Thanks for the review. I have the Action X first generation and do not consider the mentioned improvements significant enough as reason to upgrade to v2. While I love the backpack, there is one major annoyment that drives me crazy sometimes: The outer fabric of the Action X V1 creates noises at every step while walking which is very annoying if you want to move silently at night or are doing wildlife photography. I also have the Explore V2 in the same color which has a completely "silent" outer fabric but there is no version larger than 35L. Did they change the outer fabric on the Action X2 for a more silent fabric or are you still experiencing noticeable rubbing noise (especially at the shoulder strap attachment points)? This would actually be a determining reason to exchange the Action X V1 with the V2 for me.
Hi Austin, good review! What do you think of using a traditional hiking bag with a camera cube (for longer hikes). So far I have standardized on Wandred bags.
I just got the action x25 in the mail 2 days ago. I honestly was kinda shocked at how heavy it is compared to my normal backpacking bag. Do you think there is enough trade off for using a dedicated photog bag like this or should I just keep using my backpacking bag and a camera insert?

Interesting! I'll have to do some more research!

That’s definitely the most comfortable way to do it! Just less convenient to access your camera. Up to you to decide if it’s worth it!

I like using mine for day hiking because it’s easier to carry more camera stuff. For backpacking tho, I use an insert with an Osprey bag.
@@AustinJamesJackson cool! I’ll probably hang onto it and give it a go. Makes sense if it’s just a day hike. Thanks!
i like how you review it on the sand . love how you trust the durability of the bag .
