Since first seeing Michael Wollny Trio at a little arts centre in rural west Ireland many years ago (thanks Music Network), I keep coming back to their music when I need musical catharsis, and to dance out some frustration, and just to worship at the shrine of art and human possibility with simple, wholehearted joy. This band have it all. I'm grateful to and for them.
I usually watch European concert on DWTV, and I usually hear those bands that play all the same. It's not about language; it's about not trying something that I hear as different. Today, I firstly came to know this trio; it sounds original to me.
Wow, how greatly he uses the big difference between silent, classical-alike and the most furious parts. It's a thrill to listen and I like how the loud parts don't at all overshadow the quiet ones
I thank YOU very much for having it posted! I simply admire the clear vision and masterful performances from Michael Wollny and his fine group of musicians, very very much º namaste

Can’t get enough of the Michael Wollny Trio, just unbelievably good, unique and a joy to listen to. Their album Nachfarten exceeds all.
Einfach nur genial! Schön, daß es Euch gibt
True masters of their art form; so great to see them in UA-cam. Our family listens to his album “weltentraum” often
Excellent playing
beautiful jazz , can't get enough of it

I just don't get how anyone would give this thumbs down???
Wenige schaffen es so wie MW und seine Mitmusiker mich in eine Stimmung hinein zu saugen. Das muss Kunst sein.
Genius
Bon dimanche à vous !!
If the bassist hasn't nicknamed his instrument "Big Red," then that's a lost opportunity for sure.
It is a pity that the sound is mono
The music has no natural space... it doesn't breathe, has very little real emotion and is almost entirely controlled by the head.
this criticism is controlled by the head - Wollnys music is like life... she steps forward and forward... and shows me the essence of life
