California’s Community Health Workers, Promotores, and Representatives

Healthforce Center at UCSF presents the results of new survey research that probes the experiences,
opinions and challenges faced by CHW/P/Rs, the institutions that train them, and the organizations that
employ them. Afterwards, a panel of CHW/P/Rs, advocates and representatives from the state
government discuss the current policy environment and how California can support and expand this
