    I'm just a layperson with no profession within medicine or anything like that, but I've recently found an interest in basic A&P. Saw your video of the peretoneum in clingfilm and was immediately hooked by your energy and obvious glowing interest in the subject. I'm guessing you're a teacher, professor or something like that? Anyway, love the way you so smoothly and effortlessly talk about the body and its build and functions, your energy is very catchy, and a bit wacky in that good way, hope to learn just an iota of your knowledge. I'm looking forward to going thru your videolibrary.

    The shoulder girdle or pectoral girdle is the set of bones in the appendicular skeleton which connects to the arm on each side. In humans it consists of the clavicle and scapula; in those species with three bones in the shoulder, it consists of the clavicle, scapula, and coracoid.

    Very beautiful information.
    I would suggest to make videos on synovial joints showing their movements, Range of motion,
    Measure to know Range of motions for different people, limitations on Range of motion, and how to overcome from it.
    Thanks sir

    Thank you. You didn't mention that the clavicle also rotates. When you have your elbow at the side of the body and you lift it forward and backwards the clavicle rotates in the sternoclavicular joint, no?

    One thing that I was hoping to see was how these bones work together to allow the arm to elevate laterally. My understanding is that as the humerus elevates, at some point it can't any more, so the clavicle and scapula continue the motion, is that correct?

    • @SamWebster
      @SamWebster  2 роки тому +1

      That's correct. I might talk about this when I talk about the trapezius muscle (ua-cam.com/video/lgI6mRZMZeQ/v-deo.html) or the large muscles of the shoulder region (ua-cam.com/video/ITcd7YelCjI/v-deo.html). Or in both, probably.

    Thanks for your videos, they are really helpful!I have a question about the Acromioclavicular Joint: what range of movement does it have?to me it seems as if scapula and clavicle moved together like an only one bone....thanks and greetings

    • @lamiahsalim
      @lamiahsalim 2 роки тому

      The acromioclavicular joint permits the rotation of acromion at the acromial end of the clavicle .

    Thank goodness for muscles! Else our arms would be in dire straits with all that hanging off one little spot. Just wish I had better ones ....... muscles that is. Says someone who has had an awful shoulder injury and is left with the impression doctors and therapists haven't a clue. But that can't be true, can it? 😄

    Please sir my humerus always pulls out of its whenever I swing my right hand so how do I fix it back to normal to avoid the pulling out?

    • @Mike-hw5jp
      @Mike-hw5jp 3 роки тому

      He mentions how the rotator cuff muscles help to hold your humerus in the socket. You could start strengthening those...or see a professional
