    Nice review, Dude! And thanks for the shoutout! 🙌😁
    I still love my MF500! I always recommend them for beginners. My first pair are still rolling well. The liners are pretty much done, but everything else on them is just fine!
    I’ve been rolling these with the Rockin’ mixed 100/90 frame for months, and I thought it’d feel weird going back to a 4x80, but they feel really natural and playful to me! Would defo like to hook these up to a Rockin’ 4x90 though!👌

      I think the oxello and flying eagles are basically the same mold that's why the oxello are so good. And decathlon offers wholesale pricing that's why they're half the flying eagle price.
      Drawback on the oxello are 2 piece axles and 7mm spacers in the bearings instead of 8mm ufo spacers and axles
      But you guys swap frames anyway so it's doesn't really matter

      I've written a book about Decathlon Belgium a couple of years ago, and all the people I met, truly believe in the mission of making sports available to as many people as possible. They're aware they're not perfect, they've still got a lot of work to do to make the company more sustainable, but I've seen a company that is run by passionate people, not by managers trying to grab a bonus at all costs. For me, that's a good thing to know when reviewing a product of such a big company.

    I'm just getting back into rollerblading. I thrashed my K2 Camanos many years ago before I stopped skating. I never really got into learning about the different options back then but if I continue my push to get comfortable skating again I might try something different than the Rollerblades I picked up a few years ago but haven't used much until now.

      Ooh, seriously? That’s a lot of money! Three years ago, I didn’t know a thing about inline skating and I walked into the very store you see in this video. I did know I wanted to buy inline skates, but I had no clue whatsoever which ones. So I bought the cheapest fitness skates I could find for 50 euros. I put them on tried to make my way home. (Peak clumsiness, I can assure you!) That’s where it all started for me.
      There’s some snobbery about Decathlon skates, but I know so many people who bought their first pair over there and later moved on to established brands. Decathlon is awesome for getting people into the sport and I’m convinced the industry as a whole benefits from its presence. I hope there’ll be a lot more Decathlon stores popping up in the States, it would make the sport bigger.

While tmnt mutagen ooze color was awesome in the 90s those wheels were so soft you had to work your ass off to get going past 5 mph, and then you immediately slow down and trip over every pebble and crack and felt like you're skating on sand and had to get new wheels every 2 weeks because of how soft and easily they wore out. I had no idea they made wheels like 88a spinners or hydrogens that you can roll over rough stuff and still keep your momentum going. Total game changer, a hard boot and hard wheels make.

    too bad Decathlon closed its doors around my area in New England USA. I have my eyes on the twisters and endless 90 setup though. Would you recommend I just go for the endless 100 and skip the 90's? I know it's OT thanks!

    • @TheRollingRaptor
      @TheRollingRaptor  Рік тому

      Nah, I definitely prefer a 4x90 above a 4x100. The Endless 100 may be a bit faster, but it's also less swivelly. With its 273mm wheelbase, the Endless 90 still offers a lot of stability for riding stairs and jumping gaps, but it's also very agile. Almost feels magical. A rockered 4x90 is my favourite allround setup.
      If you'd go for the Endless 90, do take the Low Ride version, which is lower than the normal version, giving you more control. If you're still not sure whether 4x90 or 4x100 would suit you best, then maybe have a look at the Rockin' MIX4 100/90 frame.

    Hi Tim. Would you recommend the MF500 or MF900 for a beginner?

    • @TheRollingRaptor
      @TheRollingRaptor  Рік тому

      Well, if you’re an absolute beginner, I’d recommend the MF500. The reason being is that the big 110mm wheels of the MF900 are a bit more difficult to get your posture right. Most beginning inline skaters suffer from pronation during their first months on skates, meaning that their feet fall to inside. With smaller wheels, it’s easier to correct that pronation and start to roll on the center edges of your wheels. But for me, the longer wheelbase of the MF900 is now more fun than the short 4x80 of the MF500.
