A truly lovely song and arrangement. Is it any less lovely since Brian May wrote it about his cat who died? Anyone who has ever had a treasured pet who died would say no. It's always heart breaking.
So much more interesting than the standard versions you see on YT, You've added chords in the left hand, and fully realized the lyrics in the right. This should be the definitive version.
@@OtmarBinder my precious cat was hit by a car and killed 5 days ago. That's what brought me to your video. You almost certainly know this song is about Brian May's boyhood cat, and how much he missed it even as an adult. I was looking for a version of this song to play. I don't have nearly the piano skills required to duplicate your performance, but it inspires me to try, so I can honor my beautiful baby who died far too young. Thank you for this lovely, deeply emotional and heartfelt performance on that gorgeous Steinway.
The Steinway is among the best pianos I've ever played on - thank you for recognising the quality of the instrument - it really plays "by itself", to directly translate from German to English. I'm very sorry to hear about this very recent incident, truly feel for you and wish you nothing but the very best.
Absolutely beautiful, the way you can hear how it's your own interpretation of the song, wonderful! You made an already emotional song so much more powerful. ❤❤❤❤❤
One of Queens best. I wish Freddie had sung it. He was such a gifted singer. Only India’s Bollywood singers come somewhere close. He was an incredible singer.
First like! It's always so nice to see an arrangement of yours pop up in my notifications menu every two weeks. Just as all of your others, your masterful arrangement and emotional delivery perfectly capture the spirit of the song. Outstanding work! (I'm running out of different ways to say "Great job", hehe) P.S. Love the changes in camera angles; the red wall makes a very nice background!
Keep up the good work! This sounds beautiful considering it’s one of my favorite Queen songs from that album! 👍🏽 thanks you for bringing joy to my ears
@@matti3800There's a version sung by Freddie and it's technically brilliant but, for me, lacks something in genuine depth of emotion. The difference is interesting, you should check it out!

I saw the animated video for the first time today. I suddenly realised it was about a beloved cat...it broke my heart. And now I can't unimagine it.

Queen sacó una versión cantada por Freddie Mercury. De esa época. Búscala acá en UA-cam. Fue por los 40 años del disco News Of The World
Actually he did it. there is a version sung by Freddie. But I prefer the brian may version
My favorite queen song. You did this so beautifully.

Is there any sheet music for this arrangement? It’s wonderful 😌
Hi Nathan, I've only got lead sheets for all those songs! Very best wishes!
I have really wanted to play this song with piano but could not find any score of this. Do you know where I can find it ? ?
I only have leadsheets for those songs, yoma32, and not proper arrangements! You can drop me a line anytime, best wishes!
😍👌

Эх, тут не хватило басов для большего трагизма и печали на 2:29. А, так, очень даже неплохая игра.
