  • This is probably one of the strangest and most interesting places we have ever visited. In the birthplace of Neil Armstrong (Wapakoneta, Ohio), we explore the Suburban back yard of Jim Bowsher, self-described "master" of the Temple. Welcome to the Temple of Tolerance. He has spent 25 years building a very strange, yet very relaxing museum of 'stuff' in his back yard and is open 24x7 to the public. However, you'd never know as the house is just a plain old house in a plain old street. Come with us as we explore in awe at his creations!

That is so cool. You guys do find the most interesting and unique places and people.
It is also a theory that pyramids and obelisks were power stations and wireless transmission systems.

Interesting place. I would definitely spend a couple of hours there if I were nearby. It reminds me of a place I did a video on recently called Cabot’s Pueblo Museum in Desert Hot Springs, CA. Small, but packed with great history. Thanks for a great video and safe travels to you both.👍🏼😎

What is the purpose of an obelisk?
Scholars believe that obelisks represented eternity and immortality, and their long, tapering form functioned to connect the heavens and the earth. Their pinnacles were typically covered in gold to reflect the sunlight. So there you go! Really enjoy your videos. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.

Toni and I LOVE places like this! I'm assuming you use Atlas Obscura to find these kind of things, but on the slight chance that you're not, you need to Google Altas Obscura. It's basically a clearing house for all of weird and wonderful oddities that you can visit, we use it all the time. Thanks for sharing this place! Have a lovely new year!

The urn is commonly believed to testify to the death of the body and the dust into which the dead body will change, while the spirit of the departed eternally rests with God. The cloth draping the urn symbolically guarded the ashes.

Been to Wapakoneta many times and never new, thanks so much for sharing.
I will say if anyone reading, this town is right off I-75, so if traveling that corridor check it out.
Wish we had more time traveling to Florida, would give it a go 😊
