love reclaiming trails like that. Can't imagine how long that would take by hand to clear some of that thick stuff. Nice work. That would be so much fun to be able to ride on trails again for the first time after being closed off.
I smiled at you clearing off the leaves from the air intake. I t reminded me of, when , several years ago I was using my lawn tractor on a blowy dry day suddenly no power! lifted the bonnet (sorry hood) found a compressed layer of leaves and dry grass packed over the intake. Ran a lot better when cleared!! Nice trails and work. Glad the owner was stoked over the result.
The biggest issue as you saw is keeping the branches cut back. Can't justify a articulating cuter for the loader. I just do it in sections every other year.
Impressive that you got through that without losing and or breaking something off the D4. With my luck it definitely would have turned out a lot worse. Nice trail.
Awesome job of clearing those trails with nothing getting broken on the dozer or you Captain. I imagine a couple of those ditch/creeks could use some pip with dirt on them to keep down the washouts would be a good idea but that's up to the property owner. Thanks for the Sunday entertainment.
Jump start trick. Hook the positive to the battery from the booster pack and ground to the frame. You now send all the booster pack juice to the starter not into a weak or dead battery.
Turn left at the big tree? That's a fine job you accomplished. Several times it looked like it was chain saw time. After seeing this video, I'm now subscribed. Carry on, Sir!
It's interesting to see forest clearing work without a protective cage. One can most likely get away with it for years, but a rogue tree can spring pole or act like a spear. Be careful out there.
I used to think that way too till you own them. First rain after you “rip up the trail” and half your top soul washes off the trail exposing rocks everywhere.
That was awesome to watch mate. Love watching that little dozer with all its power just chewing through whatever it comes across. I learned a couple of things from what you were explaining too. Your sense of humour is great and just makes watching your video even more interesting. Well done mate. Jason from Australia 🇦🇺
To spend a day in the woods seems really great, but to get paid to spend a day in the woods is truely awsome Mike. Envey from me but being in someone elses private space is a true gift to receive. I was thinking ,Was today the exhaust got redesigned, then you mentioned it and hay ho still as was, miricles do happen. Stay safe best wishes to the family.
Yeah I wish my longer would get back up there and start doing that for me again get rid of all those tops but that looks really cool great weather for riding too thanks for sharing
This was fun for us and bet for you also. You keep getting more equipment (backhoe) DP will have to start paying you cash instead of equipment exchange 😉
When i did towing and road service we had jumper cables made from heavy duty welding cable and a quick connect on the truck so we could jump start anything within 30’ of our truck. It seems to me that might be a good idea on the big green truck!
Well great video glad you were able to get the usual malfunction out of the way early with the sketchy dump truck! Then again if the D-4 broke you'd have a nice stroll on a new road out of the woods.
You will beginning to Work! But all Machine have Problem!! You must however the Repair that you can Work. Then You in a Wood clearing old Roads. A fight old Rotten Trees with the Caterpillar! OK You the Winner. Good Video from the Wilderness.
Hey Mike, I’m not one to keyboard preach but I will try to put it to you easily. All those limbs and sticks that just miss your face when driving the trails and when you are pushing into trees, those will make a good day end bad. You don’t want to be a pirate like me! I really enjoyed the trail video and I was ducking and dodging with ya! Stay safe!
Can see why you would get lost in there, I would be the same !!! It is safe to say you can see where you have been and no hoses were abused, take that as a win !!! Did get a few scratches from the fall, pleased I was wearing my safety specs this time !! 🤭
I’m starting to think you like the dozen work! Can’t wait to see the backhoe project get started. Clint said it just needed some TLC (and a hydraulic pump…lol). Doesn’t sound like too big a job for our favourite weekend warrior! Gonna be a handy tool to have at your homestead that’s for sure. Thanks for sharing Cap!
Time for some maintenance on the equipment there.glad to see your happy go lucky attitude mike does know how to pick your projects for you.great video.definitely made a difference on accessibility for land owner.great job even for a 👨🚒.keep doing your thing and on to the next endeavor.👍👍👍😎😎😎👨🚒👨🚒👨🚒
Sunday mornings with Captain Kleeman. Sixty years ago, it was Saturday morning with Captain Kangaroo. Both entertaining.
Bugs bunny and the road runner. :)
Don't get any better than that.
I was there. In black and white.
And…. Mister Green Jeans!
@@dennis2376 Flintstones and Jetsons 😂
Before retirement I really enjoyed working on trails in the woods and solving drainage problems, used to give a sense of creativity.
No exhaust hyd lines ok mirrors where damaged making this video. Thank you Mike for taking your time for entertaining us.
Thanks for watching
5 minutes with a chain saw would have made your life far easier with those 2 big fallen trees
Love the look of the land and trails!!!
Didn't have a chainsaw
Whoops there Captain 🚒🔨. Don't be depressed if you get lost.
LD18 got lost with a bulldozer a few years ago.
love reclaiming trails like that. Can't imagine how long that would take by hand to clear some of that thick stuff. Nice work. That would be so much fun to be able to ride on trails again for the first time after being closed off.

Nice trails and work. Glad the owner was stoked over the result.
The leaves will clog it up fast!
What a great day getting to play in that beautiful property.
Beautiful country and beautiful trails that you had made and opened up for that man that man job well done Mr. Kleeman
Thank you Gayle
Very nice work. Fun to punch a trail. Definitely something difference. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the Backhoe project.
Thanks Patrick
Nice piece of property and trail system, you got them cleaned up nice. Seems like a power saw would come in handy for clearing trails........
Saws are handy, dozers are easier
Everybody to lazy to use a saw anymore.
For a second there, I was scared that you were gonna get punked by those dead trees. Glad you showed them who's boss lol
we a littel over 500 acres worth of trails. lots of work each year keeping them open. love walking them.
It's a full time job I'm sure!
The biggest issue as you saw is keeping the branches cut back. Can't justify a articulating cuter for the loader. I just do it in sections every other year.
A mighty little dozer. The operator is impressive too.
Ain't nothing better that a fresh cup of ☕ with the Capt on a chilly central WI Sunday morning👍👍👍👍👍😺🤗🐺
💪
That was fun. You're right, surprised that the stack didn't get knocked off.
Great work Cap like your channel very much. I like the way you do things. Very down to earth. Keep it coming.
Thanks James
Impressive that you got through that without losing and or breaking something off the D4. With my luck it definitely would have turned out a lot worse. Nice trail.
No stack guard he was lucky
Great job cleaning the trails Captain Kleeman
Good morning Sir. The morning started off slow but you kept a positive attitude 😁
Good to see you
Awesome job of clearing those trails with nothing getting broken on the dozer or you Captain.
I imagine a couple of those ditch/creeks could use some pip with dirt on them to keep down the washouts would be a good idea but that's up to the property owner.
Thanks for the Sunday entertainment.
Definitely would help, don't think he wants to put that much money into it
Now you can get to work
Jump start trick. Hook the positive to the battery from the booster pack and ground to the frame. You now send all the booster pack juice to the starter not into a weak or dead battery.
Yes. Such a beautiful peaceful trail - nice work.
Thank you
Don’t worry Mike, what you do in the woods by your self is none of our business
Great job, looks like a nice area to work in. Thanks for the ride along sir.
Beautiful area for sure
Best office view ever.
Definitely 💪
Congrats Cap on another adventure of making some trails for the owner. The D4g Dozer did a great job..
You are showing skills this morning
One thing about cutting a new path through the woods is - getting slapped in the face a time-or-two! Great video Mike! Lee
Hahaha, it's inevitable
Good morning mike
Good morning Tom!
Turn left at the big tree? That's a fine job you accomplished. Several times it looked like it was chain saw time. After seeing this video, I'm now subscribed. Carry on, Sir!
Hey welcome to the channel! Glad to have ya
I was thinking the same about having a chainsaw along with a digging bar for lodged timber and some hand tools.
🤠 Mike, You are a trail blazer, nice one - Tim
Thanks Tim
Great job running the cat Captain Kleeman
Well Captain Mike, you sure polished that blade top to bottom and side to side. 😉😁
Like the video Capt on the trails .
Thanks Leo
Welcome to the Jungle, awesome work Mike.
It's interesting to see forest clearing work without a protective cage. One can most likely get away with it for years, but a rogue tree can spring pole or act like a spear. Be careful out there.
👌👌👍👍 Nice job! A chain saw might have simplified moving those big trees. Just a thought. 😊😊
Nah, I would have still had to push them
A couple of chain saw cuts would have definitely made it faster
Ya found a widowmaker in there when clearing the fallen trees, good job of getting it cleared without letting it earn it's name.
Yup, have to pay attention for sure
Can't help thinking that a chainsaw would come in handy when dealing with trees across the track.
All the best.
David in Spain.
Nice face when you hit that hole on the dozer!! What a way to start off a new job, but Captain just taking it in stride, well done Captain 👍🇺🇸
It just wouldn't be a Captain video unless something was broken/didn't work. Well done - keeping up the score!
Thanks for watching
Great video Captain Kleeman
Wow what a great piece of Earth to enjoy. They got themselves a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of anything. Turned out nice ✌️😎
Beautiful property!
Cleaning up these trails was actually a pretty cool video. I can imagine racing through the trails on atv's
That would be fun
I used to think that way too till you own them. First rain after you “rip up the trail” and half your top soul washes off the trail exposing rocks everywhere.
I’ll agree that’s a lot of trails. Remember seeing the 450B on your channel from years ago.
WOW! Just gorgeous!
That was awesome to watch mate. Love watching that little dozer with all its power just chewing through whatever it comes across. I learned a couple of things from what you were explaining too.
Your sense of humour is great and just makes watching your video even more interesting. Well done mate.
Jason from Australia 🇦🇺
You have the talent and experience to make the best trails in the woods for the dollar, nice job.
Thanks
Nice job on the trails nice piece of land he has there
Beautiful property

Thanks Tony! Was definitely a beautiful area to work

CK: "had to deal with the creek bed...", Owner; "Creek bed, what creek bed, that's on my neighbors land." ;-D
😂😂
Build you a limb riser on your bulldozer from the front to the cab of your cat D4
Would be handy
Great video! Thank you for the upload.
Thanks for watching wendy
Tree work is a struggle with a small dozer.....congrats! Great job!!
Just have to slow down a bit and pay attention. Not too bad. Thanks for watching
Nice job there Mike.
Thanks Chuck!
Can't wait to see you work on the Ford 555, will be a interesting project. Good job like always. 😁
This was fun for us and bet for you also. You keep getting more equipment (backhoe) DP will have to start paying you cash instead of equipment exchange 😉

Congrats on the backhoe, can't wait for videos of that. Such a handy thing for around the homestead. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Ian

Oh the pain of being told to spend the day in the wood driving around🤪🤪👏👏👍
Just the worst lol
Captain great video, thanks for sharing! Kevin
Thanks Kevin
Great job Mike. Thanks for sharing.

That was a cool project to do. That D4 seems to be the perfect size for those repairs. Nice work!!!
Tristar Diggin'
Sam
It's a great dozer for this kind of job for sure
You're good at that, the trail looks great.
That looks like a fun project 😀
It was!
hello, I'm here from Brazil I have a machine here too
Well great video glad you were able to get the usual malfunction out of the way early with the sketchy dump truck! Then again if the D-4 broke you'd have a nice stroll on a new road out of the woods.
Great job Captian.
Thanks!
👍🏻👍🏻, looks like you had fun working this day.
Definitely!
That last section looked like a job for a Fecon mulcher head, on the TACO 😎
Would be handy!
I think you were blazing your own trail, nice going
Thanks peter
You will beginning to Work! But all Machine have Problem!! You must however the Repair that you can Work. Then You in a Wood clearing old Roads. A fight old Rotten Trees with the Caterpillar! OK You the Winner. Good Video from the Wilderness.
💪
My little Stihl and my 8n would also make short work of those trees. But I guess they had you in there anyway. 👍

Looks like it was a fun dozer job, Mike! I think it turned out great!
Thank you Rick
Can see why you would get lost in there, I would be the same !!!
It is safe to say you can see where you have been and no hoses were abused, take that as a win !!! Did get a few scratches from the fall, pleased I was wearing my safety specs this time !! 🤭
Homeowner was definitely happy with it
You are a pretty good trail cleaner. Great video buddy
Great job Cap!!

Thanks Dave
💪 Smash it down 💪 Well done Mike 😄

I’m starting to think you like the dozen work! Can’t wait to see the backhoe project get started. Clint said it just needed some TLC (and a hydraulic pump…lol). Doesn’t sound like too big a job for our favourite weekend warrior! Gonna be a handy tool to have at your homestead that’s for sure. Thanks for sharing Cap!
Looks fun
It is!
As always good to watch do you think Anderson connections would be a good idea on all the equipment that dirt perfect got!👍
The biggest issue with that is not every jump pack is gonna use the same size connector
Great dozer video 👍
Thank you sir
Thanks for the video. What is the average cost for doing this kind of job? Is it per acre or hour and how much? Thank you
At the end of the day....wonder if it will start?
Time for some maintenance on the equipment there.glad to see your happy go lucky attitude mike does know how to pick your projects for you.great video.definitely made a difference on accessibility for land owner.great job even for a 👨🚒.keep doing your thing and on to the next endeavor.👍👍👍😎😎😎👨🚒👨🚒👨🚒
Hard to keep up with all of it
Great video Bud!! Enjoyed it 👌❤️
Thanks Bobby
Another fun thing to do- How many times will the camera fall or be displaced during a video!
