another fine job sir, both on the live sound and the wonderful video. always a pleasure to have our 5th band member along :)
Thank you beckwith! It is always a pleasure to mix for your guys, you have great music!!
@@stageleftaudio Having this kind of relationship with bands is priceless. It's one of the things I strive for, particularly with bands I work with often.
Great video!
Thanks!
I use the Drawmer DS404 and 201. They are amazing gates, they have internal and external sidechain. The internal sidechain has frequency dependent selection which works amazing on drums. 😍
The Drawmer gates are great. Thanks for your comment.
The musicians play great! Sounds good!
Thanks for your comment.
Nice video
Thank you!
Great work - keep the vids coming! Can you please explain the 4 ch gate? Thanks
Thanks for your comment.
Regarding the 4-ch gate, here's a video clip of the "beckwith" band (from Jan. 2023), where I briefly talk about the controls on that gate.

Hope this helps.
Another great video! Did you use any condenser mic(s) on the drums? If so, what location(s)? Thanks.
Thank you for your comment. A condenser mic was used over the ride, and one to cover the hat and crash.
"cans" being so strongly associated with headphones, and "drums" being so strongly associated with drums, really makes me scratch my head 🤪🤪
Thanks for your comment! "cans" - a termed I picked up in the mid 80's when I started getting involved with live sound. Headphones back then were not that good... we just called them "phones".
@@stageleftaudio that's fun :) And it throws off anyone who follows you on the mixer 😄I wonder what this guy was mixing? 🤪
