    Very good review. I'm purchasing my first bike ever, at the age of 60 and it's a 2014 Heritage Softail. I'm really hoping I never dump it.

    • @cssjuba101
      @cssjuba101 4 роки тому +4

      If you dump it don’t get your feelings too hurt over it. I totaled my brand new 2019 Harley 48 hours after I got it. 2010 heritage is much better for me. If you’re too worried about laying it down just ride back roads slowly for a few thousand miles and get familiar with the rig.

    This is the first one of your videos I have seen. I like your objectivity. You speak from a strong base of knowledge and understanding of what is good on a bike and what isn't. That tip about lifting the left floorboard to make it easier to reach the jiffy stand? Brilliant!

    Love the Heritage Softail, I'm on my second one, which is a 2017, the last year of the old style frame. Don't like the looks of the 18 and newer Heritage. you have a pretty bike which looks like its well kept!

    Wifey bought me my dream bike for my birthday this year 2018 Road King.... first Harley. Love your review, would’ve went for that Heritage, but wifey likes to go with me a lot and the Road Kings touring frame, shocks pushed me in that direction instead, not to mention that I got a really great deal and in the end it was cheaper then the heritage was. Ride on!

    I bought a 2016 heritage with 9k miles on. Paid 11k for it in private sale. Way better than 26k for a new one !! Anyhow…it’s been great so far. Very comfortable bike mostly due to how you sit down into the frame more. I was more comfy on the heritage than a road king

    I just picked up a 2007 and I couldn't be happier. I had a 2003 vulcan 1500 which wasn't awful for a single rider but adding the wife the bike wasn't happy., even with progressive fork springs and air assisted shocks the bike didn't like the weight. Now with the 07 Heritage softail the bike handles way better out the box for two people! And it sounds way better as well

    You've got a really beautiful bike there man, love the colour, blue has always been my favourite colour, I also have a 2015 model but mine is black, I've had it about 8 months. I bought it second hand from our local Harley dealer with a few accessories on it that were put on it by the previous owner & it only had just over 14 thousand kilometres on the clock (not quite sure how many miles that
    is, Australia uses the metric system so 5/8th of a mile equals 1 kilometre)so it only had a couple of services. (service intervals are every 8 thousand kilometres) so you could say that I bought a brand new bike that just been run in & at a better price, I intend to put a few more accessories on it over the next few years to reflect my own personality & make it my own & do a lot of traveling now that I have just retired. If I had bought my bike brand new straight off the showroom floor blue is the colour I would have chosen in your video it would have been nice to have seen a lot more of the bike if you had pulled the camera back a little little bit during the walk around to show the whole bike & maybe start it up & let us hear it running, apart from that great video & great bike, Harley certainly knows how to build em.

    Can you do a video on this bike as a first bike? I see a lot of mixed reviews. I am thinking of a heritage or sportster. Got my endorsement via msf but I am 6 1 and I would love to skip the small bike phase because my commute is 15 miles on an interstate.

      Sold the bike last summer, but I think it could make a great first bike. Remember the lean angle is only 28 degrees so take it easy in the corners. No reason it can't last you a life time. Sold mine because I had too many bikes, and that became my least ridden since I got into Adventure Bikes.

    I have a 2004 Softail and very similar to yours and it only has 4200 miles on it since I inherited it from my late step-dad.I love the bike, but when you mentioned the front brakes, do you sometimes hear the caliper/pads rubbing against the brake disc when your coasting in neutral?

    I noticed you have a wooden cross on the handle bars, I hope you know brother, that 3rd chapter, book of John, Jesus says you must be born again in order to see the Kingdom of God. I urge you to check this out as the alternative is eternity in the lake of fire. Yes that's what I said, hell was not made for man but for the devil and his fallen angels, but then Eve + Adam blew it, so God uses hell for His prison for you and me as sinners. If we make a genuine and humble relationship with Jesus Christ, and repent from our sin, we are promised eternal life with Him forever. Don't delay, today is the day of salvation. I don't know when I'll die, do you know your death date? Yes, the wages of sin is death. PTL!
