You had to have figured that a random ratchet strap tied to a shovel in the woods was crazy Kleeman..and it had to have some sort of ingenious idea behind it!
The golf ball bit was great. I laughed at that one. I find a golf ball, at least one, on nearly every job I do. Even in the middle of nowhere. Funny how I'm in Tennessee and you're in Indiana and the same things happen on job sites. When the teeth/blade hits the ground there is no telling what's going to roll out!!! Sam
Cap’n, WOW!!!! You’ve uncovered a rare Golf hatchery! I’ve never seen one… although the Lord knows I’ve planted enough eggs to start an entire civilization of Golfs! I’ve been told there are Birdies and even an occasional Eagle there… however I’ve only caught glimpses of them from across the stretch of green. Cap’n, you have to promise me one thing… you will not divulge the location of this brooding plot. Because if wind of this gets out every duffer and hacker out there will descend on it… and they always bring clubs!!! Promise? #savetheGOLFS
Camp site looks great. I saw some folks fishing in that creek on another channel, they didn’t catch anything but we know there’s fish in there. Congratulations to The Simon Family.
nice short pioneer road to a cool spot. I'm going to go back and count how many golf balls you found why? why not lol This road you put in would be what grandpa would put in when he was logging in Oregon to put the camper while out on the job and then act as fire watch. those were great time as a kid for my summer vacation. oh yes I was given the chore of lubing the D8 everyday and fueling it up with my twin. VBG keep em coming Cap
Someone has been hitting golf balls like crazy but didn't want to recover them from the woods! Access and camping area right by the creek is a nice getaway spot!
Hmm, gotta think someone in the past before all thar undergrowth and small trees grew in had a private driving range set up there. By the way Captain I noticed a golf ball you missed as you were turning your truck around at around minute 28. Luckily, Dirt Perfect can't say you actually did a major boo boo to the Ho 140. Just an easily fixed one that includes changing one hose that was already close to needing to be changed anyways. Anyways, thanks for the new episode to finish off my Sunday night UA-cam channel watching.
@@CaptainKleeman I would not either, but I know many that did in Iowa when I was a teen that did. To be young as stupid again and thought we was invincible, like jumping out of the top of the barn into was wagon of grain, being like butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid, was the life, it is a wonder we ever made it to 21!
Golf balls in the bush! Nice track to the creek - fishing hole as well. Lovely spot for a camp away from the rat race. Fun times ahead for all who make it to there.
Hi Mike! Your operator skills are pretty impressive... Might just give Letsdig 18 a run for the money... LOL! Where is the golf course? Lots of balls for a forest... Ron...
Hi again, there are two things I really enjoy about your channel that make it one of the best (in my opinion), 1) the endless variety, and 2) your effective use of the "fourth wall". That is a term from the theater, you might have to look it up, but you do it very well. Thanks
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Not sure if it’s intentional but I’ve been noticing for a while some letsdig18 brush clearing moves coming out in your videos, good job on expanding your skills on the smashcavator140. I cleared some land that had been let go and was surprised by the amount of golf balls that had spontaneously grown there. For all the years prior I thought they were man made, little did I know I had a golf ball patch growing in the wild. Looks like Mike my also have one. Wishing you and your family the best.
Plan so ry grass in the clearing at the creek. Lay "golf ball " size rock down the trail. Then coat with 53's. Good luck keeping strangers out. I would have pulled out the small trees along the bank line. Easyer the fish. Mabey a boat ramp?
The biggest Gar I ever saw was dead & washed up at the mouth of creek leading into the Ohio west of Vevay, it was huge. It had multiple hooks & leaders hanging out of it's mouth. It was probable 5ft long, so yeah, we decided to fish else where...
Captain good thing you picked up all those golf balls, that way you covered your tracks and DP won’t know that you charged him for some R & R😂 All serious here, DP picked the right operator to crack into this piece of land for the first time!! Nicely done Captain, your covering all the bases with your thought process🧐 Have a great week 👍🇺🇸
Garly, nice job Mike, A little bit fishy 😁, but looks like you were having a ball. Thanks for the trailblazing video. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
I really enjoy watching your videos. You come across as a hard working average family guy who knows the value of doing any job well while keeping that balanced with home and family. Thanks for sharing.
You did a really nice job cutting that road in. Any critics of what you did are idiots. At this stage, you’re not putting in a finished road, you’re cutting in a road. You’re using an excavator; for a finished road you need the D4. You seem to have uncovered an ancient driving range (probably used by natives long ago) and messed up the hydraulic lines on the Volvo, although I think DP did that long before you used it. I love your narration style. It’s as if you take us into your confidence, and, frankly, it’s the main reason I watch. You are never condescending; we see the real Captain in every video, not matter what’s going on. Thanks for another entertaining peek into a Day With the Captain.
Hey Captain, great to see a video demonstrating the ability of this size machine for clearing brush and the blade makes it so versatile and saves time, leaves a neat finish. I wonder your thoughts please on this 14t v's a 20t machine for this type of work with the added power and digging capability of the 20t would the larger machine limit you by it's size or be better, for general farm and serious logging work. Ideally with a blade but less likely to find 20t with blade but they are out there. The blade makes leveling a work pad so simple and quick. Finding the perfect machine s/h is really the luck of the draw, I guess you have to compromise. I'm not interested in zero swing but a counter weighted machine as they are more stable, like yours is.
It’s awesome! Perfect spot! Can’t wait to camp there!!
Glad you like it!!
this explains the shovel and ratchet strap gunner found laying in the woods very well thanks for that 😜
Wondered where that went
@@CaptainKleeman
Give Gunner a bottle of iced tea !!! 😉
You had to have figured that a random ratchet strap tied to a shovel in the woods was crazy Kleeman..and it had to have some sort of ingenious idea behind it!
Explains why NYAM can never find a sharpshooter when he needs one
How many golf balls did Gunner find???? AND WHY ??????
Love watchin that Volvo run. Jeep road looks perfect
Nice job Captain! Your one of the few that will acknowledge comments that we make. Always appreciated….

400 videos! Thats awesome!!! Looks like i was golfing in that area. Hit em everywhere but the fairway.

Pretty cool 😎 with strap and shovel Bud

You could see the last fish very well. Good dirt work. That'll be a nice spot for camping. Plenty of shade.
The 140 makes easy work of that trail :) looks good should be fine for a camp road :)
Boy will the high schools love you for the creek side keg party spot, and skinny dipping spot! I am sure they have already found the spot.
I wouldn't skinny dip with those gar! 🤣

Looks like a choice campsite…much enjoyment….
Good to see the main boss is happy.
Just got of shift and having my Cup of Joe and what a way to spend a Sunday morning. You started with a blank canvas and created a masterpiece.
Golf balls in the bush! Nice track to the creek - fishing hole as well. Lovely spot for a camp away from the rat race. Fun times ahead for all who make it to there.

I do like Your ingenuity and figuring out problems with what you have to work with
Thanks for the video like it and like camp road .
I hope DP puts up a short video with His comments about it. Looks great!
Thanks Russell

Thabks fir the entertainment buddy. 👍🏻👍🏻
Good Sunday morning Mike

Definitely
I'm impressed. You did a great job.
Great job! Sir! Thanks for sharing! 👍👌
Appreciate ya watching
Great video. Pretty cool how you know how to use all the equipment. Must be a awesome feeling. Thanks for sharing. God Bless.
Great looking road Mike. Now DP just needs to bring in the D4 and some chirt and he'll have a road that will last for decades.
Maple is a great hardwood, useful for all construction where a hardwood is wanted.
It is also a beautiful wood for cabinets.
That depends on what kind of maple it is. I think here in the midwest USA, soft Silver Maple is more common than any kind of hard maple.
I like the ingenuity of straightening the hard lines. Great video. Stay safe
Thanks Bruce
Hi Hi Captain, pleasant Sunday greetings to you and family from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Morning Lloyd!
Backpack cooler. Spot on.
Love it
I was waiting for captains face when he found a Titleist pro v1!

Great work Mike 🙂👍 🇮🇪
Awesome job on the path Captain Kleeman
Watch out DP probably set you up 🤣 on the lines.
I have always wondered where golf balls came from!!
They grow in the woods like mushrooms!
Organic
Looks like a nice piece of land nice camping spot
Ohoy there Captain 🔨🚒. A good job well done.
Hi Mike! Your operator skills are pretty impressive... Might just give Letsdig 18 a run for the money... LOL! Where is the golf course? Lots of balls for a forest... Ron...
The old Captain is getting some serious excavator skills! Thanks for sharing.
These kind of jobs are the fun ones. leaving the trees close to the road will make it have a canopy real soon be fun driving down that road.
If I didn't know better Ida thought I was watching lets dig 18 when you weren't talking! You're great at clearing also.
Good work there dude, Thumbs up...
Good job!! Getting better and better !! 👍🏼
Great work there Mike. Thanks very much for sharing.
Thanks Patrick
Great video demonstrating the use of mechanical advantage using a shovel and strap to straighten the steel hydraulic line.
Please please please make a t-shirt that says adjust your volume accordingly! Gets me everytime
Another great video, Captain. Keep up the great work
Great job, Mike! Nothing wrong with that road!
