The ipad Mini A17 Pro would have been the perfect time for Apple to introduce a Smart Keyboard folio version for the Minis. Too much vertical space is waisted on all these 3rd party cases in the video due to the trackpads taking up much needed space.
I don't know why you aren't addressing the biggest issue with these keyboard folios. The iPad Mini Pro A17 is still very new, I know. But it has fingerprint recognition and most of these cases simply ignore that. They are actually made for the iPad 6 and companies are just labelling them as A17 as well when they are not up to par. I've already returned one. I would appreciate a review that addresses the issue of open and easy access to the key for fingerprint recognition and issues like the strange placement of keys, for instance apostrophes and quotation marks, which I use as a writer. The Doqo looks good and you even mentioned access to buttons on the side. But apparently the magnet is not very good (Amazon reviews) and unfortunately I ordered a beautiful leather case from Etsy for my iPad Mini and the Logitech is too long to fit into it - otherwise, I'd buy that one hands down. Please consider doing a review of iPad Mini Pro A17 keyboard cases that are fingerprint recognition usable. I've been searching for weeks and so wish Apple would make one themselves. Or even Zagg - which seems to have abandoned the iPad Mini for larger ones.
Was surprised at first and then checked out, it does have to be charged indeed and I honestly don’t like the proprietary magnetic charger option. I would prefer a typical type c that would only made sense. This is something that should have been mentioned in the video
I caught that immediately as well. And then adding and proprietary cable just adds in soap to injury. Wow. Hey, I do UA-cam videos as well and things slip by. What you gonna do?
I have the Artek keyboard case… after a while the holes that attach the case to the keyboard will get weak and break, making it hard to open and close.
I sadly bought that one & it's passable. Except that the on/off button is buried in the side of the case making fingerprint recognition impossible. It's actually made for the iPad 6 with a label and a claim slapped on it for the iPad Mini Pro A17. Had to return it.
We need a keyboard case where the keyboard unfolds into a full-sized keyboard. They already make folding keyboards so why not work that idea into a keyboard case?
Not a lot of people know about this keyboard, but the Logitech Keys to Go is also a good alternative. It is by far the lightest keyboard of all portable keyboards. You do need a seperate stand though, since the one included might not hold your mini. The keys themselves have a bit of a weird feeling (soft texture, probably rubber domes underneath it) and might take some time getting used to. However, if you want the lightest option possible, don't disregard it.
@@FishBeeProductions they just came out with a second gen recently too. I was tempted to get the first gen for a while but it had micro USB. New one is tempting but not sure if it'll fit into my small sling bag I can fit the mini in to. I have a folding keyboard/trackpad by Samsers, fits but it's a bit thick and the trackpad kinda blows. Did the ones you test work like official trackpads, or like mice with some faked multitouch stuff?

This! No one needs a trackpad for an iPad mini but we need more space for the keys!

Umm... the Hou keyboard case you most certainly have to charge, and you have to use their proprietary cable... Nice video though!

Was he maybe trying to say you don’t need to charge it…often?

Nice Options
I recently bought the OMOTON Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad on Amazon and am pretty happy with it. Cost: $20
Can you please do one for the m4 iPad Pro? I absolutely hate the Magic Keyboard.
The Doqo keyboard you linked to looks nothing like the one in the video
i have a snugg keyboard case
This compatible for iPad mini 7 ?
yes, 6 and 7
iPad keyboard needs the globe key. Any iPad keyboard without it is half-assed at best.
A BT keyboard that you don’t need to charge??? That’s crazyyyyyyyy
I think you do need to charge it... He might got that one wrong.
@ yah 100%. It’s got a MagSafe style proprietary connector. :/
