this is how everybody learns and I believe there is an alternative. falling leaves first probably. but then instead of hop turns, practice keeping the body perpendicular to the board and turning on the snow without pumping nor hopping. then pumping going downwards only, and absorbing the upward transition to avoid getting air yet. then the opposite: only pumping going upwards. when you're ok with all of the above, begin to pump both transitions. at this stage, you start to get proper technique for proper airs, so you should keep your shoulders "inside" the pipe at all times. and this explains it is crucial to keep your body somewhat perpendicular to your board instead of focusing on hop turns. in the end, going upwards, you mostly push when you pump during the transition and what makes the slight shift towards the inside of the pipe is residual from that push if anything. after that, there's probably fine tuning hit angles and push timing. btw I think a hop turn is an incorrectly timed transition push
Decent guide, but they said at the start they'd cover "first airs to even advanced tricks" in the halfpipe. Didn't even get into how to do a 360. There are literally no videos that exist which teach how to spin more than 180 in a pipe. It's sad.
Advice rating 10/10, music rating 1/10....it's cool how good advice is kinda timeless. This is a great progression for beginners.
