I remember watching these videos during my application process, and, now, a little less than a year later, I’m here at Columbia! It’s so wild how things change and it’s weird watching this from the perspective of a Columbia freshman instead of a high schooler.

I took a summer intermediate macroeconomics class at Columbia(2001) the campus is amazing!!!!!! I loved it its just as nice as Princeton/Yale/Harvard

@@keremtuncer751 Barnard is a college under Columbia University. Students there can take Columbia College/SEAS classes and Columbia College/SEAS students can take Barnard classes. They also share sports teams.

I'm not sure about applying to Columbia this year because the Core curriculum has too many humanities and I'd like to major in physics. I liked certain subjects like philosophy or ethics, but I don't know how I would feel having to read a contemporary civilization presentation for tomorrow while I also have quantum mechanics homework. I feel the Core would drive my time and attention away from physics too much and make my undergrad experience unhappy. I would appreciate it if some of you STEM majors with big humanities curricula could share your experiences and maybe give me some advice :)

Arguably the best university in the United States! With Amazon HQ2 and Google HQ2 coming to NYC I don't see how anyone will be able to compete with Columbia academically speaking. Columbia's already STACKED faculty and student body will become the "murderer's row" of academia with the world's best engineers in its ranks.

I love how their is a lack of African American interviewers🙄 this would’ve been a great opportunity to get our perspective on Columbia especially considering that we are often overlooked. If anyone wants that perspective I currently attend and would be more than happy to inform.

LMAO The only person who makes the Colombia joke is someone who got rejected from the 3rd best university in the nation and the school with the 3rd lowest acceptance rate. How about you get into a top Ivy before making culturally ignorant jokes like "Wait Colombia or Columbia". The capital of the United States is named Columbia smart one. Our first national anthem was "Hail, Columbia". Next time you pick up a book actually read it.
I've watched about 10 of these videos. All are generic, all could be the same school. The students all look the same. Worse, the answers sometimes seem fed. What's the best thing abt this school? "The PEOPLE." What?? The answer should be "The Students." Kids dont say, "The people," unless fed.
