@JesseJames-kv7xc Have to be. This is a Hail Mary project that was highly dubious when similar things were government funded 60 years ago. There’s nothing that’s going to change the laws of physics barring some absolutely insane breakthrough in energy density and materials strength. Going fast costs an insane amount of money.
This was absolutely awesome! Please don’t shy away from these calm, matter-of-fact, technical videos. No music, no manufactured drama, just perfect. Thank you!
Amen. I'm sure Geppetto's very nice, but I really don't need to hear about how he made his first paper plane when he was 6, and watching it soar across his backyard he knew he wanted to blah blah blah...
By far the best content yet from your remarkable program! I love the commentary and calm, cool, disciplined flight test procedures. Onward to and thru supersonic!
Really awesome to see the whole flight (almost). I’ve been flying for 35 years, 26 professionally. Never ashamed to admit this kinda stuff is exciting for me!
Absolutely fascinating, thank you for allowing us to see your progress even when this is clearly a development phase. As a corporation this is an incredibly brave thing to do and I'm grateful for you doing so. Good luck and clear skies.
I've watched this like 10 times already and will watch it again. I'm a 40 year old airline captain and hope that my airline one-day buys what ever the final product is. I would love to fly it one day.
This was fascinating, and the kind of coverage I'd hoped to get the chance to watch on the test program of his aircraft. It's truly an honor to be allowed to share this experience vicariously, watching and hearing the pros at work. Very grateful, and looking forward to seeing and hearing more.
My family used to own a ranch near EAFB. Growing up, my brother and I would always catch site of something cool in the air. We were there during most of the shuttle launches. Sadly, we sold the ranch in 1998. Wish we still had it so we could watch all this taking place. 😞
I hit like because "Wow that was an incredible look into this awesome program" wasn't an option. As a fan, I can't thank you enough for such a deep dive into a test flight. The footage and insight was amazing! Please keep that up as often as you can ( I fully understand that doing that for every flight is likely unrealistic ), but wow that was awesome!
I don’t because I’m not independently wealthy yet. I still need to have a job tomorrow. What’s cool is that bombing around low level at 200MPH feels faster than going supersonic up in the flight levels.
It is interesting to look at 6:38 and the angle of attack. This bird really wants to go and it appears like it is being held back. They have reached their ceiling limit and they are running tests, but have a very high angle at what is 'slow' speed. It will be great to see a flat angle at mach 2!
Please keep it coming. I love this content. I am an FTE for the military and I can never get enough of this. The format is perfect! So refreshing to see new technologies being tested.
As a fighter pilot who wrote off going to TPS, this is exactly the kind of video that needs to be put out to get people interested in test. Super interesting, good shit.
Awesome! Man, this is the sort of video we've been hoping to see! I hope the servo problem is really fixed by the vendor at the root source, rather than just patched.
This was amazing and I am not even a pilot or aviation nut!! Its a great lesson in what it takes to be great at something and not brag about it, so refreshing to see top level professionals just going about their jobs...
This was the most incredible and interesting video I've seen so far on experimental airplane testing. I particularly enjoyed the cockpit view, the absence of music, and the comms. Also, I know this is a powered plan, of course, but for some reason, the view from the cockpit looked just like the view from the gliders I used to fly. Happy times... Thanks and keep them coming!
this is super interesting to see the testing phase of a new aircraft...beautiful aircraft in beautiful skies...cant wait to see the first BOOM when you get to cross into the supersonic...
I've watched a million UA-cam videos but I've never seen an audience reaction like this. The comments are incredibly positive. While it's a different day and time, this feels a little like being in the cockpit with Chuck Yeager and Bob Hoover (and many others) during the Bell X flight test program. Great job. The world needs more of this positive and exciting type of content.
One thing about modern flight testing, is how careful it is done nowadays. In the fifties, they used to brag about going supersonic in the very first flight.
So much respect to all involved! This is history in the making. Our nation is rich in aviation development and this reminds me of books I’ve read of the many wonderful test pilots and experimental aircraft of the early 20th century. I often take for granted the work that has gone into flight experimentation as I sit back in my comfy captains seat flying my transcontinental flights with my 200 passengers relaxing in the back of our aircraft. Great work guys!
This is brilliant, I actually never seen such a rare document where you get to see test points being performed! And what stunning footage too! Thank you for bringing us with you in the cockpit and explaining the test points :) Looking forward for the "boom" test flight. Best
I hope you continue doing these videos over additional test flights. This was an amazing video and makes me even more excited to work down the street from ya'll in Denver.
Excellent video. Nice clear cockpit video, excellent exterior shots from chase aircraft and superb narration. It was almost like you took me for a flight in the aircraft. I look forward to more like this - just awesome! 👍
Bloody Awesome. To see the test process laid out and explained so succinctly, this will give people confidence in the company, products, and safety standards, when buying a ticket to ride on the final product.
What an absolute joy and privilege to watch. We've sure come a long way since the days when I ran my dad's VCR warm watching tape after tape of VHS cassettes with recordings of various aviation documentaries!
As an English lad that on the wrong side of 50, I'm so happy that someone is trying to follow on from where Concorde left off. Good luck to you all - hope all testing goes as planned and everyone stays safe!
Awesome video. Thx so much for the insight into your testing. Godspeed for the rest of the test flight campaign and getting the business off the ground!
wow this is completely unlike titans "test" program. well done Boom and good luck with the testing im sure there will be many hurdles to pass but you realy seem to be on it. big love from uk.
Glued to the screen? I was Super Glued ! This is the best vid of it's type I've seen - ever !! Loved the comments from Mr Sheryka when the 'Gobblkedegook became a little too much. Please, please give us some more of this ! Grüß aus Deutschland.
Dear Boom UA-cam admin
This is the content we want and will watch
This is it. No music, comms feed included, SME narration, excellent footage. Boom, keep doing this, please.
Yessss!!
Absolutely! Best video yet (by a wide margin)!
Yes, please and thankyou to the Boom team!!
👍 Please more!
As a pilot, this is EXACTLY what I want to watch. Unedited comms, PFD, MFD views, and descriptions of systems tests. Awesome.
but i still think is very reckless don't have a ejection seat.

Bang on. 👍 15:17
No loud rock music or fast cuts, just a clear presentation of what goes on. Great vid.
that would have rendered it useless almost.
Holy hell a 20 minute video, rejoice!
Post watch edit:
Loved the narration and explanation. Very very interesting and entertaining content!
This was awesome; more feature length videos like this, please!
As an aviation enthusiast this is the kind of raw videos I like to watch about developing a plane that will possibly make history. Thank you!
By far the best content yet from your remarkable program! I love the commentary and calm, cool, disciplined flight test procedures. Onward to and thru supersonic!

Great fun for the pilot no doubt. Where’s the sober judgement on whether or not a flying gas can SST would destroy your airline?
Thank you -- great video for us old aerospace engineers to enjoy! Please keep 'em coming, and good luck!

This is awesome to see test engineering at work. Keep up these videos!
Lets go! If you don't want to immediately go work for Boom after seeing this, you don't have a pulse. Such stakes, such professionalism.
I don’t because I’m not independently wealthy yet. I still need to have a job tomorrow.

Oh, they did go supersonic that day, and they made some pretty good bangs.

As a pilot and instructor, KEEP. THIS. CONTENT. COMING!!!!!
This legit feels a LOT like the intros in ace combat 5 or some other game in the series.... so iconic
Yes! This is precisely what we're all craving. Perfect format. Do not change!
This was amazing to watch. Please keep uploading these!
More of these please!!!! It legitimizes so much. Just that gorgeous wind noise would be better than music. Love Nick's narration too.
Any upload shorter than this should not get takeoff clearance!!
