when I was about 8. Since then I've dived Thunderball Cave at Staniel Cay, Exuma, The Bahamas. Club Thunderball is located there and has a lot of photographs of the production of that movie. Of course I built a model in of the Vulcan. A Wicked Looking Warplane! Like the B-52, it has a look that says: "I Mean Business." We Americans remember Vulcans breaching our air defenses, during exercises, on more than one occasion. NORAD was not expecting that and they did not like it one bit.
I do wonder how the avro 707 test bed aircraft would have behaved at a high angle of attack trials with the dorsal air intakes. I would have expected air flow disruption to cause flameouts. 😮
How different the 50s would have been, if the British had been able to to tell the USSR and the USA to F off. Then keept the British jet engine tech to themselves.
Hmm we gave it all away, the jet engine was only the start, we then binned great British tech for cheaper non working US stuff! The Tornado used much tech from TSR2 and if we had built that I'm sure it would still be in service now as the B52 is, and what sort of jobs would it do upgraded over the years. 🕊🤔
Rule Brittania only gets played at 'Last night of the proms' we Brits don't break into song as you suggest it's 2024 not 1944 get with it my my common wealth friend 🕊
First five seconds earns a like...just for that Vulcan howl!🙂👍
Nothing beats the howl.

Agreed!
It appears that I am the first to view this piece of cinema, so I therefore must leave a comment describing my achievement.
Thank you, soon you shall be rewarded, hint, hint, say no more.... :-) Joe
Another excellent video Joe. I look forward to seeing part 2. Keep up the great work.

The model used in the film was smaller but quite accurate, and also one of my favourite movies. 😎🕊
Very good. And yes to the Valiant. 🙂👍
Thank you, Valiant is on the list. :-) Joe

Yes, there where issues with the dorsal air intake from what i read.
I am interested in submitting some vulcan stories, i'll email you later on.
Please by all means, email is in the description. More than happy to include stories, unless you want to write a complete script ;-) Joe
I saw a Vulcan many years ago do a flyby at the Cleveland, Ohio Airshow. Impressive
not human words.
all work and no play make jake a dull boy
Got to work, need to pay those bills :-) Joe
3:14 “myassis chapped” long range bomber? 🤔
I need to work on Russian pronunciations - :- ) Joe
It just jumped out at me and for some reason it made me laugh! I found it very funny! I’m watching your video right now!
@@trainnerd3029 He didn't say 'chapped'. He said 'chev'. He pronounced it correctly, I'm not sure what's funny
@@endi3386 ok…. “my ass is Chev”
For ten minutes, we have not seen the advertised Lincoln. All we have seen is the Shackleton Mk 1, and some fussy Lancaster footage.
How different the 50s would have been, if the British had been able to to tell the USSR and the USA to F off. Then keept the British jet engine tech to themselves.
Ohhh, how many discussions I've had over this subject, too many.
