Congratulations my friend, you have discovered the greatest guitarist that ever walked this earth. I was lucky enough to be at this concert, at the Hammersmith Odeon in London and saw Gary many many times. I first saw him in 1969 on Folkestone when he was with Skid Row (not the American band, the Irish one). He always gave 110%. Yesterday, 6th February marked 13 years since we sadly lost him. R.I.P Maestro. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
He is a musician, his body was one with his guitar - he was unique and special due to his tone, technique - and being able to reach the soul of the listener (if the listener was not to far gone, or to young). One of my top 5 guitarplayers as of yet. RIP Master😍
the messiah will come again-live in montreaux 1990 and parisienne walkways-live in montreaux 2010 are some of his best work, master guitarist, one of the best
I like you and have attended Concerts since 1971. I have mixed feelings about your reaction, my friend..You love the Blues and I like your enthusiasm but I, at 69 years old, have shed a tear before to this but that was because it was played through' without your 6 brief pauses so every time,I closed my eyes and enjoyed the beauty, you brought it to a halt and you can't keep turning on emotion like a tap . Twice you, briefly, paused DURING the solo, once just to tell us "Now this IS a solo" i.e. "This is what you call a solo" but that was one pause too many and unnecessary. It reminded me of being with an early girlfriend when my Mum popped her head around the door and broke all the rhythm, flow, and momentum. Good Luck.
