Paul and Ringo look good! Hopefully this world will have them around a lot longer. Hard to believe John was only 40 when he was taken from us by that " monster". Miss George too. He went too soon, thanks to cancer. Lucky for us we will always have their extraordinary and fantastic music forever!! :)

I've always felt that if anyone deserves to be immortal it was John, Paul, George, and Ringo

If you mean George Harrison, that's as in we miss him, 'cause he's been dead as of November 29, 2001. The Beatles truly ended in any way, shape or form when John Lennon was fatally shot on December 8, 1980.

I have, in my collection, the actual record that's displayed on the turntable! I bought it in the 90s from a London record shop to whom the BBC sold a lot of its vinyl. What's my copy, which is in Near Mint condition, now worth I wonder........?

Today we celebrated the 60th Anniversary. It just strikes me how different the world was in 2012... But fortunately, The Beatles are forever!

Indeed. Three words from this song changed the world but it hit number 15 or 17. Then they wrote please please me and was released in america. as paul would put it: It's doing something. but it was their first hit in england and it was re released in america and it reached the top line

They were a group, not a band. I do so dislike all these Americanisms that have crept into our English language of late, such as train station instead of railway station, I was 15 in 1962 and I can assure you that The Beatles were called a group....a pop group.....not a band!
