Just picked mine up yesterday. Jury is still out. I love the quality, just not sure I like the nylon strap vs the solid bar on my Spot Hogg Wise Guy. Gotta play with it for a bit.
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors if the sole had a hard connect instead 9f the strap that would be my choice. It has a great trigger, but no matter how light I have it set my shots still pull right. I believe that's because 9f the strap. My gripe on on Wise Guy is the trigger is super light, I wish I could get it where I had better control over it. But I shoot it great. Out 9 then2, my Wise Guy's edges out a win.
I shoot this release. I love it. I make it so i have 0 travel and set heavy on the tension. So it just breaks. No creep. and i make it as shirt as possible to get a deep hook on my second knuckle.
Gotta say you are one of the very few that actually set up and use a trigger properly. 👍👍 IMO, a bow shop shouldn’t even have those crappy barrel tube designed releases for sale. Those things ruin more new archers than any other archery product. There are multiple videos of “ shop” owners/operators reviewing bows and improperly using releases. I immediately give them negative reviews because if that’s what they do what else are they doing wrong?
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors I used a Carter quickie plus for years set with a fairly heavy spring. It’s still my backup release. About 5 years ago I went to the Wise Choice and quickly learned to use it correctly. I learned they redesigned the new one with no travel adjustment just tension and I like it better. I’m sure it has better and smoother internals? I bought the Stan execute 2 but it won’t adjust right. Was gonna use it for playing around and possible backup. Gotta send it back to Stan. Cost a damn fortune.
@timgruver5932 Holy %#?! You hit the nail on the head here!!! I’ve been saying this same thing for years. I cringe every time. There are a ton of people walking out of shops on the daily that are gonna be a total disaster in less than 6 months. Most won’t stay with it just because of lack of proper technique being taught from the first as well as the junk release they were sold. It’s sad really.
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors Great to hear! My coach, Jared Jones recommended. I'm firing my Scott Verge hinge hybrid like an index finger command shot anyway haha.
I like mine i have it setup so i can wrap my index around it and touch my thumb. This makes the action a closed loop and stops you from smashing the trigger which for me forces me to pull straight back with my back in order for the shot to go off.
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors ok I see. I don't want "hot", I just want 0 travel. Looks like I'm sticking with my like mike 2. Nothing wrong with what I got, I just like new and shiny 😂
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors Didn't adjust anything out of the package that's when it misfired. Turned the only adjustment screw it has almost all the way in and it still missfired. I'm not the only one this has happened to.
Are they sending you a new one? I'm not denying some had issues. I also heard the same. The first time drawing my bow, I held it away from my face but I didn't have any issues with the demo model. It's shot very nice and crisp.

What's the verdict?
I have the wise guy as well. That's another great release but the trigger is a little too long.

I'll have to check that one out

It's one of my top index release recommendations.
I’m buying this release or the new Spot Hogg. I like mine very hot with zero creep. Which one can be adjusted hotter?
Are you talking about the Wise Guy?
Wise guy or even tuff guy
Both of the spot hoggs you can set as hair triggers.
Not so much on the Stan. If you go too light it won’t hold.
Thank you. Which of the 2 Spot Hoggs do you prefer?
I like the tuff guy because it has the closed jaws but both at great releases.

Thank you. I appreciate it. They are easy to set up wrong and easy to slap 😂. Once I went to handheld release I could never go back to an index.

I had issue adjusting the stan onnex

Great release.

That's a good tip! I'll have to try this method out.
Hope you do a strike x . Very interested in both
I plan on it as soon as they become available. I heard they delayed shipping until the new year 😳
How does that one differ from the Extinction 2
Sorry, I am not 100% sure. I have never shot one before.
Man making me want to bust my bow out and start shooting it again
I never stop! Would you be interested in shooting a 3D winter league
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors is it local?
Can you set it to no travel, same as the like mike 2
Yes. You can’t set this to zero travel and make this VERY hot.

Why is that not green?
It's a demo model.
Sent mine back, couldn't get it to hold 50lb. Almost punched my teeth out on first draw.
Which screw did you adjust?
