    What a fantastic introduction to guitar theory. I honestly can't thank you enough for these videos. Everything is presented so clearly and demonstrates how the theory applies to the guitar itself. I've looked through a lot of videos on UA-cam about introductory theory and have yet to find anything nearly as good. I can only hope you reach a wider audience. Thanks again.

    Chad. Thanks for all your videos.
    On the last section of this lesson, you talked about using arpeggios (arpeggiating a chord) to play chords. How is this done? What are the patterns if any? and Do you have videos on this topic?
    Much appreciated!

    • @Moveforwardguitar
      @Moveforwardguitar  7 років тому +1

      I don't have any vids showing patterns. You can come up with your own or try searching for them online. I just come up with my own though. Just try using your ear and seeing what sounds good. Thanks! -Chad

  • @Damian-nd8he

    Great lesson, fantastic explanation Chad!. Anybody can tell me how those arpeggios work when I change the chord and not only stay in one chord as Chad was showing?, I guess I can still play the same notes of the scale but the stronger notes (the ones I can land and stay) are going to be notes from whatever chord I am playing, am I right?,
    Thank you again!

    I know of A major and A minor but how on earth do you play an A major 7 chord?

  • @walterobrien467
    @walterobrien467 5 років тому +1

    Chad? is it more like a triad right?

    • @Moveforwardguitar
      @Moveforwardguitar  5 років тому +1

      Triads can be played as arpeggios (one note at a time) or as chords (all notes at the same time). But there are other arpeggios too (7th chords etc...). An arpeggio is just a chord played as single notes. Thanks! -Chad

    • @walterobrien467
      @walterobrien467 5 років тому +1

      Move Forward Guitar so arpeggio are notes that are played in rapid succession rather than playing simultaneously?
