I used to be part of the unwashed masses lol.Unfortunately when u start dressing well u start being more critical of other mens dressing style.When I see a guy with dirty running shoes with joggers I start rolling my eyes with disgust lol
I’m so happy I found ministry of supply and this review. I’m what you’d call “ transitioning “ from jeans and T-shirt wardrobe to grown up suit wardrobe. Doing it slowly... it’s a comfort confidence thing and I don’t want freak out from friends and family. Also losing weight helped a lot.

John, I am very happy you did this video, as I was interested in their technical innovation to the menswear community. I also just received my Durant oxfords from the Beckett Simonon December campaign, and I can say that they are a beautiful pair of shoes. They did not come with branded insoles or a shoehorn as shown in your video, but rather very thin black insoles and extra laces and individual dust bags. Another small detail was that the shoebox it came in was too big for my shoes. Also, according to their production updates, they hand polish their shoes at the factory before they ship them... something that even AE doesn't do. Anywas, I love your videos and I am glad that you recommended them to me because I didn't know that quality dress shoes could exist at that price point.
what's your pick between bluffwork's and this one from ministry of supply?
My pants have a Jeep Wrangler key pocket. Also serves as my extra magazine pocket.

Oh I mentioned in your A.O.S. Suit review to order an extra pair of pants due to the wear& tear you'll get &/or in case your suit starts to deteriorate ogre time, do order another pair of pants in case they rip, stretch or deteriorate over time due to the wear& tear, it's always nice to have a backup plan somthng I'm going to start doing either ordering an extra pair of pants or the jacket
How does this compare to the Bluffworks Blazer?

How do you compare the Velocity Suit to the Bluffworks Gramercy Suit? Which looks more like a regular/formal suit and less tech? Durability comparisons?
Would it be a waste of money to buy anything from them if you work really really hard? Imagine a 77 hour work week or 7 days a week; doing the equivalent to modest cross fit training, working around narrow places where snagging is common, and in the outdoors for most of it. I ruin pants (and shoes the most). The pockets, buttons and zippers usually wear out after a year, and knicks appear sooner rather than later.
I think the fit score for the jacket is not all that high Doesn't have a nice silhouette

I'm sorry but I'm not paying $500 for a suit. The blazer alone costs $498 while the dress pants are an additional $188 according to their website. Price gouging much?
Blazer costs that because dry cleaning cost will disappear after owning this blazer. Any tradional blazer would need dry cleaning. These can be machine washed.
That's the primary justification. Kinda a one and done. No wrinkles.... stains....
Never owned one. That's just my assumption as to why.

Ouch, that is too short
Is it just me, or are the gorge lines really low?
Big fan and love your work. Not sure if this been answered already, would you consider this for your first suit or go with Oliver wicks as it seems like the price are almost the same (~$600) ..assuming you don't need this for traveling.
Probably better to get a legit suit for your first one and not this style since it's a little less verstile.

A beautiful suit you do love your suits& you have more than I do, I'm looking into buying quite a few have to start putting money aside for my suits& there expensive but that's life I need to spend good money on suits like you do
An awesome video too& I have to say you look amazing in that white shirt it's beautiful, & im the same measurements as you. a 38R & 29-32R for the pants, 40 regular for the blazer/jacket is too big for me I think

Will the kinetic blazer give over time? My size 38 arrived today fits perfect barring the shoulders and arms. If it gives a little it’ll be amazing.

Any experience with main stream performance lines like banana republic’s “smart-weight” suits? I’m just wondering how a main stream line compares to these up and comers when it comes to this specific category of clothes. For the record, I have yet the pleasure to try on any performance oriented suit at all so this is just curiosity If main stream lines just aren’t worth it these days.
I consider Charles Tyrwhitt as mainstream? Definitely need to include more Gap, BNR JCrew etc this year. Good suggestion!
did you have a tailor pull in the 40 coat? I am between a 44 and 46, the 44 fits trim but the 46 feels like a tent. just curious if getting the 46 brought in is the right move or sticking with the trimmer look of the 44.

I’m usually a 31 waist on most pants brands. Any advice on these as to sizing? 32 slim?
Worth going with that one, the thigh is very comfortable on me in that size. Free exchanges worst case scenario...

If the bluffoworks fits then you're golden! I think both are great but I like the fit options in the Bluffworks and made in USA aspect. Great choice Jeffrey!
