Japan was a very resource-scarce country back in its Warring States period, and as a result, most armor was ceramic and/or wood, with what little metal (if any) being scrap metal by even same-era european blacksmiths. Wood and Ceramic are easier by orders of magnitude to put designs like that on, especially more complicated ones.

They became to famous "Fun Squad". In the shoguns property the three legends fought against the shogun and tried to confince them to stop this war. The shogun seemed agreeing, but played a dirty trick on them. As the shogun was about to end them, his son and the whole clan stopped him from his tyrant act and so sealed him behind a room, where he sits and regrets his desicions. The son, now as the new leader, followed the three and met with the human and the shogun of the mountain. They came to conclusion that this war was pointless and lived together in piece and harmony. As that piece was astablished. The three legends and the human disapeared an noone has track of where their journey leads."
