When launching (especially tuned) cars with turbos, you should wait until the oil temp reaches at least 200 deg F before putting max strain on your engine. Not saying yours wasn't, just kind of a PSA.

Just a few notes after trying it with my car, my car doesn't have drive select and I still had launch control. Also, the traction control doesn't have to be all the way off, it can be in sport and still launch.
I have a base 2015 A3 premium. And no drive select. I can’t get the rpm to go above 1900 🤔 any suggestions. Is it possible they didn’t add the feature? It’s the Quattro with s-tronic
I would also mention when trying launch control the car must be at operating temp. I think at least 175-180 coolant temp else the car won't launch correctly. Also I think the S3's rev to 4K PRM before letting off the brake for full launch control, but I could be wrong. Still haven't tried this in my S3 yet.

I have a problem with my Audi A3 8V 2014 1.8T with DSG gearbox, I cant launch. I have read all of the instruction before activating the launch control: To get the engine to a normal working temperature, to deactivate the TC by holding the button for a few secs, then changing the car to Manual 1 or Sport 1, and straighten the steering wheel, after all of these steps then you have to press the brake to the bottom and then press the acceletator until the engine revs get arround to 4,000 RPMs and off you go. But my car can only get to 1,000 - 1,500 RPMs and nothing more happends, any ideas of what is causing this? I am pretty sure these cars with that gearbox have this LC option preinstalled, right?
Found out that you don't need drive select to launch a 2015 Audi A3, at least with the APR Stage 1 ECU tune or higher, I don't have drive select and all I have to do is turn ESC off, put it in S mode, and then press the break and gas at the same time, builds boost. On a side note: There is a way to edit your ECU to enable Drive Select if you don't have it installed factory, its hidden in the program, but you'll have to use your MMI to get to the screen.

If you're doing it properly like he's showing, you might have haldex issues. You should get none/tiny ammounts of wheelspin when done correctly, if you still get wheelspin you should take it to a mechanic

I’m looking for a video that will educate me on my a3 .... my car keeps getting stuck in limp mode with the EPC light on ... however when I go under the hood & wiggle the spark plug it temporarily fixes it. I’m simply trying to educate myself a little more on under the hood of my Audi and what parts are what causing what, if you could make a video or point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate 😅 I’ve already replaced my spark plugs but I think it’s the distributor piece ?? Pls help

It’s a shame, I really want to experience a launch with boost

I've heard that the engine needs to be warm....if not then rpms will be kept low to protect the engine.

Make sure your transmission is put in sport mode first. Before in manual mode.

That means your haldex is toast. Try to get it warrantied at the dealer. If not youll have to get a new haldex pump or diff
